I was only in my early 30s at the time and not some 60 year old complaining about every little thing. I found it really odd Sujanani wanted me to have my back x-rayed. It wasn't cause of the suggestion, but of her reasoning. I can't touch my toes when stretching down. That means I must have a chronic back issue. I've never been able to touch my toes and the x-rays came back perfect. The only thing that worked was me wanting blood work done and the suggestion from that was I needed to focus on certain vitamins. There was never a suggestion about taking certain vitamins at a specific time of day, what to avoid taking with them, and what combination works best. I had to find that out. I always have to do my own research and help myself with this messed up healthcare system in CA. It doesn't matter if I'm on Medi-Cal like in the past, or paying a fortune out of pocket. Doctors don't care and you're on your own. 9 times out of 10 I have had to help myself over the years. If my dad hadn't moved out of state when he got sick, I know he wouldn't be with us anymore. Billing dept mgr and scribe says my spouse has low back pain. He takes an occasional Advil after riding over 40 miles on his bicycle and up in the mountains at 76 yr old. Dr Williams asked me if I took calcium/D3. I have NEVER been D3 deficient and started taking calcium with D3 in it in when 50 years old as Dexa scan said a bit of osteopenia which has changed little in 25 years. We simply answered Dr Williams questions and I asked her to check my husband's hearing. The scribe and Billing Mgr will write in anything they can (true or not) to charge you extra! It was all routine exam, eyes, ear, throat heart, lung, and breast exam for me. No internal exams. We will be changing doctors asap and refuse to pay extra fees for routine exams and to answer questions. We are healthy, exercise, eat right, and NOT overweight. We reported them to Aetna FRAUD dept! I notified Dr Williams. She will be retiring in 2 years she told me. AVOID THIS GROUP with offices located in Ventura and Oxnard. This is the first time they started UPCHARGING despite going there for several years for our physicals/wellness visit!
