I visited urgent care due to a severe cough. The visit lasted approximately ten minutes. The claim was submitted to BCBS and was processed as out-of-network, resulting in a bill of $458.56. Under my insurance plan, my urgent care copay should be $75. The facility is affiliated with Bozeman Health, which is in-network for my coverage. There was no indication at the time of service that this would be treated as out-of-network. As a result, I am now spending significant time and effort trying to correct what appears to be a billing or administrative error that should have been addressed before the claim was submitted. When I called to resolve the issue, the interaction was unhelpful and unfriendly, which only added to the frustration. Patients should not have to navigate billing confusion or feel dismissed when seeking clarification about substantial charges. I strongly encourage the facility to review both its insurance processing procedures and its customer service practices. Accurate billing and professional communication are essential components of patient care. read more

Are you kidding me? My college student son went to the here this morning. The razor blade throat Covid strand going around now. He has a horrible sore throat and feels awful. They did not test him for Covid. They did not test him for strep throat. They did not test him for anything. However, they prescribed amoxicillin and a cough medicine. My son is on his way to Safeway to buy a Covid test, which is covered under his Blue Shield PPO at Urgent Care. I guess they don't care if he's contagious and brings it to school or work with him. read more

Before being treated, I was quoted $80 or less for an ear cleaning and brief procedure. Despite having insurance, and less than 15 minutes of being there, I ended up with a $500 bill in the mail. The exam room also appeared very poorly maintained, like to the point where I did not want to sit down, which was disappointing for an urgent-care clinic. I hope they improve their pricing transparency and cleanliness; in its current state, I can't recommend this location whatsoever. read more

I got billed $642!!!! For strep test visit. I have been taking my kids and going to urgent care's for many many years now and I've never had a price so extreme. I will never go back there. That's a glorified ER price. In the past urgent care visits have cost similar to seeing my primary care provider, less than half that price, who I didn't see for the sake of saving time and getting in on a moments notice. Unless you know your insurance will cover it, I would highly recommend going somewhere else. Shame on me for not asking for amount before hand (though I offered to pay when I was there, not knowing the price ). And, I was also told I wouldn't have been given an estimate beforehand anyways. I took my husband after three to six weeks of health symptoms and his PCP blaming his allergies. Hannah was fantastic. So thorough- we felt very cared for. I can't rate less than 1 star, so 1 it is. I had a work related fall where I was very sure I broke something along my spine. B2 took two x-rays, front and side and said I was only sore and everything is fine. I later got rear ended and went to an alternate urgent care and though everything was fine they asked when I fractured my spine. I told them, they pulled up b2 healths x-rays and said the one on file, (other was missing), was too blurry to adequately ascertain anything and that an oblique scan was the only way to see such a fracture. read more

While on vacation I got an obvious case of strep throat and needed a prescription. I checked in fairly quickly, but they did not accept my out of state insurance, so I had to be billed directly. I had 102 temp and just wanted a prescription, so I figured, how much could it be...I'll just file a reimbursement request with my insurance and be done with it. They sent me to a separate viral waiting room, which only had 1 person so I thought it would go quickly...which it did not. Several people came in after me and were seen before me (only 1 of which was for the separate Covid test service). About an hour of waiting... The good: Saw the nurse tech, then the Doc. They are the only reason this place gets 2 stars!! They actually listened and responded with compassionate care. Within 45 minutes or so (almost 2 hours total) I was on my way with a prescription. I got an invoice (from a Montana address) from them a couple weeks later for a little over $100. Paid it immediately by check. I thought that seemed fair enough. The bad: Then another couple weeks later I get another invoice for $256 (from a Colorado address). This invoice included the "balance forward charge" of $100 from the previous invoice. So, now I have the same charge showing up on two separate invoices (from 2 separate states), I'm being invoiced twice for a single visit, and it's going to cost me $256 just to get a prescription. And I still had to pay for the pills! I called to speak with them about it and the "Customer Service" people are unconscionably rude. If I ever get stuck in this situation again, I will NOT go back to b2 Urgent Care (Bozeman Health). Long story short, don't go here. There has to be a better option in the area. read more

I've gone to this urgent care many times, normally they're very friendly and will take the time to understand what's wrong and help me. Today I went in because I've been feeling congested and am to the point of passing out every time i stand up for the past week. I got checked in and waited for 45 minutes while there was no body else in the waiting room, I finally got sent back and told the nurse everything that was wrong. They gave me a Covid test and then sent me on my way, didn't ask any questions or check my ears or throat or anything. Would not recommend going here anymore read more

I have been there twice. First time was a 90 minute wait just to see a nurse then it felt like the doctor brushed me off. Second time was just for a tetanus shot booster, they lost my paperwork so I ended up waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes before being seen. Having to spend 3 hours just for a tetanus shot is ridiculous. Staff is very friendly and the nurses are awesome, but it is not enough to outweigh the lack of organization and long wait time. Even if they hadn't lost my paperwork it still would have been almost a two hour wait, and they are walk-ins only. read more

This is s medical facility which discriminates against people with a medical condition. My lungs are damaged, so I cannot where a mask. And even though everyone in there was wearing a mask (does their mask protect them or not?), they would not give me a covid test. I have been exposed, am symptomatic, have multiple risk factors (compromised lungs, diabetes, older, and a compromised immune system), but that didn't seem to matter to them. Looks like they don't trust their masks after all. Never will I go there again - for anything. read more

An absolute joke. My partner went in with an 8"x8" blood red bullseye on his back, spine in so much pain he could barely move. Symptoms of Lyme. No blood test taken. Barely looked at. Doctor on call spent about 2 minutes observing and put him on very short regime of antibiotic. He decided to get his blood drawn anyway at the blood work clinic in town himself, and took 2 weeks to get the results. Well, he has Lyme. Worst urgent care in town. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I came in here with the worst sore throat I have ever had, looking to be tested for strep. I had already not been able to speak in 3/4 days and the pain had been growing worse every day. I originally thought I just had a cold, as all my colds begin with a sore throat for a day or two. By day 3/4 I was skeptical. On the 4th day, I woke to even-worse-than-strep pain, intense congestion, full body aches, and strong pressure in my ears. I decided to go to urgent care since the university health center closes on weekends. Big mistake coming here. I told the doctor of my symptoms, asked for a strep test, and explicitly stated I thought I may have a sinus infection or ear infection. He checked my ears for 1 second and condescendingly says "they're absolutely fine". Strep comes back negative and he says "you likely just have a cold, which is viral, so you have to wait it out", and sends me on my way. So I went along treating myself as if I had a cold for the next day or two, only to then wake up with EXCRUCIATING PAIN in my head. Can't even look down or my head would fill with pressure. My right ear drum popped from the pressure and began oozing pus. I go to university health to see what the deal is: a severe middle ear infection and sinus that could have made me go deaf or blind. I also had tonsillitis. The doctors here take no pain seriously and want you in/out as fast as possible. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH. read more

Every time I've had to come here, no matter the time of day or amount of people in the waiting room, I wait an hour and a half or more. What are they doing back there?! It's ridiculous. Also, the staff is super condescending. Once you're in you can tell they just wanna hurry up and get you out; they don't check all your symptoms, they don't take pain seriously, and it's obvious they are totally guessing what's wrong with you without even listening to everything you're saying and just send you home with medicine you're not even confident will help you. The equipment they used on my to take my blood pressure was also kinda terrifying. It squeezed my arm so hard my fingers went numb right away and soon my bicep did too. My entire arm felt weird for quite a while afterwards, and the nurse didn't even tell me what my blood pressure even was. I've given this place like four chances and i dont know why. I came in here on Saturday with strep throat and a fever of 104. I got there shortly after they opened and only had to wait about 30 minutes or so before I was seen. The staff and doctors were VERY nice and accommodating. I was reallllllllllllllly not feeling well and I was pretty much crying the whole time and they all tried to cheer me up. On vacation and My son had something that made his eye swell so needed antibiotic eye drops super short visit but cost me $186 because we are from out of town and he had never been seen there before so charged as a new patient.So if your from out of town be prepared to get a hefty bill even if you just need a prescription for something.Service was fine but they should have a different billing for people that live in a different part of the state and would not have gone there in less they felt they needed it.I might even have made my son tough it out tell we got home if I realized it was going to be so much more for being out of town.I was told basic visit $150 but not the case if you have never been there before.So keep that in mind when choosing to go. read more

This review is for the NEW BOZEMAN HEALTH Walk-in Clinic in Belgrade. I was having some health concerns after Christmas and they seemed to be getting worse so I dropped in on one of my days off to get looked at. I had a couple of friends recommend me trying this new location, they said it was very clean and the staff was very friendly, so I decided to try it. The day I decided to try out the new clinic I called into the office 1st to make sure it was truly a walk-in clinic and the girl that answered the phone told me it was and I was welcome to just drop by. The office girl when I arrived was very nice and everything was very clean. I only waited about 2 min before being called back by the nurse. The nurse was not super friendly and proceeded to tell me that I was most likely not allergic to 2 of the medications that I have been allergic to since a child. I just shrugged it off and waited for the doctor. The women doctor arrived shortly after the nurse left. She was very nice, however she seemed to be sick or have a cold, but I wasn't too concerned at the time. She seemed to be very attentive and proceeded with the exam. Ultimately I received a basic physical and then a urinalysis. The doctor ordered another test and needed to see what it came back as before making a decision on what might be wrong, so I packed up and left. A few days later I received a call from a nurse who laughed and told me that they did not run my last test because it was not needed based on my symptoms and that I would not be charged for the bill. I did not request the test, and I was sure to described all of my symptoms to the doctor so I was pretty upset at this point because I did not understand why I would be issued a test I didn't need. She also said that all of my issues were nothing more than my diet and that I shouldn't come back, if I had questions or concerns that I needed to see my primary care doctor. Then about a week later I received a bill in the mail for my doctor's visit. I was very shocked at the number so I called in to talk to the accounting department at Bozeman Health. I asked for an itemized bill to make sure they were not charging me for the test that was not run. I was AGAIN laughed at and the girl said I didn't need an itemized bill because the number listed was just for the office visit, the tests would come in a separate bill. I then asked to talk to a manager and she asked what the issue was and I told her that their "office" visit bill is 3X that of Zip Clinic and outrageous since I received a mere physical examine and there was no conclusive diagnostic. The total office bill for Bozeman Health Urgent Care is $272.00 (without the test fees which I was told will be an additional $100)!!! I only have major medical insurance, so I had opted to pay out of pocket, however none of the fees were ever discussed - I will be sure to ask next time. I also told her that I never received a true diagnostic and that the nurse had laughed at me and was quite rude. The girl told me that I shouldn't have come to their clinic and I explained that I had called ahead and was told that they were a standard walk-in clinic and that I thought walk-in clinics were for those who did not have a primary care doctor and for urgent needs. She then told me that their clinic was for emergencies only and suggested that I set up an account with a website called "MY CHART" to access all of my records and the bill. I asked again to talk to a manager to make a formal complaint and she just kept trying to smooth things over. By the time the phone call ended I was very upset that instead of letting me talk to somebody they wanted me to just look up everything on line. I tried the My Chart and was unable to access my records, so I still do not know my diagnosis and am I expected to WebMD a solution to my problem? NO I requested a service and payed through the nose for nothing! I also feel like I was issued a test that the doctor knew I didn't need - just for money (luckily the nurse caught it). I do not feel like they listened to me at all! So I am left with my issues with NO resolution. I ended up paying the part of the bill that I have received so far, accepting it as a BAD experience and VERY expensive mistake and I have tried to forget about it. The accounting girl did offer for me to set up for payment assistance, which involved a lot of paperwork -ALL I really want is to be charged FAIRLY for the services I received. If I had been offered $400 service I would be happy to pay that amount. I feel like I was taken advantage of and do not want anyone else to make the same mistake. I ended up with the cold flu a couple of days later - probably from the doctor who was sick that examined me and I have had the cold portion of if for over 3 weeks, I have also not heard back on any of my issues. While I've been treated at Bozeman Health Urgent Care in the past and have found the doctors and PA's very helpful, I find Dr. Halvorson to be a joke of a doctor. He provided no helpful (or any) answers to an issue with back pain. He spent the majority of a very short interaction explaining what the pain wasn't. He gave us no answer or potential explanation of what it could be. After expressing sciatic pain and having the nurse state "it seems like an issue with the sciatic nerve", his release notes stated "lower back pain without sciatica," only prescribing Alleve and Physical Therapy. Completely inattentive, unhelpful, and unprofessional. If you visit Bozeman Health Urgent Care, ask to see someone other than Dr. Halvorson. read more

I hate being sick, it's even worse when traveling. Bozeman Urgent Care Center was the answer to my misery. I called first and they told me how long the wait was and what I could expect when I arrived. The intake receptionist was so nice and welcoming, even as I violently coughed all over her. She handed me a mask with great diplomacy. She took my out of state insurance and I was to be seen in 10 minutes or less. Bingo! 10 minute and I was in a comfortable room with a nurse taking my vitals and lamenting with me that coughing sucks. The doctor, a female with a difficult name for me to remember was terrific. I had my laptop with my medial history and medicine (thanks to these health portals) . She was very throughout. I had 2 prescriptions emailed to the pharmacy, over the counter suggestions and a phone to call if I wasn't feeling better all in 15 minutes. 3 days later, I am still coughing but I am improving and for sure cough this won't turn into something worse. I felt respected and was well informed when I left the Center. Oh yeah, the Center is affiliated with the local hospital. If I needed more care or a referral they have the capability to respond "urgently". read more

When we asked the receptionist--barely out of teens--why people who were checked in after us were being seen before us, she patronizingly tried to claim they came in before us. I told her that simply didn't make sense as they even had to take wait-numbers after we checked in and were seated in the waiting room...and she was there watching the whole thing. It's tough enough being ill, but then to have a rude, childish post-teen receptionist snark in response to her own error makes this place a poor place to visit. The good: I a had nasty (and obvious) case of strep throat and was able to get in on a Saturday in less than 30 minutes and leave with an antibiotics prescription that helped me get better quickly. The bad: I told the doctor that I have had strep throat a lot (15 times over the years?), but that it's never the kind of strep that comes back positive with the rapid culture. He agreed that I obviously needed antibiotics and sent me home with a prescription. He also did the full strep test, which I didn't even hear results back on until I was done with the antibiotics. The cost for the lab work was $150, on top of the $60 I paid for the urgent care visit. (This was with good insurance-- please be aware that most insurances bill differently for urgent care than they do for a normal primary care provider-- I asked the woman at the front desk this and she told me I'd be billed for a normal office visit, which would have been $25 instead of $60. Incorrect, and I'd guess that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana is not an uncommon carrier.) My strong feeling is that the $150 extra for the lab result was not necessary, given that the doctor was comfortable prescribing antibiotics without the results, which did not even arrive for close to a week. He may not have been aware of how much extra this would cost me, but I will definitely ask more questions next time. read more

I fell on my back on some black ice in Yellowstone and called Family Doctors' Urgent Care while in route to Bozeman at least 45 minutes before I got there. I explained to the receptionist that I was having very severe breathing problems and all she did is give me their closing time. When I arrived, I told her again what had happened and the difficulty I was having breathing. Several patients were taken back while I waited including two or three that came in after I did. After more than 45 minutes, they finally brought me back, took X-rays, and discovered that I had a pneumothorax, punctured and collapsed lung. Once I arrived at the hospital my doctor told me that I was VERY lucky to be alive! I sent the doctor a suggestion from my best friend in NC who is a family doctor. At his practice, if anyone has breathing issues or signs of a heart attack, then they must push a button that rings four tones and everyone there is responsible for making sure that patient is cared for! Family Doctors' Urgent Care did not even give me the courtesy of response.. read more

I chose this place to go to because they had very good reviews. The first time I went, they gave me antibiotics which then gave me a yeast infection and refused to help with my yeast infection because that is "common" for antibiotics. The second time I went for throat problems. They gave me an antibiotic and did a culture. They called me back and said the culture was negative and to stop taking antibiotics. The situation got worse and worse. I was in the waiting room crying it was so bad. I saw Dr. Halverson for the second time and I met all the conditions for sepsis. They should've admitted me to the hospital and put me on antibiotics and IVs for fluids. THEY SENT ME HOME. My temperature was over 103 and had a heart rate in the 200s. Then, I received a bill which I asked to be forwarded to my mom. Let's just say the conversation ended with me in tears. They are so unbelievably rude. I hate this place so much that I had to write a Yelp review and this is my very first, so that's saying something. Please save yourself and go see Katy at Bozeman Creek Family Health. read more

Went there for a W.C. claim/injury. Initially I got a great doctor, he is the orthopedist at the facility. However, I was told to come back in 10 days and when I did there was a different provider. Saw him with no problems, but when I was told to come back for my 3rd follow-up, to determine if I should have physical therapy, the doctor was so rude and obnoxious. He shook my hand and then his attitude flipped like a switch and he continued to chastise me about seeing different providers at UC. The thing is they scheduled the appts. for me to come back. The nice doctor then proceeded to tell me, and I quote,"Just so you know you won't be receiving any pain killers." What the h**l?!?! I told him I was just there for a follow up and a prescription for physical therapy, that's all! He then continued to be rude and basically blame me for my herniated disk as if I willed it to happen. It was so unprofessional I was mortified for him. The Dr.'s name is "Wise". Remember that and be weary if you go to urgent care. The rest of the staff is fantastic except for he and his nurse. This man is just miserable and when I told the original physician what had happened on my 4th visit, he told me that he's just grumpy. Grumpy is the understatement of all time. This man is mean. I don't know if he resented the fact that I have some tattoos or just didn't like the way I look, but something made him angry and I think both sides of his bed are wrong. If you go for a worker's comp injury make sure you see the same Dr. or P.A. each time. They schedule you on days when your original provider doesn't work. And then if you get the good Dr. Wise he will chastise you like a child and make sure you know, through humiliation, that you are only to see the same doctor, yet that was my 3rd visit and the 1st time anyone explained that to me. The scheduling, openings for your DR., and the flat-out unprofessional practice of medicine displayed by Dr. Wise leave this place behind the E.R.. At least the emergency room doesn't make you lose self-esteem after a visit. read more

My daughter went to this care center being a student at the university. I am a nurse and she had called me about being sick. I told her to go get looked at because she seemed to have symptoms if the flu..First of all she told them her symptoms of fever, headache, sore throat, body aches, congestion, ears hurting, and a cough. They brought her in only took a blood pressure, looked in 1 ear, said that none of her symptoms were flu symptoms, looked at her throat said it was really red so they did do a strep throat test they did not do a flu swab and this is right in the middle of the flu season. Now she is still sick 2 weeks later and has a secondary infection that the other doctor I took her to says she probably did have the flu and it was not treated. Then my oldest daughter is also going to college in Bozeman she lives in Whitehall. She had a bad experience as well in early December. She went there to have her eyes looked at because she thought she might have pink eye. Her daughter had just been diagnosed with it 2 days before she told the doctor this and told her her symptoms first of all they didn't even take vitals, and then the doctor told her that she didn't have pink eye as she sat across from her and didn't even look in her eyes. Doctor gave her some eye drops for allergies and she took them as her eyes became worse and even more painful. She also had to go to another office to actually get treated. I wouldnt send my dog here! Being a nurse working in a hospital for 11 years I can tell you they are not treating people the way they should. They really should be turned into the state. This place is terrible wouldn't recommend it. read more
