Horrible experience with Luke and granite installation. Countertops scheduled for installation on Wednesday September 9th, 2020. This is for a house we are getting ready to list on the market so made the drive to the house for them to install it. I get a call from Rob the installer saying he messed up one of the raised bar pieces and that they will install that specific piece 2 days later on Friday September 11th. I mentioned to Rob I will need to let someone in the area know to let them into the house but will need to work with their schedule as they have to work. Rob agreed. September 15th, I call as I have not heard anything from them on the install. They say we will try to schedule an installation for September 18th but can only make the morning work. This does not work for me as now I need to make a separate trip and the family in the area will be working until afternoon. Rob leaves for vacation the following week so if I would like it installed, I need to wait until the following week. Luke immediately gets defensive and says you need to work with my schedule now. Raises his voice on the phone, says I don't know where you're from but we don't deal with stuff like this around here. You work with my schedule and most people let them in to install countertops without ever being home. I'm not letting random people into a house to work without me being there. Luke hangs up and now refuses to answer the phone call at the office and says "let me know when you have something smarter to talk about but i'm not dealing with this today". Stay away from Luke and Luther Falls. Horrible service and horrible owner. My experience with Luther Falls was great. Ashley was extremely helpful with design decisions. Communication and follow up were all excellent. Pricing was much better than any other place we looked. Everything was done on time and the countertops are gorgeous. A few minor issues were quickly resolved. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because none of the installers came masked. Please steer clear of this company. Initially got a good price but that was it. The granite counter tops installed has divots in it, badly filled areas and the seem doesn't match in thickness. These issues have been verified by another company. We attempted to contact luther falls to correct the issues but he would return earlier calls. He did finally call only to scream and cuss us out over the phone. Said he is done and is not going to do anything. A few days later he calls my wife to apologize, to schedule an appointment to come and see for himself. I returned his call, asked him to contact me only, not my wife, and to please call to setup an appointment. No reply. We thought using a company who had been in the area for years would be the one to use. WRONG! Please read reviews, I didn't. I learned a lessen here. Initially we had intended to use Lowe's for everything related to our kitchen remodel, but we had a few snags along the way that were never resolved. As result we decided to look elsewhere for our countertops. We went to Luther Falls expecting that they may be more expensive, but to our surprise they were cheaper. One advantage to working with Luther falls is that you are able to select the slab that your countertops will be cut from, at the other places you select from a stock sample and get something that may or may not look like what you selected. So we have bought several countertops over the years from this place and we usually price it out all over town, then end up buying here. Competitive pricing, not always the lowest, but usually near the lowest priced what sells us is the ease of the whole process with them. They tell you what it costs and what is going to happen and that is what happens. Definitely the most transparent when it comes to price and the most user friendly on getting measured and making sure it is right. On the day of install, they put in the sink we had asked for, when my wife did not like it, they switched it out the next day. the dishwasher came loose a week or two after the install, they came back and fixed it. We are having them put in a coutertop outside when the weather clears up, good company, solid work, user-friendly experience. read more

Pros: Excellent prices! Got the job done... eventually. Cons: Dee, the owner & mom of the operation is pretty checked out and doesn't seem to know the products very well, cabinets especially. The daughter is in the office a lot but is neither pleasant nor helpful. We ordered a full, new set of cabinet doors. Dee didn't seem to mind the minor defects in the assembly and finishing, but I felt like half of them needed to be replaced. The manufacturer only replaced four, and two of those still had defects. There were plenty of other issues, and ultimately I might use them again if I wanted cheap quality for a rental but not for a high-end kitchen or quality work. read more

I was extremely excited about getting cabinets when I saw all the stone slabs. I really fell in love with several and I was looking at flooring that would coordinate. We're remodeling a small, old kitchen. The main thing I needed/wanted was a small sink in the corner next to the stove, because I'm a senior and have trouble carrying heavy pots. They said that sink couldn't go where I wanted; it had to go in a different cabinet which means I would still have to carry heavy pots when I need something full of water or to drain spaghetti, etc. Their location for the sink wasn't significantly closer than the main sink I already had. There is plenty of space for a corner sink and the plumbing is already there. I kept asking for someone to draw a diagram and show me what and where the problem was and if we could work around it. I kept getting told that what I wanted couldn't be done but no one could show in a diagram what the problem actually was. Maybe what I want wasn't feasible, but no one would show me why it work with me to find a compromise. I don't know if they were disinterested because my kitchen is very small but I have an old home and I can't get more space from anywhere. I'm very disappointed. read more

I find it fascinating that at the beginning of your rebuttal, you claim you showed me pictures of slabs at the supplier because you couldn't sell me the ones at your place as they were already sold. And you admit to stating I needed to give you half (8g) to see the slabs...but by the end of the story I didn't really exist. I was never offered anything, there was no issue with settling. I was insulted, called names, and treated rudely when I called to have the seam repaired. I stand by my truthful review. Bad business practices have dogged this company for years, read the reviews. The Better Business Bureau has been notified of this fraudulent company, and they are handling it from here. If I could give Luther Falls no stars for service, I would. We went to Luther Falls to get a quote on granite countertops. The person there could have cared less to receive our business. It appears this company has so much commercial work, they really don't need or want business from homeowners. When I called about a sale they have, the person answering the phone was very snippy and ended up hanging up on me. I would NEVER do business with this company. We had our kitchen measured for cabinets in mid-May, and finalized our order from the plans supplied by Deanna Falls. We were told the delivery time for the initial cabinets was 5 weeks (which would have been end of June). A few weeks later I am told by the company that the manufacturer is behind on orders, and it will be an additional 6-8 weeks. In mid-August, having expected to hear at least an update, I tried to contact Deanna by both e-mail and phone and get no responses. Eventually, after waiting a few weeks or so, I drove up to the business to find out what is going on and am told that Deanna had retired. The cabinets finally arrived after Labor Day and were installed by our contractor. Luther then came to my house to measure for the island cabinets, which were then ordered. When those cabinets arrived, the style and type was completely different from what was on the design plans, being doored cupboards, rather than drawers, and an ogeed face design that did not match the style of the Craftsman fronted cabinets already installed. In the ensuing weeks while we are patiently waiting for corrected cabinets, I made several calls to Luther Fall's office and reached his assistant who promised me he would call me back promptly. It was often a week before I would get a call back, if at all, and often I had to visit him in person to get an answer (such as: Where are the drawer pulls? A: "we didn't order them. Feel free to go buy them elsewhere", or Q; Can I order one more thing -a set of shelves?" A: Can't you just build them from scraps?"). Anyway, yesterday, Nov 17, the delivery men from Luther Falls drop off 3 more boxes and we open them while the truck is still here to find that only one of the 3 units is correct and the other two are incorrect, having 3 drawers instead of the two deep drawers on the original design. The delivery guys call Luther and are told by him that I had to "take 'em or leave 'em", So I call the business and the assistant tells me he's not there to take my call. I explain the situation to her, and soon I hear Luther yelling in the background that "the customer had changed her mind TWICE now, so tell her she'll have to take me to court if she wants different cabinets". Then he finally gets on the phone and proceeds to yell at me, refusing to back down and still insisting that I'd have to take him to court. I send the delivery guys away, apologizing to them for having to wait and hear a heated argument. Their answer is "We work there. It's like that every day." After I have a chance to call my spouse with the bad news that we need an attorney, I pull the original designs up on my computer, having saved the e-mail from back in May, and send it to Luther. I get an e-mail back saying that they will order the corrected cabinets. The errors were because they had lost their copies of the design. No apology, however. Just a couple of gift cards for a restaurant I can't eat at (for dietary issues). So this additional 6 weeks of waiting, and the loss of my respect, could have been saved by them simply admitting the loss of the design. With luck we might have had a completed kitchen by the New Year.... BUT, when the third set of island cabinets finally arrived, they were broken in several places - two of the drawer supports were broken off in one cabinet, plus it had a huge crack on the face. Of the other cabinet to flank the range, the face was separated from the body of the cabinet on one side. I chose at that time to repair those issues rather than wait yet another 3 weeks. Additionally, they delivered a 4x8 sheet of 3/4 inch finished-on-one-side plywood, which I was told was "for the cabinet you wanted to build" along with a $550 bill for same, despite my never having ordered such an item.... (I paid for it anyway, not wanting more drama, despite the outrageous pricetag) So, when time finally came to have the island countertop installed, we set a date, and his response was that I had to have a cashier's check for the balance due. I asked for a simple itemization of all of the costs to date, and he adamantly refused to provide one, even tho' the amount of granite actually installed was less than that of the original estimate. According to him, there was no adjustment due and I had made it all up. I was a bad customer who had "changed her mind frequently and caused them to make extra trips to the house". When I did get at least a bill for the total job, I noticed that the backsplash tiles that he had quoted me a $10 a square foot price on for 30 Sq ft., was now being billed at $580. The answer that I got to this error was that "we will not ever come to your house again", and he decided he would keep the countertop that was already cut, crediting me with the remainder of the bill "against the credit you invented", a credit that according to Dee Falls we had coming, but according to him "I fired that person" (his mother...) thereby implying that her word was not valid anymore. read more

Stopped by with a drawing of what I wanted and took a sample. I was told I would get a quote and some pictures of the actual slab of the sample I was looking at. After a week I e mailed them and said I was going to look elsewhere if they were not interested in my business. They responded back by saying they were very busy and who are you? I returned the sample and I told them I was the person who contacted them by e mail. They just said ok and let me walk out the door. I am spending thousands of dollars on a kitchen remodel and was willing to give them a good chunk of it but they were not interested. No way to do business. I will never be back or recommend them to anyone. I have never been treated so rude from a business. They could have cared less that I was even there. Don't even deserve one star. read more

Worked with Dee got the cabinets and counter tops. After the counter tops were in had problems with cabinets. Called and scheduled over and over to come and see them never would come or call back. Finally did they made the mistakes we had to pay and get them fixed they wouldn't. Still not right. A friend of mine called and had them measure their kitchen for new cabinets and counters they never called back with a quote after calling to see if they had it ready they went somewhere else. Big Kitchen what a big loss. I think to many distractions and seems like they really don't care if they get your business or not. We will not be going back or send anyone else to them. I used to work with the owners wife and she was a very pleasant co-worker. Of course I thought of using a local company when ready to upgrade my bathrooms and Luther Falls was my second stop (my contractor was pushing a big box store so I went there first to appease him). My Initial experience was nothing exceptional, but since I was just wanting remnants, I knew I was small potatoes. It was when I provided them with my contractors measurements and specs that I experienced the WORST customer service EVER. the ONLY way they will do business with you is if your remodel work is done EXCEPT the countertops, which is when they will do their own measurements. They will then come to your house and miraculously measure to the EXACT same measurements you already had. And if you have decided that being without a sink in both your bathrooms for 7-10 days while they cut a hunk off a remnant is just too long, and only have one bathroom ready for them to measure, they will call you a liar and accuse you of tricking them while standing IN YOUR HOME. I felt unsafe, threatened and bullied. I am still completely confused as to how I lied or tricked them, but I'm not losing sleep over it. I found the exact same granite through a wonderful company and it ended up being $50 LESS. It was an 80 minute drive south and totally worth it. DO NOT GO TO LUTHER FALLS. Let some other sucker help them pay for their $70,000 SUV's. read more

I had read the negatives and thought they were just complainers. Went ahead and had them work for me. Now I have to add my negative review to the many listed. Order was originally screwed up 3 times causing delays. Finally got cabinets in and they are beautiful, but not without testing patience. However, the granite counter in the kitchen was installed incorrectly. They did not put shims near the seam which resulted in the granite gradually shifting with dishwasher use. Had them come back to work on it, which was done, but it was a bandaid...some caulk and fill. It again worked loose and the seam is open, grout falling out. When I contacted LF I was yelled at, insulted, and hung up on. I was not even allowed to explain the situation or finish a sentence. So I would advise you to run the other way from this business. I am now having a reputable granite company repair their mistakes which add to the "cheap" price they charged. read more

We had a terrible experience with this company. We hired them to update our kitchen - to change the cabinets and install a granite counter tops. They did a nice installation job. But they did not install the right color granite - I guess I didn't ask them enough, only told them about 10 times, and even had them put my name on the granite slab I chose. When we went to the office to talk to them about it, Mr. Falls, I assume (he said he was the owner, but we dealt only with his wife Deanna and his son Luther Falls) came out of the back room and began shouting at us, requesting us to leave his place of business at once, stomping his foot at us and crowding us out. He acted like a deranged person, screaming obscenities, making derogatory remarks, and throwing his fists in the air, calling my 75-year-old husband (who recently had had open heart surgery) a "son of a bitch" and other names, after my husband asked him to please stop shouting. When I reminded him that we are his clients, he screamed at us that we were not his clients anymore and commanded us to leave at once. My husband and I both were in a state of shock and disbelief, but I continued to try to converse with Deanna, which was cut short by a policeman having shown up, who escorted us out. Indeed, the man, whom I assume was Mr. Falls, had called the police, though it was only 4:50 p.m., ten minutes before the store was to close. I simply was trying to talk to the people whom we had hired to do a job of remodeling our kitchen for us. I have to say, we never have been so humiliated in our entire lives! We were going to use their services for updating both of our bathrooms, but not anymore, of course, not after we've been through with them. They were quite a bit cheaper than other places I checked, now I know why - they totally ignore your wishes, and install whatever is convenient for them at the moment, never-mind that you ordered something different and paid for it with your hard earned money. Now I wish I hired another company and paid more, but have what I ordered and paid for. I know two other people who received the wrong granite from them. Evidently it's a norm for this so called business. I hope this will be a warning to others. read more

I went in on 10-13-14 to get prices on bathroom counter that we are doing now and kitchen at the first of the year. After first being greeted by a couple of barking dogs ( thank goodness I have no fear of dogs) Kaylie manages to drag herself out to talk to me. She give me a couple of quotes based on my measurements and sends me to North Mattis to look at granite. I find a remnant for my bathroom that I loved, decided on it and went back to the showroom the next day, paid my deposit and was told to call in 3 weeks to set up a measure. Then it would take a week to get them out and then 2 weeks to get an install appointment. That puts it at the week of Thanksgiving. I told them my bathroom was tore apart and could we schedule the measure on 11-4 as I had the day off. We could, reluctantly.I heard nothing from them. I called on 11-3 to make sure that they were coming. She acted like I was an idiot for calling to confirm. They (Luke Falls and son Luther Falls) are timely for the appointment. I ask when will it be installed? 2 weeks, "we will call you". That would put the install on 11-18. The evening of 11-17, I have heard nothing, so I call them. I have TOTALLY misunderstood the 3 times Luther told me that they would call me! Deanna calls me on the morning of the 18th and they can't do it until December. After complaining, they are going to do me a favor and work me in on Saturday the 22nd. On the morning of the 19th I go into the showroom to confirm that we are on the same page with the piece of granite and the color of sink and back and side pieces. We are. At the end, I said, "now to confirm you will call me 15 minutes before you intend to arrive." Luke screams at me from another room, "if no one calls you, then you call us so you can't blame somebody!"I calmly asked Deanna what he meant and she mumbled around a bunch of nothing. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. They are uninterested, unconcerned, rude, abrasive. The only thing they have going for them is the people who are not part of their family and work for them are nice people. The installers were not members of the family and they were great! We purchased cabinets and countertops. We had no issues with the countertops. The guys that installed those and work for the Falls are very professional. The owners were not. We had tons of problems with the cabinets. They came out and measured and they crafted the design. We had problems getting everything we ordered actually delivered, when the cabinet were delivered we had problems with THEIR design (two cabinets were the wrong size and one was the wrong height), a couple of cabinets had dents and the drawer hardware didn't work correctly (they were supposed to be soft closing slides and wouldn't close without pushing really hard and hearing the hardware snap), they promised to fix things and get us done with this renovation but started not calling us back. In the end, all these issues suddenly became my fault and I had somehow done something wrong to them! I had never previously spoken to the son or the father, had never gotten angry or said anything mean and when trying to resolve the last of the issues with the cabinets we were yelled at and had the son stalk away and slam a door in our face. The father yelled and told me never to come back. I had never even spoken to those two before that day. I expect companies to fix their mistakes and deliver products that are not defective. When I finally got the owner on the phone to ask when they could come measure, he told me to shut up and would send me my money back. He is the one that told me to call them to set up a time for measuring this week. I was told to F@#$ OFF and that I was a stupid sh_t for calling because they were so busy. I told him that he just lost out on a complete kitchen remodel as well as me telling everyone I know that I would not recommend them. He said, I don't give a sh*t because he has so much business it doesn't matter. Do not give these people your business. He flipped out on me for asking when they could come measure. He got so irate on the phone that his wife Deanna had to take the phone from him. All I wanted was an appointment for them to measure what I had already put money down on. Worst business I have ever dealt with! If my money is not returned with in a week, I will be forced to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau along with the others that are already on there from others. read more
