This is a great place. The prices are comparable to similar restaurants, but the food is by far the best. I have to admit that I've tried a lot of the items on the menu, but the Burrito Michoacán is so unbelievably good that I almost never order anything else. The facility has just been renovated and has a nice bar and lots of televisions with sports on them, if you're interested in that. The staff is friendly and generally efficient and really good with kids. They will speak Spanish to my kids and then translate for them. The kids really get a kick out of it, and learn a little something, as well. Plus, my daughter says a number of the waiters are REALLY good looking. I can't say I've ever had a bad meal here, and usually it's outstanding. They have really good salsa, and if you ask, you can get the really hot stuff, no extra charge. There are many Mexican restaurants around the area, but I can't think of a single reason to go elsewhere. The whole family loves this place. I'm not a huge drinker but they seem to have a pretty decent bar. The food is what you'd expect the food to be when you're paying $6.50 for a taco salad. The staff is fast and friendly. The decor is pretty typical. To be honest. It's the best I've found so far. And I've eaten here at least 8 times.... I know this because I had a card they'd punch every time I ordered. Once I had 7 punches, I got my 8th meal free (up to $6)!!!! My last taco salad only cost me $1.25!! And I'll probably fill up another card (or 5)!!! Here's the thing...it's not perfection. We're not in Mexico. But I love the guy who hands me my "taco salad to go". He loves me because my name is Emily and his son's name is Emilio. My go-to for Mexican sit down. Food is fast, cheap, and delicious. Haven't had any if their drinks yet, but they all look great. Environment is very authentic with carved wooden booths and chairs. Awesome place for lunch if you work in the area. read more

1st time coming here and was pleased. Before we could get settled they already had our nacho chips and salsa on the table. Servers were great at checking up on us and keeping our drinks filled. Food was good and priced well. I ordered the supreme nachos (I think that's what it was called.) and was not disappointed. Overall a great experience. read more

In Akron for a short period and found this place on yelp. The service was quick and attentive rating easily 4+stars. The chips, salsa and cheese dip, along with the fajitas, were 4+ stars at least. It's just tough for me to give 5-stars for food, but this place is close. We'll be back next time in Akron. read more

Quick and cheap. I have tried different items from spicy burrito, hard shell tacos to steak fajita. Decent food but nothing spectacular to write home about. It is just 'another' Mexican restaurant. I really enjoy coming to Azetca. They always have friendly fast service, the food and drinks are amazing. We have visited here many times. Azetca has now become my favorite Mexican restaurant. Azteca is one of the VERY BEST Mexican restaurants in the Akron Metro area. I have been coming here since they opened in 1999. Great food, Best Salsa, awesome friendly service, and great Margaritas. We walked in and we weren't sure if were in the right place. Outside we were at what seemed to be a truck stop but inside there was a couple with a keyboard singing jazz standards. We were seated and we ordered and everyone enjoyed their food. The portions were enormous. Not much different from Mariachi Loco's and such. Chips and salsa aplenty, and the food is served in huge portions. Normally a place like this would only garner 3 stars from me, but they have this cheese sauce that was nothing short of beautiful! After mourning the loss of my doggo (in my handsome profile pic) i decided to wander down to a hometown favorite but quickly realized id made a grave mistake. As soon as i sat down the tables legs were lopsided and i was seated next to a dead cactus. After being moved i was placed in a small booth. I went to the restroom where apparently the most authentic thing about this restaurant were the flooding bathrooms. The attendant which i thought was odd since he was 8. I hope that he is paid fair wages or trump deports him. Anywho i gazed upon my reflection morbidly and went back into the restaurant where my food had arrived realizing that it was more like beef jerky than the juicy dinner special i thought id ordered. Soon after i decided to top off my declining dinner for dessert but to my dismay was offered no sugary deliciousness. Azteca has been my husband and I favorite Mexican joint for over ten years. Same family owners, same staff, same great food! It's always delicious and we've never had a bad meal. Plus since we've been there at least a thousand times we can attest to its friendly and cleanly service. We're regular friends now but even the first time we went they treated us like we were special. Everyone there is just trying to make a living and has great pride in their work...go eat there now. Oh yeah, I reccomend the grilled chicken soft tacos. The prices are good for the portion size and the food is good - the same as all the other Mexican restaurants in this area (they're all owned by the same family). This isn't something you can call "authentic Mexican" because it simply isn't that - it's Mexican-American and you shouldn't go in expecting genuine food straight from Mexico City. Service is consistently fast and friendly. The only issue I've run into is problems with calling in a carry-out order because it's rare that someone who speaks English well enough to take an order will answer the phone.
