After calling around to a few places, I decided to come here, and I'm really glad I did! This specific MRI is mobile! It's parked outside and about the size of a semi truck. Well, it is a semi truck, but it's converted, so its huge. There's also a lobby where you go to check in and fill out paperwork with the lady behind the counter. She was super nice, and I was able to actually print the paperwork off their website. That saved me at least a good 15 minutes. I only had to sign on additional document when I got there, so I was ready to go. After a few minutes of waiting, a really nice man came out and called my name. He was SO COOL. He took me out to the machine and we went up on the ramp inside the truck. He opened the door (it looked like a garage door) and there was a little office with all kinds of equipment in it! It was just like a doctors office. I love it! He talked me through what to expect and I had to take off my jewelry, and a few other things. After a few questions and answers, off to the machine! He whipped out the bed and said that it's A) going to make a ton of noise, and most importantly, B) Don't move! I also got to listen to the radio through headphones while I was there. They also have a curtain area if you need to do a quick change. It's not huge, but if you need a private second like I did, it is there. I will say, the machine is super loud, and I could hear it imaging even with the headphones on. The radio wasn't super good, it sounded more like an AM radio. The noise didn't bother me, and the music was a super nice touch. I also had pillows for my head and underneath my knees, which made it slightly more comfortable. Overall, I really actually enjoyed my time here. Kudos to the two guys working the machine, they really did a super job. Warm, friendly and made my day. The whole thing took a little over 30 minutes or so. It flew by, and I was done before I thought I was going to be. Thank you Oakland MRI. Your staff is wonderful and I will recommend you to my friends. Cool beans!

The check in was smooth and easy, and the waiting room was very comfortable. Lots of cozy chairs and pleasant lighting. I went to Basha Diagnostics for an MRI on my knee after a bad fall. Because of the holidays, it was…read morehard to get an earlier appointment anywhere else, so when someone recommended Basha and they were able to get me in two days sooner, I thought I got lucky. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. They called me 3x just to confirm my appointment. Then on the day of the appointment, things got ridiculous. I received TEN phone calls from different staff members. One person would call wanting to move my appointment earlier, and then a minute later someone else would call telling me to come later. It was obvious the staff doesn't communicate with each other at all. I confirmed my appointment time multiple times, and they still kept changing it. I adjusted my schedule twice based on their requests, and yet the calls kept coming. Every time I hung up, another staff member would call seconds later asking the exact same thing. They took up my entire day with constant back-and-forth, and I couldn't do anything else because I was trying to keep up with their nonstop changes. Finally, they asked me to come in at 7 PM, even though I was already there early because they told me to come earlier. When I arrived, the waiting room was packed. There were at least 14 people ahead of me, and I didn't get seen until 8:30 PM. I didn't leave until almost 9pm for an MRI. I've never experienced anything like this before. To be fair, the staff and tech were friendly once I was actually inside. The care was great, but the scheduling chaos and complete lack of communication made this one of the most stressful medical experiences I've had. After everything, I found out I had a meniscus tear and an MCL sprain, so this was not a simple visit for me. The last thing I needed was unnecessary stress. I would not recommend this place unless they seriously fix their scheduling and communication issues.

They wrote up that my shoulder had over a 50% tear, and unfortunately for me, my doctor scheduled surgery based on that. Had a different radiologist read it, and he said, not even close, wouldn't even recommend therapy, the tear was so small. My wife had a similar experience, with her back, from one of their bad reports. Please do not use this place.
