I usually read reviews with a critical eye. Trust but verify. I had my whole house painted, which is 3 floors with ceilings as high as 20 feet on the main floor. I haven't had to do this in a while, so my level of apprehension was high. I'll give you an honest review of Powers Painting, hitting the areas that were important to me. First, the initial consult. It was comprehensive and informative. The estimate was fair and stated the scope of work. They sent material explaining the process. I was called about any additional questions, and I felt comfortable enough to sign the agreement. I was told who would be managing the job and given a start date which worked for me. I was not quite sure about two rooms, and was told I could have an extra day or so to make up my mind on those colors. From the first day on the job, I was impressed with the level of professionalism. Everything was covered and tarps were laid. I was given an overview of the days work. I was concerned about a week of possible mess, but it was unfounded. Each night they removed the tarps in areas like halls and the kitchen, and they vacuumed before leaving. Any garbage was taken with them and foyer floors were wiped down. I was able to live comfortably in my house for the duration. The actual project time was 5 days. Overall, Powers Painters were caring, friendly, professional, fairly priced and did an amazing job. They arrived on time and worked throughout the day, so the job was completed on time. In every room, walls were patched and primed as needed , and the end result was flawless. I have absolutely no concerns about the quality of work performed. Mike always gives thorough estimates. There is great communication throughout the process. We've used Powers Painting for 3 separate jobs at our house and they've done really great work. Our house has needed some love and they take the time to make sure all the prep work of the walls and ceiling are done the right way before even touching it with paint. Inspired by HGTV, my husband and I purchased somewhat of a fixer-upper several years ago. The walls were adorned with shades of purples and pinks - one half bath was even lucky enough to receive purple sponge paint. Vaulted ceilings, small bathrooms - we re-painted them all ourselves...until: Enter - the dreaded master bathroom. Not only was the ceiling vaulted, but it too was painted a shade of pink. For five years we lived with salmon walls and pink ceilings, unable to commit to that large of a job ourselves. Our 2020 resolution was to get this DONE...and that's where Powers Painting came to the rescue. Since we had never hired a painter before, we received several quotes. Powers was competitive, prompt and friendly. Whereas Powers stated they'd be able to complete the job in a day, others stated it'd take 2-3 days. Bonus: our exhaust fan needed to be replaced, and they had someone that could fix that as well! My dad warned me that hiring a painting company would have me nitpicking the end result - and while I tried to, I couldn't find anything to complain about.
