A belated review for my favorite Philly brewery that's off the beaten path!…read more Unless you live in the area, plan on meeting friends during one of their many events, or need to chill with some good brews after a successful Wissahickon hike, then this brewery is one that you're likely not going to visit due to it not being near much else. And honestly that's the only thing that keeps Wissahickon Brewing from being a perfect five (and is also why I need to check out their newly opened Fishtown branch). But once you arrive you're transported to a good sized indoor/outdoor brewery space that uses all of the space that it has to perfection. Definitely check out their calendar to scope out the vast amount of food trucks that they play host to throughout the month. but other events might include an open mic night, yoga, or bands playing during vendor markets. For beers I love that they don't rely to heavily on IPAs while offering s good amount of brews that play to the seasons. Favorites of mine include the Sunnyside Mexican lager, the Devil's Pool Double IPA, the Wigwam Hazy IPA, and the their various Frux fruited beers.

We decided on it because of, aside from the great food, a private parking lot and outdoor seating. We went on a Saturday evening. The weather was beautiful out (not hot for a summer night-thank goodness!) so we wanted to sit outside. We were seated and decided on starting with the caprese salad and we each ordered a bourbon espresso martini. The drinks were wonderful! The salad was so good and so fresh! A perfect summer appetizer! I ordered the pepperoni pizza and my friend ordered a pasta dish. They make their pasta and you can alway tell when a restaurant does because it's so delicate and delicious! The server who brought out our food told us about the hot honey they had that goes so well with the pepperoni pizza so he brought us each out some to try. I've had it before other places but his kindness and excitement at wanting us to try it was so kind. And it was great with the pizza! A solid restaurant with wonderful food that I will continue to visit!

We were able to be seated right away, but why have reservations online if they don't work? We were seated outside , and it was lovely. It wasn't loud, and It was a great atmosphere. The waiter came over and took our drink order. We got our drinks right away. We also ordered bread with oil and butter. My friend ordered a pizza and told the waiter, no pepper on the pizza. I ordered a pasta dish. Another person came out with my friend's pizza, but we hadn't even gotten our bread and butter yet!! The pizza had pepper on it. Besides the fact that they served the pizza with the pepper that she didn't want , there were two things wrong with this. 1. You serve the bread and butter first. 2.You bring both meals out at the same time; you don't serve somebody's meal first. We finally got our bread and butter. However,I had to wait so long for my meal that we had to wave the waiter over and tell him I didn't get my mail yet. (meanwhile my friend is eating her pizza. ) He says this is a free-flowing kitchen, and my meal will be out soon. My meal comes out as we were speaking to the waiter. The food was very tasty. The drinks were excellent! The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was nice. The service could've been better.

Disclaimer!! Watch your credit cards and get a receipt. My friend's card was overcharged by $100. I'm going to hope and pray it was an honest mistake because Maddie was super friendly. The only saving grace is that we still had our receipt, and were able to dispute it with our bank.

The beer is mega-cheap, the vibe is ultra casual - and they have Quizzo where people don't cheat! (Imagine that!). Let's say you have to know the right nights - the "quiet" nights - and it seriously feels like a house party. You can watch the TV or listen to the music of your choosing, play some free darts, and use the nearly spotless restrooms at your leisure. I wouldn't go here for a big "night on the town" type of event, but on a SMTW night, no doubt!

Please see the picture. That's just criminal. Also, the bbq with mint did not belong with the burger. It might have been creative, but mint just doesn't go with a beef burger. I would also ask for the buns to be toasted a bit. The burger was really juicy, but the bun was a bit soggy. For those reasons, I give the restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars. I might go back to the restaurant, but I would make request to get a bit more than 4 onion rings, get the bun slightly more toasted and to not include the BBQ mint sauce with the burger. Edit: The burger didn't come with the bbq mint sauce. We asked for BBQ sauce for the fries, but I personally didn't like the fact that it had mint. It definitely doesn't go well with a beef burger. I still give them 4 stars for the other 2 reasons.

There are 3 floors with three separate gorgeous eating areas and 3 full service bars. I loved the decorative tequila bottles and the aesthetic of each floor. Definitely worth taking time to explore. We stopped by before catching an amazing show at Fallser Club. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an extra 10% discount on our food by showing our tickets. We had cocktails and got our food to go to eat at the venue. You won't find food pictures from me in this review because due some dietary restrictions my food wasn't packaged as it usually is served. For the next show we will be going early and eating onsite to fully enjoy all Cresta has to offer. We will also make sure to sit on the 3rd floor rooftop level to enjoy the view where the very large windows are opened to enjoy the fresh air when Mother Nature cooperates. Back to to the food and drink. The cocktails are unique, gorgeous and delicious. Each one crafted with garnishes like fresh orange peel and pineapple leaves. Cocktails can be ordered with sugar, salt, or tajan on the rims. I highly recommend the apple cider margarita and the La Kartina hibiscus cocktail. The photos don't even do them justice. I ordered the plantains, deconstructed veggie tacos and a side of Al pastor chicken. I also had a side of the guacamole. The guacamole was so fresh and flavorful and I loved the cheese added to the top. The chicken was flavorful, well seasoned and very colorful. The plantains were the perfect level of sweetness. Now, about that the art! I loved the decor and art. The art around the restaurant and the tshirts employees wore were designed by a bartender who I didn't get to meet. The murals were so colorful and detailed. One was more beautiful than the next. I found a very cool selfie mirror on the 2nd floor that I loved! The artist's insta handle was on the wall as well and is included in my photos. From an accessibility standpoint, the second and third floors can only be reached by stairs and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Thank you Cresta for accommodating our large party for cocktails and takeout. I can't wait to come back for the full experience!

Relatively empty when we arrived about 6pm on Sunday, we had a choice to sit at the bar, outside, or even indoors. We took two corner bar seats, and the very friendly bartender got right to work. No cocktails today. Just a virgin margarita and a Mexican Coke along with waters. We split some guacamole and chips both of which tasted homemade on the spot, and while I had the shrimp tacos, my wife had the chicken empanadas. Both meals came out quick and were really good. I added some of my guacamole to the tacos, and the empanadas were full of chicken and were underneath an avalanche of lettuce and sour cream. Both meals were more than filling with the chips and guacamole. We made it to our show without any problems. It seemed that others were doing a pre-show dinner, too. About $75 including tax and tip with a 10% food discount. This included a Mexican Coke, virgin margarita, chips and guacamole, shrimp tacos, and chicken empanadas. We would definitely come back.
