At the register, I asked if they offered a military discount. The cashier replied, "No sir, we try to be fair and offer the best price to everybody." I answered, "Well, to be fair... not everybody served." She apologized, and that was it. The staff were polite and the prices are fair, though nothing exceptional. My issue isn't the lack of a discount it's the principle. A veteran discount is simply a gesture of appreciation. Many businesses understand that; some choose not to. I picked up my gun and wished them a good day, but I'll be supporting shops that show appreciation for veterans without being asked. Just kinda shows where their values are. Apparently they don't think Military, Law Enforcement, Veterans or First Responders are anything special.

I had to bring it in 4 times to get nuts and cables readjusted and tightened. The brackets holding the entire top down came loose on an out of state road trip. Could have been catrastrophic. It is as if it was the first time H&H had ever installed a camper top. Of course every nut will come loose if they dont use lock washers or glue. They ultimately never fixed it correctly. It remains off center and a little crooked. Another nut came loose the other day so the opener won't work. Sales guy was nice but manager is a total jerk. Tells me "its off by millimeters". Thats just obnoxious. Why go metric to make it sounds like it is minor? It is crooked by a least half an inch and very noticeable. Weak ARE product, and very pathetic service that wouldn't stand behind it. This is a JV operation- go anywhere else!

My credit card was debited for the full amount immediately, that in and of itself is not proper business practice. Pictures were promised last week, never came. I was told the mantels were going to be shipped this week. No pictures. I sent another email and finally received one from a "friend" that doesn't work for the company, but was keeping up on emails. The email sent said mantels "were shipped" but damaged beyond repair. Now these mantels when shipped are in crates. Then I was told new mantels were going to be made, now mind you I NEVER received confirmation of shipment. This mystery person (owner of the company) said that a friend died. Interesting, after I cancel. I get an email showing one built mantel, not finished, and another mantel in pieces. Now remember, he had just told me the mantels were destroyed in shipping. It is very unprofessional to set improper expectations, but it is a serious character flaw to stoop so low to fabricate deaths to account for the lack of customer service.
