Finally got a chance to visit the newly opened Azukita con Cafe and I was impressed. It is nicely decorated, both inside and out. The wall art is beautiful and tastefully done. The restaurant also has parking, in the rear, which is a premium for Edgewater eateries. I started with a Guanabana (Soursop) Shake and it was very good. It was creamy, refreshing, and served in a large cup. Our entrees were, as follows: Cuban Fried Rice, with chicken. This dish was so good. The rice was grainy, delicious, there was chicken in every forkful, and the spices were phenomenal. Next was the Ropa Vieja (shredded beef stew). The meat was perfectly seasoned, the savory sauce enveloped every shred of meat, and the Moro Rice was amazingly dry and grainy. The third was the Pechuga de Pollo (Grilled Chicken Breast). This chicken breast was thin, smothered in spices/onions, and came with a side salad. The sweet plantain sides are my favorite and they were soft and sweet. Drizzling them with lemon elevates the taste and I could never get enough. I'm saving the service for last, because it was extraordinary. The owner, Adelson, spent time at our table, reminiscing about our mutual history living in Hudson County, and treated us like family. Going to the extent of giving us free dessert...Bread Pudding with embedded raisins. Thank you, Azukita, for opening in Edgewater and I look forward to future meals in your establishment.

Stop by for a cup of coffee on the weekend and it was pretty empty. The staff was friendly, but did not really seem knowledgeable about much because we inquired about the catering options and they were not able to answer a single question. Coffee was good not great. Don't expect them to have many options like flavored syrup or anything like that it really is just a basic cup of coffee. Places casual with a few outdoor seating options-it's decorated nicely, but the noise of river Road sort of ruins that.

Masita de puerco, black beans and white rice. Side of avocados. Better be incredible for that price.

Extremely surprised how legit "Home cooked cuban food" this was. Let's start with the black beans, holy cow, totally reminds me of my Tia Tata's black beans. Flavorful, can taste the cumin and they were not watery at all, on the contrary, they were thick, as Cuban black beans should be. The masita de puerco was so moist and tender. Lots of flavor and you can taste the garlic but not over powering. The lady cooking all the food is straight from Cuba, not some person from another country that was taught how to cook like a Cuban. She's the real deal. Place is small with outdoor seating and some tables in the back. Although a tad expensive for any "Latin cuisine" this place is surely worth trying out. Looking forward to trying the "Pollo empanizado" next time I'm here.

Great lunch spot if you're in the area! Must try their "platos" option that come with 2 sides.

Service can definitely improve! I'll be honest, very disappointed with the customer service not the food. The food was amazing. This was my second time here the first time I came in a young lady took care of me. Same one as today I ordered a Cuban sandwich. I thought I was going to pay $9 maybe 10 which is the max price for Cuban sandwich she told me it was $19. I told her that price was astronomical for a sandwich and she told me that because of the area that they were located that " they can charge that price because people there had money" I found that remark very tacky nonetheless, I ordered the sandwich paid the $19 and enjoyed it , was delicious. Went back there again today. I asked her if she could, please speak to the owner and just charge me $10 since at Las Palmas it's nine dollars. I heard her on the phone with the owner. She was just nasty to me after she hung up I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. Food here is amazing but they should definitely train their employees to have better customer service skills. They lost a potential customer because I would've definitely ordered more food from there since I live in the area. Again, location and food were great. The girl was so rude. I would definitely not come back or bring anyone here ever. Food: 5/5 | Service: 1/5

The bar area was pretty busy but there were plenty of tables. I ordered the surf & turf which came out to around $60 (MP due to the lobster tail). My dad ordered the ribeye. Both steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked to our desired medium rare. We both felt that the quality was really good. I also highly recommend the garlic mashed potatoes. I also ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert, which comes with vanilla ice cream. Not the best one I've ever tried, but it certainly satisfied my chocolate craving. The servers checked in on us a few times (but not so often that it got annoying). Also, I had asked for my leftovers to-go and then left it on the table when I left, and someone ran out to catch up to us and give me the leftovers I'd forgotten. Really appreciated that!

She decided to come on a Saturday night as they have a live DJ. The restaurant has valet parking, but my husband and I opted to park in a local parking garage and walk over. It was about two blocks. The place is absolutely stunning! It is located right across from the city where you can enjoy beautiful views of the skyline and water. The restaurant has several gorgeous chandeliers and a very upscale vibe. The dining area seemed to be split in two and we sat in what seemed to be the main dining area, with the bar. But there was another extended area beyond. I was completing dry January so opted to have a mocktail. I had a guava margarita mocktail and let me tell you... This was the best mocktail I've ever had! A lot of times when I order one it just literally tastes like soda. I'm not sure exactly what they put into this one, but there was a smoky finish that made it taste like there was mezcal. Even my husband was surprised at how delicious it was and how much it resembled an alcoholic drink. I was elated to actually have a delicious tasting non-alcoholic drink. (For once) To eat, my husband and I shared the antojitos sampler. This made more sense for us than getting the individual appetizers we got - as that way would have been more expensive and we wanted to be able to try multiple things. The sampler came with ham & cheese croquetas (which were my husband's fave) mixed empanadas, maduros rellenos, queso Fritos y chicharrones. The fried cheese, maduros & chicharrones were my fave even though it was all amazing. For dessert, we had flan and sadly that was a miss for me. My grandmother's Puerto Rican flan will always top any that I try, so idk why I try lol Their spin is to add pineapple and I didn't like it. All in all, it was a wonderful birthday celebration and the birthday girl enjoyed the food & the vibe. Thanks for having us Son Cubano! I will be back to try your brunch!

Their food, service and hospitality has been always been five star. So when something is so good why change, just expand. We visit the Huntington location quite often. We start with Pina Coladas and Cuba Libre (rum and coke), for appetizers the chorizo and tamales. While there is an assortment of meats, fish and chicken, our favorite is the ropa veija, tender shredded beef in a wonderful sauce with the best steamed white rice and of course madoros. Another hit of ours is the breaded steak and my new favorite, the broiled flounder. Our next dish will be the paella. Just need to call ahead. The Flan, Tres Leches cake and Cuban coffee is always a good ending. The service is always top notch. Red and white table cloths. A bar area with a separate dining area. You may even be lucky to catch a unique celebration song and dance by one of the staff. Make sure you have your camera ready. And a special thank you to Raul. The last time we were there, I tried a new dish that was good, but not something that enjoyed. Don't you know it, Raul surprised me and sent me home with a serving of Ropa Vieja. Thank you Raul.

The restaurant had a nice interior, fancy bar, lots of arts and Cuban vibes all around. They had booth seating by the window that had good view of Hudson Terrace and I-9. We started our lunch with appetizer sampler that came with empanadas, croquettes, bao bans and potstickers. I liked both the empanadas (beef and chicken), the chicken potstickers were also good. Ham croquettes and the bao buns with shredded beef were average. For entree I ordered the Rabo Encendido (braised oxtail stew). It came with three pieces of bone with plenty of meat on them, on side of rice and beans. I loved the taste of the oxtail and the stew, was flavorful and meat was tender. I also got to try the seafood paella which lacked flavor, rice was so bland. The chicken & waffle's waffle was good but the fried chicken pieces were so basic. I got the mango mojito (non-achohol) that was so tasty, I ordered two of them. Our server was super nice, did an excellent job throughout the lunch. All staff members were friendly.
