The price was less than I normally pay at Take 5 with the coupon that I received. This was my first time at any Express Oil Change, but certainly not the last. Great job to the store manager, Shane and technicians, Trent and Riley! You guys definitely created a regular customer out of me. First time I've been in and out of an oil change within 15 minutes. The van was towed to a tire store in Livingston that inspected the tire and determined it was defective. They replaced it with different brand, (Toyo). They said they could . They have 4 double bays, two for lube - there was one car in one bay, and one car in front of the other bay. The guy who wrote the order said they were being slow today but it should be done in less than an hour - seemed a bit long for the few vehicles in the shop but I decided to go for it and grocery shop while waiting. they finished the car in front of me in about 15 to 20 mins and moved my truck onto the lift at 4:28 I asked when they were going to start on mine - the guy at the counter said there were 2 cars ahead of me ( meanwhile my truck had been parked over the lift for over an hour now meaning that entire bay had been unused and unusable for that entire time ). Told them to just give me my keys: he said I needed to go tell one of the mechanics in the shop area. Went into the shop and there was no one in the entire shop area. Went back inside and told the manager I needed my keys - he went out and found someone to move my truck outside. At 4:35 when I drove off, there was only a single person in the shop area and NO ONE working on any vehicles. I understand that this is not a repair station; that the people working there are underpaid; that the conditions are not good; that it is thankless work in which there are no incentives to do good work or be efficient; but all of that is on WalMart. My wife's car was checked in by Gary who professionally gathered the problem details Friday morning. The shop called that afternoon with diagnosis and upfront pricing. Later they discovered a motor mount that should be replaced and again called offering options. Later I met the owner, Warran who offered to release the car after shop was closed, to pick up the car , and he is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, offering advice for future maintenance without "selling". We will definably be back to this Waveland Gem.

Returned to have the issue re-addressed; he ignored the major symptom (actual noise coming from the actual part) that we pointed out during discussion which was the same part as initial problem). He instead quoted thousands to replace items (that careful investigation would have shown) had nothing to do with the issue. To make matters worse, the quote had the potential to double, and it would have, because the things he proposed to replace were 100% not the issue. His incompetency would have cost upwards of 8K in the long run bc the repair plan was absolutely WRONG. We went elsewhere for the repair. When we returned to his shop to discuss the failure and findings from CORRECT repair; he was very unprofessional before conversation even started. He walked up saying he was "...already in a bad mood..." before conversation even began. Ultimately, he refunded (only) a portion of the costly repair and told us never to come back! As if we would. Which, ironically, is 100% confirmation that this guy lacks critical thinking skills when it matters most. Because after all the wasted money and additional expense-why would we.

The car has ring marks, hair, holes and visible yellow paint ( the original color ). There facility is filthy. Look at the pictures. You can still see the original yellow paint under the new red paint. I have had three gentleman I know who came over to see my cars. All three professional car people. All of my cars are totally restored, except the Camaro. The paint job is exceptionally poor quality. It has to be redone. The bill to paint was $ 4,300, when I went to pick up the car two years later they handed me a bill for over $ 20k. Scam artist, I even pointed out the yellow paint to Greg Guthre and Donnie Jeffcoat. They forgot to mention my 1965 Dodge Power Wagon they had for 3 years. Nothing was done. I got my attorneys involved and took back my truck. They billed me for FAKE work. I got with my attorneys to sue these two pricks the attorney said both these guys are broke. They are nomads. They are renters and have no assets. Additionally Guthre has a number of bounced checks and judgements against him. I have been collecting cars for over 35 years and have over 30 vehicles. I have a number of people I use to work on my cars. I could call any of my car guys and go to dinner. Not these two conmen. These two pieces of garbage give the car industry a bad rap. Stay away ! I have never cheated anyone out of money. For the record the first notice I received when I went to pick up my car was a 500 percent price increase. No BS, not one email or anything in two years mentioning any additional charges etc etc. They told me if I paid them in cash they would cut the price to $ 10k. I got my car back for my original $ 4,300 the deal and only deal we ever made. It was very easy, my attorney called them out. End of story. You have been warned. Rumor has it Guthre is leaving, 4 places in 5 years.
