I had to take my car to a mechanic three days later for the rack and pinion problem that they missed inches from the front axel they repaired. If a non-mechanic like me can spot the rack and pinion boot leaking steering fluid, then a real mechanic being paid $100 to diagnose a car should be able to as well.
