Our supplier agreed that the counter needed to come off while we amend the mold with bleach. I called Christine at Cataraqui Granite to get a second opinion. NO BLEACH, she said and explained why. She asked about the suppliers guarantee for the silicon seal. Our supplier didn't mention a guarantee. Christine told me what kind of silicon to get. Finally after giving me information about what I could do (keep in mind, we didn't buy from them originally) she came up with the idea of taking the sink out (the cost of a plumber), amending the mold and reinstalling the sink. This instead of lifting the counter (lots of money). She also researched the product that would be best to get rid of the mold without damaging our counter. She was tremendous. So, when the time comes to replace or suggest granite, I would really recommend Cataraqui Granite. Imagine the care you would get if you were actually their client!

On July 23 they emailed me after I emailed to ask where they were and was told their bit was broke and they would now not come to August 10th. There was never any option given to me, no solution, no suggestion to use another edging etc. I was also put behine other customers. On Aug. 10th they came, and the backsplash was measured wrong! The installers left with hopes of returning with the right size that day..they said there was time. But the owner Mark, told them no he did not have time to cut another one and I would have to wait until August 15th, two days after my move in date. I pleaded with the installer as I had no water hookup, taps etc. but he said there was nothing he could do and I "Could Not" speak with the owner as he was not there. (I had left Mark two messages and have heard nothing back). This countertop is worth more than 7,000.00 but it is very clear Customer service is when you are placing your order. They don't care that the have left me with an incomplete kitchen. I am currently seeking advise to determine if I have any legal recourse against them for the stress they have caused me etc.

They earned an A+ grade for their work. Todd is the owner, but he works on an equal respect basis with Tom who was his first employee many years ago and Pat. They worked effectively, with mutual standards and perfectionism. His other workers also have a history of working with the Company and quality experience. The job was done extremely well and they cleaned up everything afterward. They also corrected the errors that the roof Company, ignored or did not address, which had caused a major injury and destruction of our gutters. USAA determined that the gutters were totally destroyed by snow/ice sliding into the gutters, which were about five years old. Todd, Tom and Pat had a lot of problems to fix. The cause of our disaster was having a new roof installed by a local Watertown Company. We asked the roofing construction owner three times, if my gutters, which seemed to be too close to the edge of the roof they put on, was risking our gutter integrity. I was concerned that sliding snow and ice could catch them and tear them off. He repeatedly told my wife and I that they were properly located with the roof edge and the gutters would not be touched by any run off. I met with the Clement…read moreConstruction representative to give me a quote to pave two spaces changing from grass to blacktop in my commercial parking lot and to repair the area around 5 drains. I was to take out any stump and he would do the rest. The work would be done by the end of the fall. We shook hands and he thanked me for my business. Later in the fall after I called a couple of times, he said he was not going to get to my project. He said to fill the space, which I had removed the stumps, and fill with crusher run to grade. Effectively this was the base needed before applying the asphalt. I had crusher run brought in and paid to have it spread. The next week he called to say something came up so he could work on my project but only that area I had retrofit; effectively the most profitable area for him. He would do this, "as a favor to me", for a price. In that price, no consideration was made for the money I had expended and no reference to what was left to be done. I made two mistakes. I should not have done this agreement without a contract. What can I say. I'm old school. Secondly, I shouldn't have agreed to the price he demanded in the end. I felt he had me over a barrel. He got paid. I got part of the job finished. Hope your experience is better than mine.

A fellow came poked around for ten minutes and told me that I needed a completely new electric opener. Said he had never been in a opener box in his life and quoted me $1100. He also said there were no parts availiable. I thought it was time to get out a ladder myself. It turned out to be a broken sprocket, I ordered the part and for $96 after a bit of effort and a couple youtube videos the opener was lifting like champ again. Certainly wouldn't recommend this company for service, you are better off investigating it yourself or getting that mechanically inclined neighbor to take a first look.
