So, I was looking to get a pre-purchase vehicle inspection to buy a used car. As I was looking on Yelp, I found this. None of the reviews say about inspection (reason for writing this one). So I was little suspectful but I gave it try anyway as this was the only option I had. Called to set up an appointment. Sounded great. He was very welcoming and courteous. Quickly asked the details and bought a sheet to fill out the information. While I was waiting he did the test in about 25 mins which including lifting the car to check, going for a test drive. After the inspection he explained the changes the car might need and gave a rough estimate of how much they would cost so that I can negotiate with the car owner. I requested a quote through Yelp for an oil change and tire rotation, and Moe got back to me within minutes! (and with a better price than a couple other places I checked) When I called a couple days later to schedule an appointment, he said I could come that morning, and he started working on my car as soon as I got there. While inspecting the car he found the brake pads and rotors needed replacing. A common concern some people have is that a mechanic will take advantage of them by saying something needs fixing/replacing that really doesn't. From my experience you won't have to worry about this at Babylon. Moe showed the brakes to me in person, made his suggestion without pressuring me to do it, and clearly communicated the price. He later came back to the office to tell me that upon further inspection only the front brakes needed replacing, which really showed me that he was trustworthy because he could have easily sold me rear brake parts I didn't need and I wouldn't have known the difference. I arrived at this shop yesterday thinking it was another Yelped shop (Fierros) that vacated the premisis. Mohammed greeted me and ran the code reader for no charge. Points there. My CHECK ENGINE LIGHT was on for over 2 weeks. He told me my oxygen sensors were bad and quoted about $750 to fix them all (4). When I asked about why would he not fix one and test which was bad out of the lot...he stated politely that ALL had to be fixed. I'm no mechanic, but the code reader actually 'told him' WHICH oxygen sensor needed replacement. Either he was trying to rip me off, or had no idea how to read his own equipment. I will state for the record that Mohammed was polite, and on the ball with getting a price for the parts. However, he didn't carefully look at the code reader telling him 'which' sensor to fix. OR this is the type of shop that believes if you have one 'bad tire'...all the rest of your tires need to be changed as well. There are different philosophies to running a shop. I took my car to my usual shop where the ONE SENSOR was replaced for 1/3 the price. The owner there told me the G2 sensor had come up on the screen. So that was the ONE that needed to be replaced...NOT ALL 4! And all this info comes up on the code reader, so no excuse that 3 others in fine working order..and this guy wants to fix them al! read more

Make sure you go to the right address. I made mistake to go to address that navigation software (Waze) suggested and ended up at what I assume was their previous location. Anyway, I came with no appointment to change oil and brake fluid for Jeep. After an hour I was set and on my way. Good price (considering the area) and very fast service. Extremely nice personnel and really cost effective. The first time I pulled in I was immediately greater by Mo the shop Owner. He immediately made me feel welcomed and diagnosed my car in no time. There is no run around only solid honest facts. When your a customer you want the truth and nothing else. I had a small issue with one of my cars a nearby mechanic shop wanted to charge me over 900 dollars. I had Mo give me a second opinion not only was it done that day but cost me about half. I have 2014 VW Jetta TDi. I called to see if I need an appointment to oil change and to have a price since it won't be a regular oil type anyway. Then drove there and Mo, the owner, received me with a smile and got my car in right away and assign it to one of the mechanics. He showed me the type of the oil that he gonna out and it was a made in Germany oil brand. That was a surprise for me. He made a phone call to double check since it's a diesel car and not gasoline. Also he made a phone to get a special filter for the car too. Then instead of waiting, he drove by himself to get the order. For my surprise, the filter was European too. The whole thing takes less than than 30 minutes. Everything was neat and quick beside the good quality. The mechanic checked everything else and topped the windshield. Mo doubled check with his mechanics regarding the job list. They never try to buy me anything extra. Next time, I'll bring my wife's car for oil change. Way to go Babylon Auto! read more

Not only he got back to me almost instantly, but also his quote was very reasonable, so I decided to head over to his shop immediately. Out of all the automotive shops I can say Babylon auto has my 100% trust. This shop is not a place where it's bombarded by tons of cars it has a homey feeling and it's good because the mechanic can really pay more attention to the cars that they work on as if you were to take it to a big name place you might not get the quality if service the car really needs ! The owner Mohammed is a very nice , up front , understanding and honest person . He helps with what ever he can his prices are very fair and doesn't rip you off like many shops I have dealt with before . Recently I had a couple issues with two of my cars . A bad radiator on my 2009 Nissan Moreno . I also had him fix my ac on my 1996 Ford Explorer . Mohammed had my Nissan throughly checked at no extra charge and did inform me that there were other issues going on . The price he gave me to fix my Nissan is was a very good deal I couldn't pass up . He showed me the bad parts when they were changed out and saved me some money by not having me replace my battery one other issue I was having was a bad alternator .
