Thai food in North Dakota is hard to come by so when we saw this place we had to stop for dinner. Kind of a weird spot, being in a store and all, but the food is wonderful. The booths are awkward because the tables are too long for the sitting space. A lady at another table actually fell on the floor getting out because she didn't realize the length of the booth versus the table were different. Green Curry. A little too soupy, but it was just what I needed. I had lots of leftovers.

A long-standing Minot fixture; restaurant cum Thai grocery store. Serves good food at relatively reasonable prices. Service is unassuming and good...clean dining area and service items. Watch out for spice levels, however; "spicy" can blow your lid off. A welcome respite from traditional fare in the area. Support a local family business!

Wow, is the word. You can't go wrong. Did you know it had a market too? That's really awesome. Service has always been so friendly, sweet and helpful. It isn't as large as the one is Bismark as for markets, but who cares the food is super awesome. Sitting down or dine out, romantic as can be for the view, have all been great in alk seasons. Especially some of the regional dulishes offered, things never heard of, Kua Gink is dang good, add heat then breathe fire. In the Minot area, this place could be #1, but it's now my number new number 1, a very strong #1 above all the other asian places especially Thai, nothing to shy away from. Could easily be number 1 in the whole region, actually my top two distance themselves from others. Baan Rao gives you calm and flavors with old world tastes, not too sweet but the sour is there, tamerine mmm along with items that will surprise you. Always a great place for lunch and dinner plus the market. You know it's a hot awesome place, fire department is next door. Mmmm yummm

I've been coming here since they first opened and the food has never disappointed!! Order the yellow curry with chicken, medium spicy and big did it wake those taste buds up! It was delicious as usual but then again I've never had a dish I didn't love from here!

Every month we have an International Foodies dinner. We each try a new recipe and get together to sample our creations. My recipe for the month called for sticky rice. This SHOULD be an easy ingredient to find. Alas, it was not. I went to 3 grocery stores before checking to see if the market was open after 8pm. Thankfully, it was! I was able to stop in and grab 5lbs of rice and a few things I didn't need, but couldn't pass up, as long as I was there. Staff are always friendly and never intrusive. They are happy to answer questions if you ask, but won't bother you while you browse. They have a large variety of fresh, frozen & non-perishable products to fit your needs. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed!

Came here to eat Thai food. Order some Pad Thai noodles with shrimp. Only myself and one other customer. Had good reviews OSS why I went. Very clean and organized. Lot of Thai stuff in store next to restaurant. One wait staff member. The food was great. Plenty of spice. Flavor was excellent. Plenty of shrimp in dish. It odd easy in and easy out. I will go back.

    Dinner time!

This place is hidden from its last location in Minot. It is highway side down from the fire hall and it is a hidden delight. Tons of selection from curry to hotpot to traditional Thai food. There is also a grocery store inside to get any Asian fix you need from chips to drinks or even whole fish! I tried the green curry with medium spice which was good I just wish it had more veggies! The sauce was nice and tasty and rice was delicious coconut rice. Prices are reasonable and they also have lunch deals for smaller portions which is good. Check it out if you have a craving for sit down Thai in Minot!

Ordered in. Very fast service. Yellow curry could have used a bit more flavor. Deep fried spring rolls were good.

THEY AUTOMATICALLY ADD 15% TIP TO YOUR TAB IF YOU HAVE A PARTY OF 6 OR MORE…read more 11/6/25. Food was alright compared to real Asian restaurants. Service was terrible. I had to send my water glass back because the outside was smudged with stuck food. I checked my girlfriend's glass and it was smudged too and said she didn't do that. She said damn so my glass is contaminated and she didn't drink from it from them on. As we got our tabs, someone from the group noticed the gratuity charge so I asked about it. I spoke to the manager stating that we hadn't paid yet and didn't add that. He said it's automatic. I told him we only chose 5 items on the menu, gratuity wasn't on the menu, we didn't choose that. He said for a party of 6 or more it's automatic because some parties leave without tipping the server. I said we had separate tabs, 3 different total, our tab was three people. And he said it doesn't matter you were at the same table. I said we don't want to tip, we weren't going to tip anyway. My water glass was dirty and I had to send it back and the server will tell you that. Someone from our table wanted to order a soup and I gave them mine because the server never showed back up. Our food came out when a few people were halfway done and the restaurant was DEAD. He says but servers only make $10 an hour and it's not fair. I agree it's low but the tip is my choice take it off... he kept saying "but how much are you going to tip the server". I told him I've never seen that charge in any restaurant. He says "every restaurant does it, even Longhorns (as if it makes it any better)" and "we been doing this a long time". He wouldn't agree to take it off and time was dragging on so we left. Ending thoughts: it's like adding a portion of the electricity bill and saying "but we have to keep the restaurant running". Their wage has nothing to do with our tip. You shouldn't push a tip on us without our consent. No hospitality. They had a salad bar and someone mentioned it was all you can eat. That's something he could've said "btw we have a salad bar please help yourselves". He didn't even ask how our food was! He took the order, dropped food off then dropped off tab. Gratuity is for the service the server gives. It's voluntary. It's not a decision for the restaurant to make for you. They should pay them more if that's the case and TRAIN THEM BETTER. I even stacked our plates neatly when we were done as I was a server before. They assume every big party is messy and will tax you for it with 15% tip. Also, nice fake 5 star reviews
