After my car broke down within a few weeks of arriving (I guess cross-country driving can do that to a 10 year old car), I decided Springfield Tire was the best bet. They weren't cheap, but I felt confident that they'd do the best job. They fixed my car, and about $600 later, I was back on the road. They had warned me that the starter was about to go out on my car, but thought I had a few months to save up some cash before repairing. The very next day, the starter died and I was left stranded at a gas station in Chicopee. I called up Harry, asked him if they could get a tow-truck to bring me down to the shop. Not only did a tow truck come, but I never even was asked to pay the driver (I guess Springfield Tire graciously took care of it, since my car was just in the shop a day before). That right there is world-class service, folks. I continued to get my oil changed there dutifully every 3 months ($29.50). When I needed my Massachusetts emissions testing and inspection, of course I went to Springfield Tire. But wouldn't you believe, I needed almost $1000 in repairs to make my car "safe" to drive in MA per the inspection, most of it replacing parts of the front end, getting an alignment, etc. They quoted me about $950 or so, and I called around to verify this was a "fair price". Although Springfield Tire and Auto was not the cheapest, they were right on target in terms of price (unfortunately). I dropped my car off in the morning, and by the late afternoon, everything was fixed. Just last week, I took my car in for it's regular oil change and it took only about 20 minutes! When I went to leave, my car wouldn't start. Even though it was very near closing time, Steve and one of his mechanics stayed to replace the starter that they had replaced in October. They did so FOR FREE because it was still under warranty. I'm so grateful to have a mechanic shop that I can trust with costly and important repairs, who I can count on in an emergency, and who doesn't unfairly gouge their prices or sell you things you don't need. I won't go anywhere else!

We were pleasantly surprised, they were friendly, honest and the turn around had us out the door in just over an hour. They were very down to earth people, the owner was on site and when asked if we wanted the tire warranty he said oh never mind your not local, but did say if we had any ANY problems at all he would find a location, with cooper tires and make things right. We had 2 separate blow outs on the same wheel of our camper during a recent vacation. We called…read morePete's and trepidatiously drove with no spare. They seemed great on the phone and had the right size of trailer tire in stock. We arrived 30 min. Prior to closing and were greeted with empathy (as we were pretty traumatized from 2 blow outs on the interstate). Multiple technicians looked under our travel trailer to try to diagnose the cause for 2 good tires to blow. While nothing was or has been figured out, we were put at ease. Rather than just putting the 8 ply tire on our open wheel, they moved the tires, so a 6 ply was now our spare, and we were back to having 4, 8 ply tires under our camper. Pete's had incredible service, was reasonable, and the guys there were honestly an answer to prayer. We are from the midwest, and cannot be repeat customers.
