Upon transferring my friend there it took them 2 weeks before they even started physical therapy in the mean time the clock is ticking on her benefits. The food was barely palatable. Canned vegetables, over processed meats and delivered cold to boot. Tell me how can you make scrambled eggs taste bad? They managed. Their physical therapist are the only bright and shinning area in this place. Kudos to them. Nursing staff is rude, inconsiderate, lack an ounce of compassion, care or concern. To sum it up, I wouldn't send my worst enemy there.

He was frequently called the cutest old man and told he had a great smile from multiple staff. There were wait times for certain treatments, but the staff was busy. The treatment was great, but what impressed me more was how my mom was treated. The job of the staff is to take care of my dad. But they were so incredibly caring towards my mom and family. Big shout out to Alexia. She comforted my mom all the time with words and hugs. When he passed, so many staff went out their way to hug my mom. Not generic "sorry for loss," but with love and tears in their eyes too. They took a horrible time for our family, made it just a little bit easier knowing we could trust them with my precious dad's care.

That is not the case for Phoenix Mountain on Tatum. The nurses like nurse Barry and nurse. Tristan are amazing. I can't say enough great things. The rooms were clean. The food was fantastic. OK there was a couple days a couple meals are weird, however, 90% of the time the food was phenomenal! When I was there, they had a fantastic chef! The physical therapy team outstanding, the nurses aids or the CNA's down to the housekeeping crew we're incredible. They kept that place immaculate. Although the nurses are overworked, they need a raise and they need to have a one nurse per hallway!!!!! then it will run so much smoother for the nurses. The nurses worked their buns off! and I am so appreciative of that and I am so grateful! I cannot tell you how pleasantly surprised I was of how great this place was!, the people that lived there and that were in my same situation were awesome. My room was lovely. I overlooked a fountain and had lots of sunlight and I had my own bathroom. My roommate was incredible Patricia. She's a 93-year-old blind woman who is the most interesting person. She was awesome, again the place was fantastically clean! It looks a little old older, but it makes up for everything of how great the nurses are and the care is, it was great. The food was great. They even have an area outside where they had a big barbecue and we had hamburgers and hotdog for everyone and they have tons and tons of activities. If that's what your people are into, they had games they had workouts. It was incredible. I can't say enough good things and I'm only in my 50s and I was so surprised but so grateful! I also did have a loved one who stayed there and she had a good experience there too!, so take it from me, I was just there the last day of February 2026 for an entire month until April and I cannot say enough good things about this place! My daughter was transported here this evening from the hospital. She broke her hip and had surgery…read morein mid-Sept. They sent her to Honor Health rehab in Scottsdale. It was wonderful...she did so well and had intense therapy every day including weekends. After 2 weeks she was ready to go home. The day before she was to leave..she heard a "pop" and they discovered another bone in her hip broke. Back to the hospital. The next day the surgeon removed the prosthesis and put in a new, longer one. The case Mgr at the hospital where we wanted her to go for therapy...we said back to Honor Health Rehab in Scottsdale...her insurance denied it. I tried everything to get them to change, but they kept denying with no good explanation. So..we were given choices abd we chose North Mountain Rehab. They transported my daughter, who is disabled, mid-50s, at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening. She called to tell me she was there and the room number. I went straight to North Mountain only to find out she wasn't there and no one knew where she was. I called her cell..she thought she was at North Mountain. I told her to look around and she found something that said Phoenix Mountain! So I went there. She was in a room by herself. There was 1 nurse who was frazzled and said she'd come in and talk to us but never did. I found another young woman who worked there..very nice. I told her there was nothing in the room that my daughter needs...no walker, no commode, no wheelchair, etc. She said nothing would happen until she was evaluated by physical therapy...I asked when that would happen..she was new there and thought it wouldn't be before Monday. My daughter needed to use the bathroom...and did in the hospital..but there was no equipment nor enough help to get her there. She was informed she'd have to wear a diaper! Needless to say we are both very upset..it sounds as if she's going to have to just lie in bed until Monday and will get no therapy until then. It appears this is more of a understaffed nursing home than a rehab center...there is no one to call and nothing that can be done until Monday at the earliest. This has been a horrible experience.

They are a small company (which I usually prefer) and do not have the resources to deal appropriately with insurance and billing. Those in charge of administration are not well equipped to do their jobs adequately and (at best) you will suffer financially for their inadequacies while attacking your personal character. There are a lot of good resources out there for families with needs and the last thing a family with medically complex children needs is unexpected medical bills for services they were promised (multiple times) were covered both through AzEIP and insurance. If you are looking into Sunrise Therapy Services, your family has medical needs. You likely are overwhelmed with all the medical appointments of one or more of your family members. You need a company that helps you reduce your mental/emotional/physical load. Based on my experience, Sunrise Therapy Services will only add to those (sometimes insurmountable ) burdens. You do not need a company that does not have the resources to adequately do their administrative duties; you need a company that has a great history of communication and is able to take care of billing issues before they become big issues. Because this has not been my experience with Sunrise, I cannot recommend them. 0 stars - look elsewhere.

I have been to many surgery centers and this place is one of the best ever…read more I was scheduled for an 830 procedure and fully expected them to be running g behind, especially when I saw how many people were waiting. I was wrong. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient and got me checked in within minutes. The staff here is beyond amazing! Jelly, the tech who took my vitals and started the process was a doll. She was extremely sweet and very helpful. I had 2 nurses: Kristine and Tracy. I cannot stress enough how wonderful they were and how very good at their jobs. No one is ever able to get an iv started easily, and Kristine got it on her first try! They made me feel comfortable and alleviated the stress. Also, Eric in Anesthesia listened to my concerns and responded accordingly. If I ever have to have another procedure like this, I will definitely want to use this facility. Thank you all so much

Also A LOT of their sterilizing procedures are conducted by uncertified techs that work in radiology and often not handled/ cleaned/sterilized properly. Please be careful because if you end up with any type of infection make sure you find out the history on the trays/equipments used in your surgery and who signed off on running it through. They also falsify paperwork so it's also hard to know what's real or not. This place is shady and does shady things all the way around..

The therapy from Sateva (sp) and Fredrico was amazing. They pushed him and encouraged him daily. We wouldn't be home without them! The nursing staff was mostly great. As with anywhere there were challenges. Mostly night staff when I wasn't around. Big shout out to Gabriel, Gedo and Yesenia! They were the cream of the crop! NP's Tami and Jasmine were awesome too! Not to end on a sour note... admin work/staff fell short. We got our admission papers on day 11! Felt like the case manager Anita may have been on commission. NP's were wanting us to go home but she wasn't finding the resources to make that happen. Disappointed but it all came together at the end! All in all a good experience and outcome!

They masked the fact that his infection was spreading. He was rushed back to the hospital with the infection spread to his bloodstream and his kidneys were failing.
