So when we needed new roofing, siding, gutters, gutter covers, facia and soffits I obtained several quotes. Erik didn't hesitate to come out to Farmington and quote the project. We had some "slick" salespeople and we had a guy that wouldn't give me a quote (he really didn't like women was my opinion) and would only deal with the insurance company. Erik was professional, honest and not "slick." The price was fair. My test is always the "warm and fuzzies." After a few meetings with Erik, he had my business. Then came the problems. Every color combo for all of the above items had items out of stock, discontinued or something. Erik made a lot of phone calls and several vendor trips. I have no idea how many combos we went through - probably 15 or so. Finally we found a combo that could be put together. YEAH!!!! Erik was patient through all of the "I hate neutrals" moments and several trips of holding colors against the house in different light. Roof install went well and then we had to wait 2 weeks for the siding. The siding installation was completed and they came back and fixed a couple of small items and we were done before Thanksgiving. Erik was around almost daily and even picked up extra FOD on his own. They installed our new lights and Ring cams too. Erik was easily reachable and kept on top of the project and kept me up to date. Very impressed. They were within $7 of the original quote (I think permit fees changed). Very happy and thankful that I selected Erik and Roofs R Us.

My biggest compliment is in the clean up. I have dealt with similar situations in the past and these guys are by far the best at making sure they don't leave anything behind. After the regular crew cleans up and they did outstanding. A second couple comes through with a fine tooth comb and goes through the grass, sidewalks, street and driveway to ensure there is not any trace of their presence left. We had a leak and they moved their schedule around to accommodate our project. It was amazing how efficient and professional the crew was. Eric was onsite the majority of the day and the final checklist and sign off of everything was very assuring. The new gutters were installed within a week of the roof being completed. What was very impressive to me was that the sales rep for Zups took the time to stop by after and ask if we had any questions or see if there was anything they could have done better. I will be calling back for new windows next summer!! Thanks Zups! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Zups was more personable than the other bids we got also. They laid out in full detail what happens when they redo the roof and have a contract that laid out all the pricing for what they would do. I had a real piece of mind. One last thing, there were a few issues with my previous roof and I was having leaks and had some rotted trim boards. Eric and the crew took care of all those issues and I haven't had any leaks since. Thanks Zups

I was not looking for a large company since I've heard horror stories on a few of those companies that are only focused on growth. I was looking for a small to mid sized company that had an owner that was actively involved, and had a small crew and knew what they were doing. I am VERY HAPPY I found Tonka Roofing since they exceeded every expectation I had and did a great job! Tonka Roofing was easy to work with, answered my questions, dealt with my insurance company, and was able to start on time and finish on time and did great job cleaning up after. I am very happy with the work they did and would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them.

Our roof was done sloppily with collateral damage to the dormers that caused a leak. They claim that there is nothing wrong with the roof itself and therefore they do not have responsibility for the leak, and because the leak only occurs with heavy storms with wind, the leak cannot be caused by the roof. However, this leak did not exist prior to their work on the roof. Basically stay away, they are not to be trusted to stand by their work.

Gold Star Contracting replaced the roof on our home and they did an outstanding job from beginning…read moreto end. I was getting several estimates and wasn't able to meet Jake for our initial consult because of traffic, so he did the consult by phone. He even jumped onto the roof and placed temporary patches up so we wouldn't get any more damage if it rained. This was before we had even hired him. After reviewing the packet he left and speaking to Jake on the phone it was a no brainer to choose Gold Star. Our insurance put up many barriers to discourage our claim for weather damage, and Jake carefully explained the process of submitting (and re-submitting) our claim, what questions to ask, and how to follow-up to get the settlement we were entitled to. It took some time, but the insurance eventually paid for replacing the roof. As soon as it was approved, Gold Star ordered the shingles and had it installed within about 10 days. The Gold Star crew arrived at the crack of dawn, worked all day in the hot sun, and did a beautiful job. The crew was incredibly professional and considerate. They did an amazing job of cleaning up before they left, and I never found a single nail or piece of debris in the yard. I was really worried about this because we have kids and pets that could get hurt stepping on nails. I appreciate their attention to detail and the care they took in protecting my home during the construction process. My new roof looks fantastic, and I have received numerous compliments from my neighbors on the craftsmanship. I highly recommend Gold Star Construction to anyone in need of roofing services. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction are truly unmatched. Don't hesitate to give them a call for all your exterior home construction and roofing needs.
