Appreciate your concern, but as a fellow cook I know what I see. These things happen in various establishments and I understand. My only complaint was the response I received upon expressing my dissatisfaction about what the food that was served to me. read more

One of my absolute favorites! Perfect for plant based cuisine. You can see they care about the quality of their food. Exceptional service!

So many amazing gluten free and vegan choices using high quality, seasonal ingredients! Staff is so helpful and knowledgeable! This is great and fast food! read more

Seriously one of the best places in town for healthy GOOD food. I wish they made it more restaurant style so we could have family dinners there but I love the take out option and their food and service is 2nd to none. Thank you for being awesome! read more

Bacio's carry out consists of a deli-style display case, with maybe 15 various dishes to choose from. I brought home a delicious dinner for 2 (or 3..) for under $25. I ordered the meatloaf, Anna's potatoes, and a really nice chopped kale salad. Healthy, quality take-out for a reasonable price. Can't wait to try their other stuff! read more

Can we talk about the Paleo Box? I've used Bacio for work-related catering... and now I might have a personal problem. :) Delicious!!!

Delicious food! I have yet to be disappointed. It's small and cozy inside, but the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Bacio handled the catering for my wedding in June 2012. I had a wonderful experience through the whole process of planning and on the day of the wedding. I never felt pressured, enjoyed the food, and the staff was organized. The staff was also very kind and considerate, I would use Bacio again in a heartbeat! read more

It hadn't occurred to me to review a catering service, but I had to see if this business was on Yelp, because after the amazing fare & service at a friend's wedding I thought they deserved a huge shout out. With a guest mix of Vegetarians & Meat-Eaters, and a few nut allergies thrown in, I found I could open an conversation with how great the food was, and how seamless and friendly the service was and the convo kept going on with everyone chiming in on their positive experience. Also, there was an amazing mix of craft beers, and I NEVER saw dishes stacked around, yet no one seemed to be "hovering." I was really happy with the next morning's gathering as well, and when I complemented the hosts, they told me it was the same folks. Now, I live down in LA, so I won't have the benefit of engaging the services of Bacio, but I've been to catered events in LA which could takes some serious lessons from these folks in Chico. This is a TOP recommend from me for quality of food, great service, amazing variety & wait staff that all seem readily informed about the fare & options. read more

I just had The. Best. Damn. Vegetarian Lasagne I've ever had - and I make a darn good one myself! We ordered this luscious food for our work holiday party and the taste did not disappoint! At first I was surprised at the hefty price, but after biting into this....well worth it! If you want something different, please, I implore you - order the Polenta Lasagne. You'll live happily ever after once you taste this. read more

REALLY wanted to like this place as they are close to my work and their carry out options are super convenient for my 1/2 lunch, tried them three times and have been consistently underwhelmed. For these prices their meats should be organic and their soups fully cooked. read more

It's hit and miss for the take out. Someday's it's fresh other day's like most recently the tomato sauce and meatballs seemed as though they had turned. Aside from the Chicken Marabella and Pulled Pork the majority of the dishes could use a bit more flavor, seasoning and creativity. It reminds me of a very small version of the Whole Foods prepared food section at a bit of a higher price point and less choices. read more

Bacio Catering, located in the old Kramore Inn building, has become my wife's new favorite place to stop for dinner. With a new baby at home, she's not often in the mood to get gussied up to go out. Bacio is the perfect stop-gap between going out to eat versus preparing something at home. She's become somewhat addicted to the half roasted chicken. Other favs are the salmon cakes, pearled rice, eggplant parmesan, fruit crisp, and of course the ghost of Kramore Inn: hungarian mushroom soup. The food tastes fresh and healthy, and they use a lot of local ingredients; I saw their truck parked at the Wednesday afternoon farmer's market - a good sign. Seating is limited to three stools and counter, but it is designed for takeout. We don't care, as long as they keep making that roasted chicken. read more

I love this place! The food is sooo tasty and really great quality. The pulled pork sandwich is super yummy! I went to a wedding that was catered by them and it was the best food I've had at a wedding by far! The main dish was a chicken mirabella which is one of my favorite dishes to cook at home and they really do a good job cooking it. The place is super cute too and they worker are always very nice. read more

Bacio catered our daughter's wedding at Centerville Estate. The guest raved about the food, and Sheri & her team were great to work with. All in all, working with Bacio made our event an overwhelming success! read more

My husband and I wanted to use all local businesses for our wedding in Chico and came across Bacio's. We lived in Tempe, AZ at the time and wanted to get married in Chico where we met and went to college. (Married November 2008, I know it took me a while to write a review) First thing I'll say is the owner is phenomenal and she really worked with us, so we didn't have to stay with the typical meat, veggies, and potatoes fare. She informed us that she had recently done a vegetable polenta lasagna for a wedding (I think her daughter's) and provided a sample upon our visit. It was amazing. I still have dreams about that dish. We didn't have to worry about a variety of meats or vegetarians. Weeks after the wedding I had compliments of the lasagna they made. They also made sure we were able to sit down and eat our meal and helped with a few odds and ends making it convenient not to have a wedding planner. The only hiccup which is why I gave four stars is our tables were not arranged as planned, so the guys in the party had to rearrange them before the wedding began. I was a little peeved since I had even made an excel spreadsheet for them. Overall, I had a wonderful wedding with there help and the table hiccup rolled off my shoulders. read more

I just got married at Lakeside Pavilion last week and Bacios did an AMAZING job!! They have many different options and are very flexible. They also did our bartending which saved us a ton of money since we didnt have to hire a full bar, just paid for the alcohol and bartenders. Sheri was great to work with, she emailed me back so quickly and was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the wedding. The only reason I did 4 stars is because I would have liked to try the food (roasted potatoes vs mash, lemon chicken or marbella.. its hard to decide!) But they gave me a small tasting in a to go box of a couple things, their food is so good that no matter what you choose off the menu it will be good. read more

Just wondering if anyone knew what happened to Kramore Inn... I don't live in Chico anymore, but when I come home, this was one of my go-to places. One day it was closed and I never knew what happened. Any info? read more

We had Bacio cater our wedding in May 2010, and it was simply amazing! We worked directly with Amanda the owner to plan our menu and she coordinated our event personally. From the first meeting, to the execution of the event Bacio set themselves apart. We had a vegetarian menu (including their great Polenta Lasagna and Chico Rice Salad) and our guests raved that it was the best wedding food they had ever had and that they "didn't miss the meat." Our wedding was about an hour outside of Chico and Bacio did a great job coordinating the meal, appetizers, main buffet, cake and champagne service. Amanda also coordinated all the rentals for us, which made planning a lot easier. When we were interviewing photographers and other vendors we heard it many times and it is certainly true- Bacio is the best. read more

Dissapointed that I didn't try them out as soon as they opened up down the block from where I work. Stumbled in during my lunch break one day and I was so impressed that I now go back a couple of times a week. The food is fresh and delicious. The sonoma chicken salad is the BEST! "The Sandwich" is incredible. I recommend the salad trifecta. A great way to have a little bit of everything. The staff is friendly, service is fairly quick, the interior is nicely decorated. No complaints here! Based on the service and food I've experienced, I would gladly have them cater my events. read more

Bacio has some really good food! You definitely have to have more of an adventurous appetite when you go here because some of the food seems strange, but it's all really great. I love the Thai Noodle Salad, it's delicious all by itself. Their salmon cakes are pretty yummy too! read more

Thank you Amanda and crew for yet another fabulous event! You have been my exclusive personal and professional caterer for 25 years and have never disappointed - you actually always go above and beyond. Thank you for an amazing job at our home on Saturday evening celebrating my dad's birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation was fabulous and Lindsey & Abby were professional, discreet and thorough. Thank you! I highly recommend Bacio Catering & Carry Out! read more

I just stopped by Bacio for the first time after a recommendation from Canopy Farms to pick up a quick bite to-go for my busy boyfriend and I. The food is delicious, and I love that many of the ingredients are organically-grown and sourced locally! There are options for every dietary style, including gluten-free, vegetarian/vegan, and paleo. I am especially excited to find local paleo offerings as these are somewhat hard to come by here in Chico. Even more outstanding than the food was the service. I didn't catch the names of the three employees who helped me (Thank you SO much, you all are awesome!), but each of them went over the top to make my first experience easy, positive, and memorable. The environment, although busy and fast-paced at the counter, felt uplifting, efficient, and comfortable. The employees work really hard to create a wonderful atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression. My boyfriend has been seeking healthier to-go options and he lives just around the corner, so we will definitely be coming back here more often. Thanks, Bacio! Full belly, happy heart. read more

Delicious and healthy food! This is my absolute favorite combo to find. Good and good for you. I'm always thrilled when I hear that Bacio is catering the event I'm at. The salads are my jam! Keep up the good work, I don't want Chico to be without you read more

Bacio's take out has some good items! The menu seems to stay the same a little too long for my taste. But, I always feel like the food is made with high quality ingredients!! If anyone from Bacio is reading this, please add in new items more often! Other than that, keep up the good work! read more

We ordered the Valentine's take out dinner on the advise of a friend and were not pleased. The dinner is supposed for two people and the quantity is very small. My wife and I don't even eat much but this was truly a portion size more appropriate for one rather than two people. The bread was basic (three small pieces of French bread, six crackers, a small container of dip, cooked vegetables that were unfavored and steam cooked very soft and a small container of butter). The cake was more appropriately sized for two people as if that was all the customer was concerned about. This was a total disappointment on what is supposed to be a memorable night and for $75 is a complete scam. The owners should be ashamed of advertising this as a complete dinner for two - more like a complete lie! read more

Last month for my daughter's wedding we had Bacio supply the entree for the rehearsal dinner, cater the wedding and supply the bartender's for the evening as well. The level of service and delicious food had our wedding guests raving with compliments. All their staff from beginning to end were extremely professional and easy to work with. We were on a strict budget and they really gave us good suggestions on where to spend and where to save. Their set-up was flawless, delivery of service superb and at the end of the night packaged everything up for us and made a special late night dinner for the bride and groom. I highly recommend them for any event you are hosting! Patsy O.-mother of the bride read more

Wow, I was able to cruise through the holidays with Bacio's help. The fresh salads were great additions to every meal, every potluck. The yummie turkey meatballs were a big hit at cocktail parties where everyone seems to be gluten free and watching their carbs! Everything from crunchy kale salad to the asian noodle salad to the cream of Broccoli soup were so fresh and delicately seasoned. This is my favorite place to stop on the way home and pick up dinner. A;ways fresh and yummie and a great choices. read more

I love the pulled pork sandwich! Everything I have tried from Bacio's take out is delicious and healthy. I eat here with my fiance occasionally and it never disappoints. I would totally have them cater my wedding if I was having mine in town. It is perfect for those who like to eat healthy but don't to compromise that when they want to grab a quick bite to eat out. read more

We used them for our wedding and they were excellent! Great staff kept everything going smoothly at our wedding and wow the food was amazing! Definitely one of the top caterers in Chico. Pricey but worth the investment for your big day! read more

I met with Amanda at Bacio to discuss options we had for catering services for our wedding. About a week after the meeting, I emailed her to let her know that we decided to go a different route in catering and was very sincere in my apology. She responded with an extremely condescending email telling me that we decided quickly and implying that if we were to choose a less expensive option we would be "getting what we paid for." She then went on to explain that she does not run a discount catering service, which was not at all what I had asked of her. I had also not asked her to compromise the quality of her service which was most definitely implied in her response. I was really disappointed in how she replied to me, when I apologized three different times in the email I had sent her. All in all, we decided to go with an option that coordinated more with our budget but would have recommended Bacio's service to anyone who asked us for catering recommendations before receiving her response. Now, I would have to say that our choice of not using Bacio was a choice that I am more than happy with, because I wouldn't have wanted to work with someone who spoke to me as if I was trying to manipulate their service. read more

Love, Love, Bacio! Bacio's Carry Out food is delicious and healthy. You can pick up a quick snack, lunch or dinner. Our family enjoys Bacio at least once a week. Sometimes we get enough for dinner. Sometimes we pick up a side dish to supplement what were making at home. They have everything a family could want. Our kids love the salmon, chico rice salad, meatballs and cookies! My husband and I love the pot pies (big enough to split between two adults), chicken marbella, super slaw and salmon cakes. Fresh, healthy and local...try it today! read more

Went in for tasting for my wedding. They never even sent me a quote. Food is ok but they're unorganized.

Bacio catered our wedding and we have nothing but AMAZING things to say about Amanda and the whole team! They also provided bartending service for us and it was great! People remember the food at weddings...all of our guests RAVED about how great the food was at ours (even our vegetarian & gluten free guests!) The service, planning, and advice Bacio provides is really invaluable. Can't wait to stop by the carry-out on our next Chico visit!! read more

My daughter was married this last weekend and we used Bacio for our catering. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure working with Amanda and Sheri. They were the consumate professionals and took care of every detail. It was truly like having an additional wedding planner. The food at the reception was fabulous as was the serving staff and Sheri who oversaw the event. I can't recomend them highly enough. read more

I only go in for lunch. As a hot lunch it's nicer cuisine than other lunches so if you're sick of diner food it's a nice change. A little pricey. Chairs are very uncomfortable so I recommend getting it to go. read more

My wife frequently picks up take out from Bacio's. We like their pork sandwiches a lot, and the Chico rice salad is very tasty. Service is rather inconsistent. Orders called ahead aren't necessarily ready on time. Take out portion size varies widely. Several times my wife and I have gotten the same meal and had very different quantities. Since the price runs on the high side, greater consistency would be a plus (as the error tends toward too little rather than too much). read more

We recently had Bacio cater for my daughter's wedding. From the first day that we started planning the event, the folks at Bacio offered many suggestions on how to make our special event all that we wanted it to be. Everything including venue layout suggestions, the menu and food presentation, bar service, and their entire event exposure itself was PERFECT! They were very familiar with the venue (Patrick Ranch Museum was absolutely beautiful) and knew how to take the best advantage of what was available at The Ranch. The food was amazing and plentiful. We did not have a wedding planner or coordinator yet Bacio made us feel like we had one. Thank you Bacio for making our special event a truly memorable one. read more
