On Saturday, June 29, Megan of Babes & Brushes came to my apartment in Libertyville to paint 2 kitchen walls. The walls were so stained with years of grease and food splatters - in spite of my efforts to clean them immediately - I dreaded to look at them. Megan took care of it quickly and quietly (I was actually able to work my part-time, work-from-home telemarketing gig while she worked.), and wouldn't let me help her carry anything in, even the ladder. (She did let me hold the door open for her.) Megan even caulked a dreadful-looking crack where the sink cabinet joins the wall. I am very happy with the work these ladies did - they completed my high-walled townhouse in just 3 days and were incredibly friendly, professional and did a great job. I felt totally comfortable with them in my home. I had never had professional painters do a job before, so I wasn't prepared for the cleaning I would need to do afterwards (just dusting and vacuuming), but found them to be very fairly priced based on other quotes I received. They did a great job communicating via yelp and email. Gave us good estimates for each job we wanted done and let us choose what worked best. We had windowsills, baseboards, and door trim painted. It was a hard job since they were a golden oak color and we were going to white. They did a good job priming and painting, but the yellow still showed through some so they took an extra couple days to finish up. Our carpet is really hard to paint on top of and they kept it mostly clean, but a few spots had some paint where they meet the baseboards. They caulked the baseboards and trim, but missed a few areas that I filled in. Some yellow still showed through a bit but it was easy to touch up. Overall they did a great job with how hard our trim was and the color change. They also offered a 10% military discount. We've had some bad experiences in the past with bad painters and Babes N Brushes is by far the best. Definitely will use them in the future. read more

I got a Groupon for 8 hours of painting from Babes N' Brushes - in retrospect after seeing what they did in 8 hours, I should have saved the money and done it myself. I specifically told them I have an 11 foot ceiling and they would need to bring a ladder to reach. They did not and now I have to rent a ladder and do it myself. Don't use them unless you want to spend money and ultimately do it yourself. read more

This is my second time having Babes N Brushes in my home. The first time, I was so impressed by the work and clean up, I decided to use them again. I had 2 ladies painting 2 different areas - stairwell and the master bathroom. I was shocked when they left behind a mess. Not just one area, but both. The master bath had paint splattered on the marble vanity top - I've since had to scrape it to get it clean. In the stairwell, the handrail and all of the finished woodwork had paint splatter. The carpet at the bottom of the stairwell had a nail, metal picture hangars and paint chips / dust from her drop cloth that she used at previous jobs. This time was just sloppy clean up. read more

I did a lot of research in trying to find painters to paint my rental house. I found Babes N Brushes on Yelp and decided that I should contact them. I am so Happy I did! My initial contact with them via email was received and responded to within 24 hours. They sent someone out to see my house and give me an estimate within the next 24 hours. The person that they sent was also very helpful in picking out colors that blended and flowed throughout the home. The estimate was very fair and included materials. They were able to schedule me within the time frame that I needed them and they worked extra long to get the job done. The paint job that these ladies did was beautiful and I was very pleased with all of the results. I had one minor issue and not only was it resolved quickly but Pamela in the office followed up to make sure that everything was taken care of.
