The rooms were very nice although the AC only runs with the window closed, and with 9 people in a room, the window somehow ended up open every day and night we were there. The downstairs common area does become like a club at night, which is pretty loud & each person staying needs to show a key to get back in (not just one key for the group). Would definitely stay here again.

We had a private double with en-suite and had no complaints. The man on reception was friendly and provided us with a map and marked some of the places of interest on here. Rooms were clean and we had a pretty good view. Bathroom was fairly small, but again clean. Don't recall this hostel serving breakfast although there are so many cafes in Venice you will probably want to get out there and try a few out! Would recommend if you are after a brilliant location and are not fussed about 5* rooms. Booked through hostelbookers online and had no problems.

We needed a place to stay the night before we planned to see Venice. On a last-minute reservation, the Albergo Campana welcomed us with open arms. It was very late Saturday night when we checked in, but the owner graciously accepted us and provided us with a nice room to sleep in. The next day, he walked us through how to get ticket for the bus in order to get to Venice. Plus, he provided us with parking tips so we park our car close to the hotel and NOT get towed. After Venice, we departed the hotel. We had to return because we needed Wi-Fi to know where we were going next. Even though our time had ended, the owner let us in (on a Sunday, which is a big deal in Italy) and we were able to use the Wi-Fi for however long we needed. This saving grace allowed my two friends and me to plan where we were going next and how to get there. If you plan on visiting Venice, you must stay in this hotel. It is cheap, free breakfast, good Wi-Fi, close to Venice, and located in such an authentic Italian town called Dolo. My friends and I were blessed to have been there during a huge art/music festival. This may have been my favorite part of my European trip. - Matt Ruland, stayed on July 9th 2016
