I hired Pagan Colors to design a logo for my new luxury home construction company. Before the project started, I completed their questionnaire and provided multiple examples of the exact style I wanted: elegant, minimalist, timeless branding inspired by luxury home builders and architectural firms. I paid a 50% non-refundable deposit expecting the design process they advertised. However, the logo concepts I received did not reflect my design brief, the examples I provided, or the luxury brand identity I clearly requested. Instead, they looked like generic construction or mechanic shop logos. I spent considerable time providing detailed feedback, additional references, and clear direction in an effort to get the project back on track. Rather than working with my feedback to deliver a design that matched the original brief, I was told I would have to pay additional money before they would make significant revisions. At that point, I lost confidence that they understood or intended to deliver the brand identity I hired them to create. I ended the project, lost my 50% deposit, and was left with logo concepts that were unusable for my business. I am considering disputing the deposit with my credit card company because the services provided did not reflect the agreed-upon design brief. In my opinion, the company failed to follow the design brief, ignored the references I provided, and requested additional payment before delivering a design that reflected the agreed direction. I cannot recommend their services and would not hire them again.
