Brown's Corners

Their sales are all over the place. Each time I come here there are random sale stickers on items…read moreor sale tags for whole sections but they never really correspond with their online promotions or the ones advertised on their website/Instagram. I wonder how long they spend stickering items and removing them. We recently popped in again for the spring break in store sale where most items, aside from gear and furniture are 20%. However a few of the feeding items were "on sale" so the 20% off did not apply. The tag in that section claimed the sale was only until end of Feb... Anyway if you can handle the discrepancies, they do carry a wide selection of items especially more brands that popular with East Asians such as pigeon and hegen bottles etc. The staff are very hit or miss. Either super friendly and helpful or they kinda talk to other staff and you are slightly ignored. They also tend to give a bit of attitude at the cash as well, although I'm unsure why. Overall, I do prefer other local stores.

Canabee baby is a lot bigger now since it moved to an adjacent building just 30 steps or so away…read morefrom the old one. It doesn't feel as cramped anymore and the space is super open and bright. I still think the prices are a bit high unless something is on sale. They had a lot of the brand name strollers on site (City Select, Britax, Peg Perego Baby, Uppababy, Stokke, etc.), which is wonderful as you get to test them out. They pretty much have nearly everything from bottles, clothes, toys, nursing pillows, baby carriers, high chairs, etc. It was nice to compare the many different products. Came to pick up the Stokke bathtub and attachment. I hated Canabee's online system as it forces you to use Paypal. Maybe other customers don't want to part with their Paypal funds yet? Something to think about. However, it was a good thing I had gone to the store instead as I nearly picked up one that was dirty. The sales associate said it's final sale for the bathtub. Imagine if I had requested the product be sent to me instead? Could have been the dirty one! The bathtub wasn't cheap either but at least it was free of toxic chemicals. In terms of general enquiries over e-mail, it took them around 17 hours to reply back. The sales associate did let me know about the gold member card (if you spend over $500). Not sure if we will spend that much here yet, though it probably won't be hard if you purchased a crib, stroller or something big. Something small they could improve on is having better bags at the store. The white plastic bag was so flimsy & made me think I was at a grocery store.

I've shopped for a convertible car seat (peg), diaper pail (ubbi), some all natural diaper rash…read morecreams and a few miscellaneous items for my little one from this store. It's set up like a big warehouse more than anything and browsing through all the products can be a bit exhausting with a restless baby in tow. It would be helpful to have isle signs (like those in supermarkets) for customers looking to get in, quickly grab something and get out, as most people with babies would like to do. Their prices are comparable to other stores like Baby's R Us, so whenever I can, I opt to support local business like this one instead of a big box retailer. Their staff can sometimes be a little doe-eyed when you ask for help with products they carry which is not the best thing, especially since most new parents have tons of questions about baby products. They also have an online purchasing option which I have tried to use to purchase an outdoor playpen. They did not have the item in stock so when I called the store to see if they can order it for me, I was told that the person in charge of ordering will call me back with information and I never heard back from them. Not good. Their business hours definitely leave something to be desired since they do not open until noon. Yes, granted that I would always choose to support smaller businesses, Babyrama still has some room for improvement.

Is this even a real store or is this just a fraudulent store front set up to take peoples money? I will be reporting this purchase to visa in hopes of getting my money back.
