Went there this morning and it seems a very busy place. Ordered XL pho tai (pho with rare beef cooked into medium) and spring rolls.
I have a mixed opinion with this restaurant because of my hubby *lol*.
For 13 aud XL serving of pho, I think it's a very good deal. Me and hubby shared with this one bowl and it pretty much satisfied our belly. They're very generous with the ingredients too--- plenty of meat and a separate big serving of vegetables (coriander, bean sprouts and lemon) --- it nearly crowded the bowl when we mixed it with the pho (lol)
Taste wise, I like it. I'm just not too fond with the rare beef coz i dont really like raw meat except for seafood .(I was looking for a pho option with a fully cooked beef but there seems none). Anyway, despite the gross looking pink meat, i still tried it and it doesnt taste raw at all so it turned out ok (But i would still prefer a cooked one, thank you). The spring roll is super delicious but I think it's quite expensive ( 3 medium pcs. For 8 aud).
Now my hubby doesn't seem very impressed with the pho. He said it wasn't served hot but warm (I agree but I didnt notice immediately coz I am fine with warm meal). He has no problem with the rare beef but I think he has an issue with it being served warm.
He finds the pho bland (For me, the taste is just alright maybe because I have a naturally bland taste. My hubby on the other hand is more into salty and spicy stuff. Hence the difference in opinion).
But we both agreed that the spring roll is splendid. Seriously I would want to eat more if not for the price.
Customer service is ok. They're not the typical cheery people that we like to expect but I'm happy enough that they're alert with their customers. read more
