I called when I got close and Lee said he was closed but come on by as he was in the shop. Now that is personalized service! Pretty good selection of modern and antique black powder firearms. Lee is always a great conversationalist and I am never just in/out to buy something...we chat for a while. Very well informed and I trust his judgement and recommendations. I have been looking for a BP cylinder loading stand but didn't want one with a plastic base (have seen bad reviews on those). He had one with an aluminum base and great price compared to the plastic ones I had seen online. Had (2) in stock so I bought one and looking forward to trying it out when I get back home to Texas. Would certainly recommend stopping by this gun shop for black powder supplies or modern ammo as well. He will take care of you! Have also ordered some items on his website over the years as well.

All he did was grind off & ruin a new Wilson Beavertail grip safety. Additionally, he said the slide stop was broken & returned the broken pieces when I picked it up....damn sure wasn't broken when I assembled it before taking it to him. If you're in the market for an AR, he might be the one to see, but obviously knows little to nothing about 1911s. 1 star is too good based on my experience.

Once on the inside, they aren't overly huge, but make good use of the space on hand. Staff was really friendly, and I had been looking for specific ammo for some time, and two of them started sorting through their stuff to see if they had any. Really great customer service and very apologetic for not having what I was looking for. In addition to ammo, they have a small assortment of guns as well as some tactical gear (clothing) in the back room. If you are looking for something in the tactical arena, check these guys out, maybe they can help.

Once in that area another worker patiently provided insight into good beginner rods. I was informed that I could test out the rod for up to 60 days and if I didn't like it I could bring it back. Thankfully I used it today and will not be bringing it back because I really like my Ugly Stik! They also provide some free fishing line with purchase of a rod. The store is clean and well lit and the same goes for the parking lot. Check out was a breeze as I didn't have wait long and the checkout clerk was really sweet. I was given a container of Salted Caramel Fudge Bites before I left in exchange for a review! The fudge bites are AMAZING!

So, thankful for that opportunity available because many happy families in line to get a cute photo that they can keep as a memory. The reason for the low rating is because no greeting of "Merry Christmas" even though we acknowledged the greeters first with an introduction. Everyone else got one, but not us. And when in line, there was an obvious division between the others and me. I felt like I was not wanted there...like an annoyance or disappointment to be around. Some of the micro aggressions, but eh... it be like that sometimes. Must have been some people's first Asian that they ever met lol

I have been in this pawn shop a few times and I don't have too much to complain about however the…read moreprices are too high. The last time I was in there I was looking at their rifles and a used rifle there was about $30 more than a new one. I tried to barter but they wouldn't come down hardly at all so I left not willing to pay brand new prices for used items. I have sold things here so I know how much they pay according to the value of the item so I'm not sure what they're trying to do but it's not for me. It is clean and the employees are courteous enough but I haven't been able to do much business here as a buyer.

I think my disdain with Academy is that I'm not a Nike , Under Armour fan. This seems to be a lot of their inventory. I prefer their brand (BCG) over most of the brands they carry. I ended up with a Adidas T-shirt ($20). It's cute and will definitely come in handy! Overall , Academy is decent. I think they are good for team sporting equipment, etc. It's just not a store I care to regularly shop at. Pleased with my recent purchase & the customer service at checkout. No one asked me if I needed help or anything while I was browsing.... All good. This isn't always a deal breaker for me.

With me doing squats, something told me to get a weight belt to used while working out. The price for the belt were fair even though it cost me almost $30 dollars, but it been worth it since the belt is still in good shape. I also needed workout gloves and with me lifting weights, I need something to protect my hand. Like anything else, the gloves wasn't cheap, but worth the price since I had them for a couple of months and they still intact compared to most gloves I had before. Customer service is good and there return policy is fair as long you have your receipt.
