I got bids from 4 different companies, but I knew right away I'd be hiring Green Triangle. Victor knows trees and showed me three of the many Douglas Fir trees that were diseased and had to come down. He walked the property taking notes. We have an acre. He and his crew also got rid of enormous patches of blackberries and scotch broom, clearing the pasture and cleaning up the front and back yards. He had a huge job to do, left the site clean, and did excellent work. He also had appropriate equipment (which was good, because enormous limbs of the overgrown trees were being chipped just about all day). The cost was very reasonable as well. To say he and his crew went above and beyond is an understatement. Green Triangle is the company to hire, hands down.

He then claimed I had signed a "contract." His form doubles as either an estimate or a contract. Without my knowledge, he circled the the word "contract" after he secured my signature. (Estimate/Contract option in the top corner.) After he was informed I was not hiring him, he subsequently wrote me what I felt was a very aggressive letter saying I owe him $500 for cancelling. Fact: I never accepted his contract. I signed what I understood to be an estimate. Upon receiving his collection letter, I called the Consumer Protection Agency for help. They reached out to talk to him. However, he appears to be too busy trying to collect from me to respond to the Agency, as I have not received notice from the Agency of his to their inquiry. Four months later and he is still pursuing collection of this cancellation fee on a "contract" I never accepted. My experience with Star has been unpleasant at best. In my experience, a professional ensures their client is aware they are signing a contract, and is knowingly accepting of all of the conditions of a contract. To do less is to invite the impression of being shady - of baiting someone to sign an estimate and then switch it to a contract. As a result of his dogged pursuit of a cancellation fee for a "contract" I never accepted, I would NOT recommend doing business with him, EVER.

They came and gave me their estimate, which I felt was very fair, so we shook hands, I signed the contract, and they showed up right on time to remove the tree as scheduled. They are true professionals. How they were able to perfectly cut the tree so it fell at such an angle that not a single branch even scratched my fence or any of the structures around it was very impressive. I appreciated how attentive the owner was in making sure I was 100% satisfied before they left. I could really tell how much pride and care they have about the work they do. From scheduling to cleanup, all was smooth, clear, and professional. They answered all of my questions and were very knowledgeable. I do not recommend these people unless you want to play games with trying to get a hold of them if there's any kind of problem at all. Instead, these guys came and removed the branch, repaired our roof, and fixed the ceiling with such an expert patch job that you can't even tell where the hole was on our ceiling. So they left them about 4 to 5 feet tall, which was perfect. It was on a very precarious slope. They were able to work around the slope, tight areas, homes nearby and power lines. Of course the powerlines were turned off. They did a fabulous job. I could not believe how efficient they are and how well they did. I will always use them for all my tree removal. They were very quiet and organized when I'd go down to look and check to see how they were doing. You could hardly tell they were there very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. All of them did a wonderful job. I'm so glad I called Archon they did an excellent job.

They also did a great job cleaning up all of the branches and debris created when the tree came down. They will definitely be my first call for any future tree work in my yard.
