We asked Nick to come out and give us a quote to replace a macerating toilet with an actual…read morenot-disgusting, working toilet. This involved cutting into a wall and then into concrete in the basement below the bathroom to run a sewer pipe (the old pipe from the macerating toilet was zip-tied to the wall in the basement). Nick was very responsive to email and text messages and kept us in the loop at all times, which is one of the reasons we ultimately hired him. He always let us know his ETA whether it was arrival for the initial estimate or the work that needed to be done. He listened to our somewhat uninformed ideas about what we wanted to do, and gave us reasoned options backed up by years of experience. We were very happy with the plumbing work completed (Nick made sure to clean his area each day he was here and brought his own drop cloths to protect the floors) and it was obvious he knows his trade. In addition, and perhaps most importantly, we liked having Nick at the house. He's very personable and friendly, and as an added bonus, our dog loved him (and vice versa). We plan to ask Nick to do some additional plumbing work in the basement bathroom once we get our act together.

My first plumbing issue was a shower and sink that needed stronger flow. I called 5 places with…read moreslick offices and secretaries but they didn't know exactly when a contractor would arrive. For Carsten I left a message but was pleasantly surprised when the actual plumber got back to me in just 30 minutes. Anyway, Chris arrived, diagnosed a silted up cartridge and faucet, cleared out the faucet himself and offered to replace the cartridge or just write down the part for me to buy and save $$. Less than an hour later I installed the cartridge and had a full pressure shower and faucet. Very cool. Next time in summer Chris was harder to schedule due to the busy season. I had a mystery ceiling leak. Again I called many other outfits and they wanted to send someone to give an estimate for $175 "service call fee" without actually fixing the problem. One even silently gave all my contact info to an immigrante guy with a "water moisture detector" who would somehow diagnose the leak remotely with his glorified dowsing rod. Anyway, I had to wait to get Chris again but he applied his experience, taking measurements etc and finally making a cut through cabinet ceiling to diagnose the issue definitively to corrosion in a drain line. Good stuff. Chris fixed the drain and best of all no unnecessary cuts or repairs were made to diagnose the leak. Well done.

Called one other plumber and he didn't either. Not sure why maybe because it doesn't bring in enough and or it could probably be done by a handyman. We had Fred and Devin from Advanced Plumbing respond to our house to temporarily move our house…read morewater pressure pump for a flooring job. The contractor who was doing the flooring work highly recommended them to handle the task as well as to replace a deep sink in our laundry room. Both plumbers were polite, professional and very competent. When the time came to replace the pump after the tiling work was finished, they repositioned it into a much better configuration with the new PEX plumbing lines and connections neat, orderly and clean. Also, during the flooring job, a toilet that had been removed for the tiling work was no longer functional when it was replaced. Devin and Fred quickly diagnosed the issue and later acquired the correct parts to properly re-attach and repair the issues that had arisen. They worked late and insisted upon making sure everything was in perfect working order before leaving our house. I would highly recommend Fred and Devin of Advanced Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing work and would definitely use their services again in the future.

My repair included breaking open my slab, finding the broken part of the pipe, cleaning everything up, doing a recorded video of the condition of the rest of the pipes, then button everything up like new and reseal the slab. These guys did a ton a work and left the place cleaner then they found that. This day and age, who does that!? Lol. Seriously, these guys are great, friendly, and exceptional at what they do. You can tell Blake cares about his work and his customers. Love it.

New Garbage Disposal…read more Start to finish had a great experience with Blake from Oregon Environmental Services. He was super responsive via the yelp "request quote" option and had availability as early as the next day. Tiffany from their front office was so nice when confirming the appointment and gathering the relevant info. Something they also did which was super nice was calling us ahead of time to let us know when the techs were dispatched so we knew about when to expect them (and they showed up in the 2 hour time frame we asked for). When they got here, they were very polite offering to take their shoes off, explaining what they would be doing and how long the labor would take. After they finished they explained the warranty, how to get the most out of the life of our disposal, gave a business card, and basically assured us of every question we could have possibly had. After a string of bad luck with plumbers this experience has me feeling good again!
