We got there about half an hour before opening and were one of the first ones there, which was helpful when choosing/picking apples as later on the farm got busier. The apples were a fair size--lots of damaged ones but I'm sure that means they don't use any pesticides or anything. The farm also had two cute and friendly kitties that came up to us! Overall, I would recommend this farm for a nice little getaway from LA city life. I would recommend booking a reservation and arriving early, as parking can get packed and the farm does get pretty busy.

They're known for their delicious donuts, but there's so much more to enjoy! One of the cool things is that you can sample different varieties of apples before deciding which ones to take home. They also have a great selection of wines. Peach Perfect and Black Bear were two of my favorites. I was hoping to grab Red Tractor, but unfortunately, it wasn't in stock this time. For you pickers, you can pick your own raspberries and apples for a small fee. It's a great place to slow down, relax, enjoy the scenery, and spend some quality time with family.

The scent of lavender wafting through the back patio was serene. The lavender fields offered scenic photo opportunities as well. The lavender themed cocktails were delicious. Pricey (paid $40+ w/tip for 2 drinks), but damn good. The matcha room offered high quality tea with balanced flavors (~$12+ w/tip). We loved the little shops offering unique items. The crafting area had engaging crafts; each station was about $8. We decided to make bookmarks using dried flowers. Staff at the crafting area were friendly and helpful. We also booked high tea. We loved that it was located at their back patio. There was a nice breeze and a good view of the lavender fields. Personally, I thought there was too much foot traffic during tea but other people in my party didn't mind. Our waitress was friendly, but a tad slow and unfortunately brought out the wrong tea. Overall, the food was good. We loved the curry sandwich the most along with a few of the desserts. The lemon poppy was fantastic! We paid $201 for this experience.

Casa Solano Orchards is a spot we added to our list of "must do's" when we come to the area again. It's owned and operated from their own family home. The cider options were all delicious, the family made you feel so welcome and happy you were there. There was so much room to hangout & grab a drink! Dont miss the seats by the creek or balcony seating! There is truly no bad spot. They had music playing, a childs playground, yard games, orchards to walk through and pick during the season... we will absolutely be back!

They are open every day. Farming and running a shop like this can be a thankless business, and most people don't realize how much hard work and expense goes into it. (Well, actually a plastic cup, but I'd drink either out of a rusty hubcap they're that good.) "Would you like some ratatouille crostini to go with that?" "But of course!" (Best call I made all weekend!) Sit by the fire or find a spot of sun at one of the scattered tables. Walk around and explore. Go to the creek at the back of the property and listen to the water go burbling along over the rocks and through the brambles. We were there early (just short of 11 a.m.) so it wasn't too crowded. If you want a commercial experience, go to the Village or else where on the mountain. If you want something truer, go to Stone Soup Farm.

This farm has always been a family favorite, we've taken the kids here year after year due to its beautiful scenery and very nice staff. The store sells awesome marmalade! The tour is relatively short, but very informative, which is perfect for kiddos, and there's very few people compared to busy weekends! The activities such as panning for gemstones and candle dipping are very fun for the kids, and I cannot say enough good things about their new children's garden! I highly recommend this farm, they have beautiful private picnics as well!

The strawberries were excellent. I am sensitive to chemicals so I avoid the store bought. they also have some kale and spinach growing, but they don't have any ready yet. They are sellling to high end markets and natural food stores right now. I think their label is Janet and Esther's. there are some other strawberry stands, but this is the only organic or "better than organic" stand I know of.
