I was visiting a friend and came here twice for both food and drinks. On my initial visit I took advantage of one of the lunch specials (chicken, quinoa and beets) and Egyptian soup. Both were warm and satisfying. On my second visit I came back for the same soup, although it tasted slightly different. Not bad different, just obvious that the food may not be very consistent. The only real critique would be the length of time it took to receive my food (a bit longer than usual for soup that should be already made). I fully enjoyed this place and would visit again. We were enjoying all these wonders when we found ourselves facing a row of Indian restaurants and suddenly quite hungry. The Indian food in London is often wonderful, as you might imagine. This was no exception. We had a romantic table for two, with candle light and a white table cloth and attentive, discreet service. I asked for my food super-extra--extra spicy and they obliged. The price was reasonable, especially for London, and it was some of the best Indian food I've ever had. When we (someday, I hope!) return to London we will seek this out.

Like I said, I had the steak (it was good) and it came with peas and carrots (two of my most-hated veggies) and I actually enjoyed the veggies. The salad left something to be desired. Their service is prompt and they refill my water right when I finish my glass (this is important to me). I will come back to this place and try their Pasta Carbonara because the table next to me ordered it and it looked/smelled delicious.

La Cabana is one of my favcourite restaurants in the area and eating here is a totally memorable experience. Every time I go to La Cabana I'm always feel like I've travelled to some exotic place like Marrakesh. The lanterns, tent, cushions helps to give La Cabana a really authentic feel. The food is really good too and not expensive which is always a bonus for me! I love rice dishes so this place is perfect for me because most dishes are serviced with rice. The mixed grill is a really good value for money at £12.95 and the lamb tagine is delicious. La Cabana is a great restaurant with excellent food, brillant service and a lively atmosphere! We were served a superb lamb and carrot tagine (stew), with lamb shank so tender it was almost dissolving on the plate, and a chicken couscous that was superb. Mohammed, the owners was extremely kind, patient and informative. His sincerity and genuine enthusiasm for his food, his country and its history and culture were infectious.
