We cannot say enough good things about Magni Flooring. From the very beginning, they were…read moreincredibly knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. They truly know how to work with real wood like no one else--we were blown away by their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and deep understanding of quality materials. What really sets Magni Flooring apart is their honesty and fairness. They took the time to explain our options clearly and helped us make smart choices that ended up saving us a significant amount of money, without ever compromising on quality. The entire process was efficient, well-organized, and stress-free. The results completely transformed our apartment. The floors looked stunning and made a huge difference in the overall feel and value of the space. Thanks to their work, we were able to sell the apartment faster than expected, which speaks volumes about the impact of their craftsmanship. Magni Flooring is fair, efficient, and exceptionally skilled. We also want to specifically mention that we worked with Marcin, who took excellent care of us throughout the entire process. We cannot recommend Magni Flooring enough.

Pricing came in around the other two quotes, and we ended up adding a second room to the job. The team was polite, efficient, and had great attention to detail. They even stained the shoe molding to the color of the floors, which was not expected on our end (the other quotes only offered to install them raw). They had a job go long on a Friday so they had to delay the start, but stayed later until the job was done the following day. Highly recommend.

My next door neighbor had Carpetland install hardwood floors throughout their house. Based upon…read moretheir recommendation, I hired Carpetland to replace the carpet in my upstairs hallway and the stairs to the first floor and basement after my wife slipped and fell down the stairs on some old carpet. We replaced the carpet with the same hardwood that we have on the first floor. The job went fairly well. There was a language barrier, as the crew that was sent either did not speak English, or did not speak it well. There were a few hiccups, but they were resolved without too many issues. Fast forward about 7 months. I decided to surprise my wife while she was out of town and had the first floor refinished. I specifically asked if the job could be done within my timeframe while my wife was out of town. While I was told that there would be no problem, I was not told that the tradeoff would be only one coat of polyurethane instead of two. That second coat makes a huge difference! Again, a crew shows up and language is an issue. I tried communicating as best I could, but they did not seem to understand. Dust control was a major issue. I am still finding areas of my house other than where the work was done covered with dust. The floor was gouged just inside the front door. Whoever was using the sander must have been doing on the job training. You can see where he changed directions with the sander and I still see swirl marks on the floor. The foyer was not sanded evenly, but the crew leader swears he could not see it. After registering my complaints, John-the sales rep-was very apologetic and offered to send the crew leader out to make things right. Roberto came back two days later and tried to gaslight my wife and I. He insisted that there were two coats of polyurethane on the floor...even though he wasn't not even present when it was applied. He did (mostly) fix where the floor was gouged. The non-English speaking crew returned the next day to apply a second coat of polyurethane. It is interesting that she spoke English well enough to ask for payment before she left. Once the floor dried, I noticed spots that were missed. I reached out to John again and he assured me that he would have Roberto come to address any concerns and he would return with him. It was at that point that I made the mistake of paying the invoice. I have not heard from John since. My next project involves replacing all of the carpet on the second floor with hardwood floors. Guess who will not be getting the job?

They were late 2 out of 3 days without notifying me, and the job felt rushed. Yusef promised me a $500 discount. Later, he denied ever making the offer, and the manager attempted to reduce it to $100. The manager also implied that only his word matters, using an example meant to justify why the original agreement shouldn't count. Customers shouldn't have to figure out which employees have "authority" -- if an employee makes a promise on behalf of the company, the company should honor it. Something I learned after the fact -- and wish I'd known before signing -- is that in many flooring companies, salespeople work on commission, sometimes 5-15% of the total sale. Managers may also receive a commission override. Installation crews are typically paid a set rate or per-square-foot amount, which means the company's actual cost is often much lower than the customer price. In these setups, discounts sometimes come out of the salesperson's commission, which could explain why I received pushback on the agreed $500. I'm not claiming to know this company's exact pay structure, but it's worth consumers being aware of how this industry often works so they can make fully informed decisions. I ultimately received the correct discount, but only after unnecessary back-and-forth, unprofessional behavior, and an attempt to undermine my honesty. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values clear communication and integrity.
