Best fajita nachos I've ever had! The service and atmosphere were also top notch. I highly recommend!

We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. We've tried a lot of things on this menu and have never been disappointed. Our food has always been fresh and plentiful, served with a smile. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! This is a really enjoyable restaurant we always look forward to visiting!

The most unexpected thing however was how much seasoning and flavor they used on their chicken and other meats. Absolute game changer. The restaurant was clean and while was packed, had enough space to move around and you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of each other. Our waitress was very friendly and brought us a round of Tequila which was new to me. Overall I will definitely be back.

It's not my first choice for anything in the area and definitely not my first choice when I want Mexican. The thing about the greater Akron area and their Mexican food is that it's really not that good. All of these restaurants serve the same 'mexican'. If you want REAL Mexican food, try Carnitas and Tacos on Canton road in Ellet. Or head up to Cleveland where there are plenty of authentic Mexican food options that will absolutely blow your mind and make your taste buds go insane. One taste of truly great Mexican/Puerto Rican/Latin/Cuban food will probably change your entire perspective on the Akron food scene. For this particular visit, the salsa was good and the service was friendly and was reasonably cheap for lunch. They weren't that busy so the food came out pretty quickly and seemed freshly prepared.

One of my personal favorites is the Tex Mex Combination options. You can choose 1-5 items with a side of rice and beans on the dinner menu. If you go during lunch time until 3pm there is a reduced priced Tex Mex Combo menu with the choice of rice or beans. The Tex mex combo options include, but not limited to: tacos, enchiladas, flautas. My pictures show two of the Tex mex options ordered at our table. The one plate shows a Tex Mex 4-item: 2 flautas, 2 soft tacos, with rice and beans. The other plate shown is the pictures is: Tex mex combo 4- item: 4 enchiladas topped with jalapeño cream sauce including rice and beans. My personal favorite is 4 enchiladas: one chicken, one cheese, one beef, and one creamy seafood topped Jalapeño cream sauce. The jalapeño cream sauce is a must try. The sauce does have a jalapeño kick to it and may be spicier at various times. The longhorn colby queso dip is absolutely amazing. I highly highly highly recommend you ask for the queso to be extra hot (temperature wise). Just a tip: just because there is steam coming from the queso at the table doesn't mean it's hot to taste. Test with a chip or fork. The chips are phenomenal especially the saturated seasoned ones. Staff is always friendly and willing to give recommendations. I can say I don't think I've had a server who hasn't liked or been able to recommend a favorite. Panchos Southwestern Grille is a twist on Mexican food. If you are looking for traditional Mexican food, keep in mind Southwestern grill.

The first visit, I had the Jr. Chicken fajitas special with a fruity, frozen margarita and on my second, I had the Jr. Steak fajita special with water. The fajitas are a good lunch deal especially with the free rice and beans and stack of flour tortillas. But they are cooked in way too much oil! Please, I beg you. Stop using so much oil! I liked the meat in the fajitas, particularly the steak meat, but the beans was a bit gooey and the rice was a bit too hard. The tortillas were delicious and the seasoning they put on top of the chips are a 10/10! The amazing service from Amanda on my first visit and Rachel on my second was what pushes this average Tex-Mex restaurant from a 3 star to a 4 star experience!!

This place was actually becoming a regular occurrence for us and where we'd suggest family and friends visit. Saturday Date night we visited after traveling the past few months and we were so disappointed we got up and walked out. What was once a local cantina with great food and drinks is now another restaurant with an identity crisis. Service was good as always but what was a one page menu and a few specials is now a front ad back, beer menu, cocktails menu, and nothing looked good. The menu is clearly Latin-inspired with a heavy emphasis on tacos, but they aren't afraid to stray from tradition and try unconventional combinations of ingredients. Some traditional options they have are Puerto Rican budin dessert, Peruvian chicha morada (purple corn drink - not my favorite, but worth trying if you've never had it - one of our party got it), and some aguas frescas, including passionfruit, which my wife opted for. There's a variety of salsas and guacamole. Fun for some, but if you're getting hangry and just want something fast, it can be a bit much. We also got some house margaritas for the table - not bad but nothing to write home about. I got three different tacos - the Great Lakes Beer Battered Walleye, which was nicely cooked, as well as the the Flank Steak Banh Mi and the Shrimp tacos, both of which were okay. Two folks in our group are vegetarian, and Crave offers a few vegetarian taco options like the vegan chorizo taco and Impossible burger, but you can swap out any meat for a plant-based one (there is an upcharge though). The bathrooms were clean, but kind of dim. The soap dispenser was positioned super high so my 7 year-old couldn't reach it to wash his hands and I imagine someone using a wheelchair couldn't either. Our waiter was nice, but sometimes disappeared for a long stretch. For as busy of a night as it was, I'm guessing that's to be expected. The prices are okay, but add-ons and variety of things to try means it can add up fast.
