I was desperate to have someone come out to look at our heater. Ron and Dan were able to come out the same day! The minute these guys came in to inspect the heater, I knew we were in good hands. They were so professional and polite. They explained everything that was going on. Unfortunately, we did need a new heater unit. The circuit board was fried, and they explained that the part was pretty expensive, and due to the fact that we already paid a large amount of money to another company on the first repair, it would be more beneficial to by a new unit. They were able to install the new unit the very next morning. It only took a matter of hours and everything was left in perfect condition. They explained that the reason the circuit board fired was because the heater was overworking. The original duct/opening leaving the heater unit should have been at least 18" wide but it was only 6"!!! This was putting so much pressure back into the unit that it actually had caused several cracks in it. The thought that our old unit was a ticking time bomb that could have started a house fire or given us all carbon monoxide poisoning is so frightening. I can truly say that these guys saved our lives. Ron, Dan and their team did an amazing job. When they called me to tell me the install was done, it was already 14 degrees warmer by the time I came home. With our old heater it would have taken all day to warm our house back up! The new heater kicks ass! Boy, can we feel a difference. I can finally feel the warm air out of the vents. Our baby's room was always the coldest room in the house. We had to use a space heater every night to keep her warm. With our new heater, her room is so warm, comfy and SAFE! Thank you so much for everything! We are extremely pleased with our new heater. Very professional job and money well spent! Top notch company! We will be sure to use Mountain Plumbing and Heating now and FOREVER!!!

How often does that happen anymore?…read more Last year, the sewer on our cabin backed-up and the property management company called out another company to clean it out. The sewer line needed to be replaced, so we went with that other company. When they were out, the tried to hard-sell replacing the furnace. I finally let the guy scope it and he admitted it was old but not cracked. Fast forward to this year. We did want to replace the furnace and add a/c. So we called that other company and Eagle Mtn. The other company came out and told us the heat exchanger was cracked and had to replace the whole thing. I told them that their other employee had scoped it not too long ago and it was fine. They left embarrassed and didn't even bother giving us an estimate. We contacted a Second company and got an estimate from them, and Eagle Mountain was the third estimate we asked for. The Second company was more expensive then Eagle Mountain, and was not particularly pleasant to deal with. (I don't know what pooped in their cheerios that morning, but they were grumpy.) Tom from Eagle Mountain came out and was friendly, clean, and explained everything. He was cheaper then the other company AND included more work AND a wireless thermostat. And did I say he was cheaper?! We gave Eagle Mtn the key and alarm code to the cabin. Everything went quickly and turned out excellent. We could not be more happy. We highly recommend TOM and FRANCINE (who cheerfully answers the phone and choreographs everything.) Thank you for a wonderful job!

In short, Jesse, the owner performed the usual BBL "bait & switch" on pricing. I was quoted $550 for the following: kitchen sink faucet bathroom sink faucet tub/shower combo faucet, including valves. I called a week prior to the job, and told Jesse, I was coming up from the South Bay, specifically for this, as I don't live on the mountain. We talked in detail about what was needing replaced, timeframe, and cost. We had a good chat, and he reassured me the cost/timeline. The day comes and his two plumbers were 45 minutes late, and I had to call Jesse asking for an ETA. Once the guys got to the house that's when they called Jesse confirming the installation, and now the price has doubled. I spent over $1000! I have a full-time tenant living in the home, I do not live on the mountain, and I did not have time to start calling more plumbers for estimates on how much this job would cost. I understand pricing can change once you "get in there" and see the job, but I spoke in detail about everything prior to booking... so now I'm just pissed, and being up against the ropes, I just went ahead with the job. Although the price was doubled, the work did appear to be done correctly, and everything was done in less than four hours. I haven't heard any complaints from my tenant about anything leaking or any other issues. It also took a week, four phone calls, and multiple text messages just to get an invoice from Jesse. Out of all the contractors and handymen I have dealt with on the mountain, J.O's Plumbing was by far, the worst. Don't waste your time, energy, or money dealing with him.
