We went to Bachman's when we were visiting some friends in Bloomington. This place was amazing and I don't think we have anything comparable in St. Louis! There were so many greenhouses. I did a Yelp search to find floral places and this was the top choice. Little did I know how big it was going to be and how many plants and cute pots I would get. The weekend we were there happened to be Mother's Day so we did not get to eat at the cafe but I will be going back! Before we left town I wanted to get a hanging basket. It made it to St. Louis and thrived all summer! read more

Bachman's may be a little more expensive than other options but you pay for quality and amazing service. I come here every spring (so in Minnesota that's usually late May) to get the annuals I need for my garden. They have dozens of overflowing hanging baskets in any color you want. Impatiens (my favorites) by the hundreds, plus tomatoes, herbs, lettuce, peppers, corn, spinach - all the things I would love to grow but for the deer and rabbits that live in my backyard nature preserve! Over the years I have expanded my garden with perennials and Bachman's has the organic bug killers and fertilizers to keep them beautiful. As a purple card member, I also get special discounts and sales which are always fun. Today I got grass seed for the dog spots in my yard, tiny gloves so my grandson could help me plant the impatiens and herbs, and a fun experience watching a four-year-old ooh and aah over all the rows and rows of beautiful flowers. But no, I did not buy the rose tree he wanted. I'm not that good a gardener! I let him pick sedum. Something even I can't kill....! read more

This is a difficult review to write because Bachman's usually does such a good job. I'm adding a star for past performance. I ordered a multi-colored rose bouquet for Valentine's Day 2024 and picked it up at the store on Valentine's Day. They were in a vase and wrapped in plastic. When I removed the plastic at home, 4 of the roses immediately fell to the side. 2 of the lighter colored roses had already begun to brown. They didn't last. These roses should have been sold or discarded 3-4 days before the day they were sold to me. read more

My sister and her family recently moved to Edina--i am a huge plant person, she isn't! I live out of state. When I visited her last month I stopped by to get flowers and they were amazing. Today, my sister gave me the "green light" to get her a few house plants, but the catch was that she would be heading to Bachman's in 30 minutes to pick them up! I called and spoke to Lynn--she helped me over the phone to find beautiful and well grown house plants (monstera, bamboo palm, and a bird of paradise). Wow! She somehow orchestrated picking the perfect plants and having them ready for pick up in under 30 minutes. My sister had her four daughters in the car so she was unable to go into the store--thankfully Lynn was ready and had the plants ready for her! Amazing job. So thankful for Lynn and all of her hard work. I recommend everyone to visit bachman's! read more

My wife have used Bachmans as our main source for plants for many many years. Today it changed! During our visit today. We picked out are usual cart full of plants. At the checkout when the clerk had rung up our order. We found that Bachmans only excepts only credit cards! We only deal in cash. This helps us with our budget. The clerk could not find any sign stated credit card only. There wasn't any notice at the only entrance. Had there been a notice we wouldn't have gone in. Thus we would have avoided the embarrassment at the checkout. By the way on all printed money it states, This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private. I guess Bachmans dose not respect the UNITED STATES and their money. Sad SO sad. read more

I have made my last trip to Bachman's today. Yes they do sanitize their carts, one entrance and exit, plus you need to return your own cart to the parking lot, all good. However they do not require staff of guests to wear face mask, but they will not accept cash because it cannot be confirmed virus free, where according to the cashier customers could wash their cards. I would think requiring all to wear a mask and the cashier wear gloves would accomplish a safe environment for all, even better than not requiring wearing of masks it not accept cash. Ordered Valentine's day flowers online for a very special someone. I must say the experience was a pleasant one. I had originally set the wrong delivery address but using the information in a confirmation email I was able to call and change with ease, the lady that I had spoke to was also very friendly. On V day I started to wonder if the address was changed properly or if they would get there on time, so I called, again very friendly staff, told me the status of the order and even offered to call the driver and make sure they got there before the time that they needed to be. Of course the real stars here are the flowers, I wasn't there to see it but knowing that special someone's smile was able to light up the room like it always does on account of the beautiful bouquet was enough to bring a big smile to my face as well. This store is amazing!! Flowers are wonderful and prices are great. the nursery is second to none. It's a big store so they seem to always have what I'm looking for. Great place for any type of gift. I always find something when there. We buy all our landscaping trees etc there. Last year we had an issue with bunnies eating one and they took care of it for us. Plus the help desk has answered so many pruning and other questions for us! Love this Eden Prairie location too since it's so easy to get to!! read more

I called Bachman's this morning for my son to have flowers delivered for Valentines Day to his girlfriends, nothing like being prepared. Mary could not have been any nicer. Her help, kindness, sense of humor and just over all customer service, was far superior then I could have even hoped for. I love Bachman's for many reasons, and knew that calling there I would get the freshest and most creative bouquet for my son's girlfriend, but Mary just exceeded any of my expectations. Inconsistent customer service is a recurrent problem. Sometimes it's great; other times it's not. Although Bachman's generally has good product and a large selection, the gardeners aren't diligent about removing diseased product as I witnessed when looking for an Echinacea plant. Most of the plants had aster yellows and the gardeners were not concerned about removing this product from the shelves when I told them about it or the unethical practice of selling it to unknowing customers. read more

Bachman's makes me so very happy. I love going shopping here for Christmas decor, potted plants and fresh flowers. They totally have everything you need. Although it may be a bit more expensive than your local greenhouse, the customer service it totally worth it. read more

They say you get what you pay for and Bachman's definitely follows that logic. While they may be a little more expensive than the grocery store for bouquets and other things the flowers are always fresh cut and beautiful. I can always find an interesting seasonal arrangement or another type of beautiful addition for my home. read more

Very rarely does anyone exceed my customer service expectations any more. But Bachmans Eden prairie did today. I picked out flowers for Mother's Day expecting to walk out with them in the usual plastic. The clerk removed the standard plastic and rewrapped the two sets together in a new package with a bow. Apart from having the best, freshest, and most amazing selection-this place was nice to my 85 year old grandma...which scores big time with me! I have used Bachman's for a variety of events (Thanksgiving centerpieces, University gala's, and personal corsages) and have been blown-away on each occasion. Phone calls are returned promptly, their plants last forever (or at least as long as I remember to water them :), and I love just walking into the store to smell the fresh flowers. And, don't even get me started on their cuter than life table top Christmas trees that we get every year! This is a place to go, explore, learn something new, and fall in love with plants. read more

I called Bachmans Eden Prairie in a panic this morning; I spoke with Barb who calmly and sweetly went above and beyond to help me in a time of crisis! For this I am so very grateful and a customer for life! The original floral company I went with to arrange and deliver flowers to my grandfather's funeral called me an hour before the service saying they are unable to deliver my arrangement to the service because they didn't have the resources available to do so!!!!! So at 10:25am I called from TX and spoke with Barb who was able to get all of my info, personalize a card and deliver a beautiful bouquet with 20 min to spare before the service began!!! THEY SELL UNHEALTHY PLANTS!!!!! I just moved to Minnesota and Bachman's was recommended by a friend. I wanted to add some indoor plants and flowers to my new home and so I visited Bachman's. I spent over $100 on a variety of indoor plants and flowers that I knew were hearty and would flourish in my new home. After a week, several of them began to shed their leaves and began to turn brown, in spite of them being so new. I fed and watered them, trimmed off the dry parts but it was no use! After another few weeks of babying these plants, one of the begonia stems actually fell over -- with another one following after another week! The ivy (I had ivy plants before and they always grew strong and hearty!) is now drying out. Another ivy plant simply died!!!! I am trying to revive it but it doesn't look too promising! Needless to say, I will stay away from Bachmans and go elsewhere from now on. I wasted a lot of my money there!!! read more
