Some of the employees weren't wearing masks inside the office you have to enter to pay either and they weren't helpful or knowledgeable about the prices. I doubt I'd return. Dead Wax Records located in Hampton Bay, California on Main Street, is a wonderful new record shop…read more They offer both new records for sale. And used records. I also found out from Jeremy, the store owner, that they will buy your old records. And if you have some records to donate they will accept them as well. This can be pretty cool, especially if you opt into taking a store credit instead for something else that you might see in their bins that you want. They do have a listening station in the store. So if you're buying one of their used records, you can test it out and listen to the quality. Their listening station is very nicely set up with a quality turntable, preamp and headphones. If you have an old record and you're not sure how to clean it up because of some deep dirt and dust in the grooves, Dead Wax Records offers a record cleaning service to deep clean your old vinyls with care. Dead Wax Records also has cleaning supplies available for purchase so that you can clean up your own records. My trip into Dead Wax Records today on July 4th and was awesome. Not only did I see several things that interested me in the bins. Sarah also took my search request for another record that was not in stock. So if like me you look for something and couldn't find it, the staff at Dead Wax Records will be more than happy to take your request down along with your contact information and search for it. If this is your first time in trying to locate Dead Wax Records they are in the same mini mall area as the Zabala House, fongtown toys , and Full Hearts Arcade and Eats. Directly adjacent to Full Hearts. Parking is generally easy on Main Street in Half Moon Bay. But some days parking can get crowded. Especially during the weekends and holidays. So here is a parking tip for you. Park in the back of the mini mall instead of on Main Street. There's a decent parking lot back there. And as a bonus when you park in the back, you're also closer to the front door of Dead Wax Records. Do I recommend Dead Wax Records? HECK YEAH! I totally recommend this shop! It's nice to have another place that can be a source for both new and old vinyl. Looking forward to a more visits in the future at Dead Wax Records. And to my fellow American brothers and sisters HAPPY 250 United States! HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! no
