Went here for a prom dress for my daughter. Some of the employees were nicer than others when we first went to look. All the employees are very young. One was kind of rude. But my daughter found a dress that she absolutely loved and the dress was beautiful. Alterations were done there and yes it's quite expensive between dress and alterations. This place was great for dress shopping. My daughter tried on so many dresses & fell in love with one but unfortunately it wasn't THE ONE. But, the owner was the sweetest & the girl helping us was so nice too. Giving this place 4 stars because they over booked the appointments & my mom & I had to stand for almost the entire appointment. At one point we just sat at the corner of the stage. It was warm since we were wearing coats & uncomfortable having to stand for an entire appointment. My advice is to make an appointment during the week & dress light in case you have to stand. Otherwise, they're not pushy with purchasing dresses which is a plus. The store has moved to inside the mall from the corner shop outside. Went looking for Mini-Me's SR prom dress. After trying on 10 maybe more dresses, we found 2 we absolutely love. We are gonna give them thought and make our decision. I can't say enough about how friendly, patient and understanding the staff is here, from floor sales and assistants to fitting room associate's and manager/owner. Like I said previously, we tried to look elsewhere, not sure why we even bother! we simply cannot find the same service or class at other formal stores like We do here. read more

BEWARE! This store owes me $390 and will not pay me. I exchanged a dress for one that was $300 less and they did not refund the difference. Also, they added $90 to my bill for a corset alteration when the dress did not have a corset at all. I sent the owner, Howard, an email that included my receipts which verified that I was owed $390. Howard stopped returning my phone calls. Please do not support people like this. It's really a shame that this can happen at all. I'm told that their are new partners in this company which may be the reason for what happened to me. We had a terrible experience with our prom dress purchase. We picked up the dress we ordered and it was not made the same way as the sample. Several staff admitted there was an error from the factory (cups were two different sizes) but the seamstress denied it and said she would charge us to fix it. The management was horrible and rude. It must be under new ownership because we had a very different experience when we purchased there last year. We went directly downstairs to Trendz and had a great experience and the staff was very helpful. Do not waste your time or money at Azaria! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. Bought my dress from here in November 2023 for my January 2024 wedding (they were aware of the time restraint and the last minute planned wedding assuring us that they would be able to do everything for us in time) and was told it would be in within a month with the additional fabric to make custom sleeves on it. At that time of sale we were told the alterations would be included in the price we paid. Dress came in end of December and was delayed by 2 weeks, no fabric came with it. The fabric for the sleeves (the whole point of buying the dress from them) was never shipped. Was told the fabric would not be in until January 10th. My wedding was January 27th... I was informed as well when picking up the dress that management of the store had changed and that anything that was discussed with the previous management would not be able to honored and that there was nothing they could do about the sleeves. Then quoted me $1500 for the alterations through a third party company they partner with. Seamstress was also extremely rude. They ordered the dress in a size too big so it needed more alterations therefore more money for them. Took my dress to Trendz who quoted me at half the amount for alterations than this shady business. When the fabric came in finally it was extra fabric cut off from the train of another dress and was not the 2 full yards that was discussed and paid for at the point of sale. After multiple attempts to contact the new manager we spoke with her and she insistent that there was nothing that could be done and if we needed more fabric it would have to be paid for which was insane since we paid for 2 full yards of fabric and did not receive what was paid for. She finally decided to order new fabric for me after my mom got involved and mentioned letting people know how terrible the experience has been. The extra fabric finally came in 10 days before my wedding. They have many dress options but customer service is what makes or breaks it for me and they caused me so much distress in this process that they assured at the beginning would be an easy and seamless process. You could not pay me enough to purchase anything from these people ever again. Go literally anywhere else. No like the prices were better anyway. read more

I never give a negative review. but this time, it's impossible not to. we have ordered at least a dozen dresses from this store for 3 daughters over the past decade. they recently changed owners or management, and the new management says that the problems with our orders are due to the old managers, but as a decade's long customer, I've only ever had trouble with them since they changed management. 1. I ordered my daughter's sweet 16 dress in February 2023, and they promised it would arrive by August. it didn't arrive until the end of October. but it was the wrong dress! and they gaslit me and insisted it was the dress I ordered! it was a very unpleasant experience. I had to negotiate with them to compensate my daughter for the wrong dress (no time to get the dress we actually wanted). 2. my eldest daughter also ordered a dress that was more than a month late. then we paid for the alterations, and when we went back to pick up the dress, the breast pads were sticking out, and the dress was significantly shorter in one side than in the other, the bustle was wrong, the straps were u even, and the list can go on and on. again, they insisted it was all in our head and there was no mistake made. and charged us $100 to fix their mistakes! meanwhile, the customer who was also in the store also had the same problem and was yelling at the women working. the manager spoke to me on the phone and basically told me she didn't care that the alterations were crap and I still had to pay for them to fix the mistake that their drink seamstress made. what a shame. this store was a gem. now it's always empty. customer service is trash. you expect better when spending $3k on a dress but this place thinks that customers are stupid and they can just treat you badly and you'll come back and spend more money. They lost the measurements for half of our group. 4 of the 6 of us came in and the tux didn't fit correctly. Buttons popping off at the event. Pants ripping at the event. I ordered my dress 4 months prior to my event being told it would be here in 3 weeks but didn't receive it until just a few weeks before. They never updated me on my dress I had to always reach out first. No communication with the staff, all my calls went unanswered and when I did get through they always said they would call me back and never did. Well what can I say about this place?! I wasn't expecting to find my wedding dress; well my first dress I will be wearing on the big day. I always wanted to check that place out in the freehold mall, and choose to give it a chance. Which I am glad I went with that place because it made me a very happy person. The services there and the people there were such a great help with everything I needed help with. They are always nice, willing to help, and made it easy on me to get this done in a good amount of time. Yes it took little long to get things going but it was all worth it in the end. I will so be coming back for more outfits from there, and for my bridesmaids & friends/family. PETERS TAILOR are the BEST in front of JC Penny's on the upper level I have used them for over 20 years for all my alterations, hems etc. They put the correct bra cups in & hemmed the dress correctly worth the extra money to have my dress done the right way . so now the alterations cost the same as the dress after all said & done. My experience at Azaria Bridal's is very similar to the other one star reviews. While they may have a great selection of dresses, that's where the "positives" end. Customer service is awful. They never called when they said they would (e.g., when the dress came in, when the first round of alterations were done, etc.). The alterations were also a complete nightmare...alterations that were discussed at the first fitting were never made, and those that were made required corrections. I would NEVER go back here.... And, I would suggest if you do purchase a dress from this shop, do you NOT get your alterations done here. ALSO...Don't just look at the overall rating for this shop. Please DO NOT go here. I never write reviews but I had such an awful experience at Azaria Bridal. I had a sample dress I liked online shipped to Azaria Bridal by the designer for a fee for me to try on. When I went for my appointment, the wrong dress was waiting for me in the dressing room. I told them this is not the dress sample I ordered and they apologized with confusion and took it out of the room. Then NO ONE proceeded to tell me what was going on for a good 15 minutes. The consultant tried to help me look for other dresses in the meantime but I was so confused and in the dark about what was happening that it was difficult to focus on anything else. Eventually they told me they found the dress. I tried it on and said YES to it! This was in July 2021. I scheduled my first fitting for April 2022 when the dress would arrive by. At this appointment the seamstress pinned the dress, we discussed a hemming as well and adding cups. I then scheduled my second (and what I understood to be my FINAL fitting) for the last weekend in May 2022. My wedding was June 11, 2022. When I arrived at this appointment they told me my dress was "not ready" and they needed more time. They asked if I could come back later that day to which I replied no, that's why I made an appointment for the time I did. I did agree to shop around the mall while they made it a priority to work on the dress. When I came back, they showed me to a dressing room and left me there. I unzipped the dress out of the bag and started to put it on, then I realized that it was still pinned all over. When I finally got it on it seemed as if nothing was done the month it was sitting in the shop and then it was scrambled to have something thrown together in the two hours I was shopping in the mall. I was upset and really confused. Ultimately I was told that I would have to make another appointment to come back for the finished dress. I live an hour away, and work full-time so the only opportunity was to come the following weekend June 5. On June 5th my fiancé dropped me off at the mall for my appointment and yet again they told me the dress was "not ready." I spoke with Howard, the owner, who said that it appeared someone had accidentally marked my dress as completed when it was not. At this point I was almost ready to break down in tears. I asked him how this could happen?? As owner he should manage this and check on the dresses, for upcoming appointments. I have an appointment and I expect my dress to be ready at that time. Not to mention this is the second time I'm being told it's "not ready." Howard offered to have me try on the dress and they would see if all the pinning is correct still and then they could ship me the dress for free when it's finished. Remember - my wedding is in ONE WEEK. I said absolutely not; there is no way I trust this establishment with my dress anymore, especially to handle shipping it to me. I told them I am not leaving until my dress is finished. I proceeded to wait 4-5 hours while clearly my dress was being rushed to be finished. When it was time to try it on for the final time, the experience wasn't filled with happiness anymore - I was angry, upset and emotionally drained. With the dress obviously being rushed to be finished there were details not quite right, loose threads, beads missing etc. I waited and waited until it was fixed. I even had to cancel my plans I had later that evening in order to fix this situation. When I decided the dress was satisfactory they put it in a garment bag and I went to the register to speak with Howard. I told him my disappointment with my whole experience and that I was not paying for the alterations. Howard told me, "You like the dress and it's finished right?" so I have to pay for the alterations. (I had to paid up front but wanted some type of reimbursement) I told him I need some sort of compensation for this extreme hassle and unprofessionalism. He offered me with attitude $100. He then proceeded to tell me that his employees had to stay after hours to finish my dress and how is he supposed to compensate them if he reimburses me. I KID YOU NOT HE SAID THIS TO ME. I told him that it was his business that made the error in thinking my dress was done when it was not, that if it had been finished AT MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME, then his employees would not have had to stay overtime. That I feel for the employees but it's not my problem and as business owner he should manage this better to avoid this. Ultimately I had to haggle and was so tired of everything that I walked away with only getting my hem for free. It was really difficult to get past the whole experience and the way I was treated the week leading up to my wedding. I'm writing this to help other brides not go through what I did. PLEASE take your wedding dress elsewhere for alternations. This place is so unprofessional and they clearly don't care about your time and money. I will never shop here again read more

My daughter and I entered Azaria in the Freehold Mall to look for a prom gown, she had a dress formed in her mind, but would she be able to find it in reality. This Azaria location has a Midsummer Night Vibe, as if someone sprinkled magical pixie dust and this section of the Freehold Mall came alive with color, shine, shimmer, and life. Each dress held its own story as individual as the person wearing it and she was there to find her story. We were warmly greeted by Mixie and Ranndy making suggestions, assisting with fittings, and be the perfect guides to find "it" the dress that made all others pale in comparison. Hundreds upon hundreds of dresses share space within these walls, ideally suited for the tall, short, fitted, formal, full, and most of all the ones that work with "the spin". We met Howard a kind and outgoing true gentleman dressed impeccably who was there to share more about this wonderful location while my daughter changed into yet another breathtaking gown. Once we found the gown she'd been dreaming off, alternations were quickly and painlessly (always nice) measured as we left excited about our purchase as well as finding this jewel in the Freehold Mall. We absolutely LOVED Azaria Bridal. We wanted to go here because they allowed us to have a group of 6 (bride, mother of the bride and groom, plus my bridesmaids). Most other bridal shops in NJ won't let you have that many people in a group together but it was a fun experience for everyone. We booked an appointment online about 2 weeks in advance and it was very easy. When we arrived we were given a huge viewing area with plenty of chairs and couches plus a giant dressing room. They let us bring champagne that we brought plastic flute for. We had our own bridal attendant Aurora who was so kind and patient. I tried on about 20+ wedding gowns for about 1-2 hours as I really didn't know where to begin. Every single dress was gorgeous! They also have price tags too so you can judge if you need to go up or down with your selections. All of my bridesmaids tried on a handful of dresses too which was a really nice experience for them. Overall I recommend this place 10/10. They were so accommodating, friendly, and their dress selection was amazing! read more

Do not waste your time with their tailor and overpriced merchandise!!! I bought my wedding dress at Azaria which was very expensive - they have an in-house tailor that they use who completely RUINED my dress. I came in for 4 fittings and each time was disappointed more - I truly wish I would have gone somewhere else right away but as this was my first time getting married I didn't know what to do or where to turn - they very much took advantage of this. They charged my an absurd amount of money for the tailoring (which they did a horrible job with) and were completely unhelpful - did not listen to me at all but didn't mind taking all of my money and charging me for every minor thing. When I voiced at every fitting that the dress was WAY too loose and not fitting me appropriately, they told me that it looked fine and it will give me room when I sit down!! It looked like I was wearing a tarp...baggy, bulky, and completely misaligned. My wedding day would have been ruined if I had not found another emergency tailor to fix the terrible job that was done by Azaria's tailor. The new tailor removed tons of material that was just left on the dress - she explained how Azaria's tailor basically didn't know what she was doing at all. What a waste of time and money - a hugely stressful experience for something that is supposed to feel positive - especially with how much money was spent!! read more

The selection of dresses here is extensive. We found something we liked for a sweet sixteen. We needed to pay 100% in advance in order to place the order, and they promised to call in a few weeks when the dress arrived. 1. Nobody ever called. I called them, v and was promised a call back. 2. Second call never came, but I was assured the dress was in. Call back for an appointment with av seamstress. 3. I called back for appointment with seamstress. Different clerk said no appointment was needed... Just come in because seamstress is always there ... But wait, dress is not showing in the system. Someone else said.. It's in the back ... This started me thinking that we may not have gotten a new dress because there were multiple samples of it the day we ordered it, one in her exact size. I have no proof either way. 4. The sales woman insisted on using cup inserts. She gave them to my daughter. She said the seamstress cuts them so they won't show. The seamstress said that never happens and went in search of the correct cup size and color that was in stock in the store. 5. Seamstress kept changing her mind between sewing in boning or taking in the dress at the waist to improve the fit. We finally agreed yes to cups and waist extra alteration, no boning to avoid discomfort. 6. We paid almost 200 dollars for a hem, tuck in waist band, add a ribbon of sequin ($20) and the cups. 7. On the day of try on: There were 2 bones seen in one side and one inside the other!!!! They were crooked and didn't belong there. The waist was ALSO TUCKED AND THE CUPS WERE INSIDE And Crooked. I flipped and she ran into the back and took a scissor and cut open the lining to remove boning. Told to come back next day to pick up dress again. Also, the back stairs were 2" too long so the neck and back straps all had to be recut and resewn. 8. *The best* During this fiasco, iv decided to try on a mother of the bride gown that was on sale rack. I screamed as an inch of a 2 inch needle or pin penetrated my hip from the inside of the dress. Blood everywhere. One of the sales people ran for alcohol, gauze and Band-Aids. My daughter wanted to photograph but I was embarrassed of my excess waistline so i refused. 9. The day we picked up the dress all went smoothly. 10. A week later we uncovered the dress to prep it for the event the next day. The waistband was falling off in 3 places . It was apparently glued, never sewn, and the glue let go. I called the store and offered to drive over at 8pm. Manager told me seamstress left for the day vv then had me hold on while she audibly told seamstress to come in at 10 a m next morning to fix my dress. Really??? 10. I showed up at 10. The store remained closed until 1025 am. Workers were sitting outside, including a different seamstress who was told to come in. The young girl in charge of opening was embarrassed but said she was never informed of our appointment. I waited about 20 minutes for the dress to be sewn. The event was that same day. Out daughter looked stunning... But it was NOT worth the stress and effort to work with these people. I strongly suggest that if you must but your dress here, you do so and then TAKE IT TO TO YOUR OWN SEAMSTRESS OR TAILOR. I will never darken this doorway again. I was here this past Sunday for a friends wedding dress try on. The entire experience was horrible. We had an 11am appt and were all standing around until about 11:30 because the stylist wasn't able to give any help. My friend has tried on multiple dresses and kept saying she liked certain tops with different bottoms, the stylist didn't pick out a single dress for her to try on. Only the bridal party was giving her dresses to try because we didn't have any other help. While trying on one of her dresses the manager came into the fitting room and told her she needed to hurry up. She did find a beautiful dress on her own that she loved! It was on display in the store. After trying the dress on she was told they might not be able to get it. Why bother having a dress on display if you can't order it?? When she did say yes to the dress there was no sign or bell that a previous friend had experienced in the same store. I tried to express my concerns to the manger on duty and she was very dismissive, saying she had to over see the prom dress try ons. Why make an appt if there is not an appropriate amount of staff to accommodate? She told me someone stole the bell a few days prior. This store in located in the mall with a dollar store, why not go buy another bell if you know you have bridal parties coming in?? The entire experience was a disappointment. read more

I've had the pleasure of renting a tuxedo for my son from these lovely people at Azaria Bridal 2 years in a row. Always greeted with a smile! When I say always, I mean, when we order, when we pick up, and when we return. So yes, only used them 2 times, but that's 6 visits, and I am always happy when I leave. I referred a few people, and I must be honest, there was an issue with 1 of my friends when picking up. However, I was there and witnessed the owner and his son going above and beyond to do whatever it took to make my friend happy. Turned out, there wasn't a problem after all. 2 orders were put in and he found her the one that was all good. I would recommend anyone looking for great, personal service to go to Azaria! This is a wonderful store! I ordered and purchased my Reception gown from them and my Mom purchased her MOB gown. My Sherri Hill gown arrived lightening fast, within 2 weeks of placing my order. I placed my order in Jan for my July wedding. Ultimately, my gown required altering and customization. I was informed to come back in May to start alterations. I had them change the gown from a column, chapel sweep to a high-lo with a chapel length train. Due to the busy season in which I was getting my gown altered, it took a few weeks to complete and 3 visits to get it right. I just picked up my couture gown and I am so excited to shate with my friends and family. My Mom did the dreaded "let me order a dress from China and waste money, time and add unnecessary stress..." Oy-vey! Thankfulky Roger and his team, less than 60 days to my wedding, found her a dress in store they could customize for her (plus size) and have ready in time. While picking up my dress this past weekend, I overheard them accomdating a Bride who was getting married in two days and wasn't happy with her online order from China dress. This place caused me so much heartache and tears over my wedding dress... I strongly do not recommend buying your dress from here. It started out great which is why I ended up buying my dress here. Luanne helped me find my dress and she is amazing and sweet! Prices were within budget and plenty of gorgeous dress styles. But then it all goes downhill.... Once they have your money its over. My dress took entirely too long to come in, I had to reach out to them multiple times and they kept pushing me off, telling me "It will be here in two more weeks" I eventually went to the store and I was told my dress was in the back in a box from china and they can't get it, come back next week. Unbelievable! My dress was in the building finally and I still couldn't see it. When my dress was finally unboxed I went to try it on. There were strands of black hair between all the tulle layers, I was so off-put and grossed out. I was reassured it was just hair from the person who made the dress. Thats still ew! ( I wonder if they actually forgot to order my dress, and gave me one off the rack... ) I then took my dress home, puzzled as to when I come back for alterations. I felt rushed out, no one from staff spoke to me about scheduling fittings or anything... A few months later I came back for alterations. I was dumbstruck at their pricing over $600 to alter it. It was more than half the cost of the dress?! Before I paid for the dress I had asked for an approximate cost for their alterations and I was given a number of "about $275" so I did not see such a high number coming. I took my dress home and never looked back. I was able to find kind help elsewhere and my dress is finally cleaned, hemmed and gorgeous, NO THANKS to Azaria. Awful! Not sure how they're still in business. I needed my dress altered there, they charged me for a mistake they did wrong. I told them that they were wrong and told me they couldn't help me anymore! I have this wedding in 7 days! They gave me the run around for about an hour saying they could see what they could do at the end of the day they suggested another place to help me. At first, I was intimidated by the associates and the size of the store. However, I eventually warmed up to Iris and the environment! She lets you look around the entire store and doesn't give you any pressure!! Iris gave her honest opinions and helped me solve any conflicts that got in the way of buying my prom dress. Couldn't thank her enough! The store really does have a variety of dresses; though they are a little pricier, it's worth the visit bc you will find your dress! read more

Don't waste your time and money. This store doesn't even deserve ONE STAR. In order for me to post this I had to hit something. I am just coming on here to inform you all to NOT go to Azaria Bridal in the freehold mall. The owner, Howard, is absolutely AWFUL. And I regret ever setting foot in the store and giving him the business. To keep this story short and to the point....I got engaged Dec of '21 and getting married next Saturday, June 11th. I am very aware I had a short engagement and time was not really in my favor. I go to Azaria Bridal and they had the dress of my dreams and I ask if a big navy blue bow can be added, they said yes. This was back in early January, January 14th to be exact. The owner, Howard, told me the dress will be here in 8 weeks. Sure enough it did not arrive until May 21st. I go for my first fitting that week and the dress fit perfect, just needed hemming (THANK GOD) and I ask, "where is my navy blue bow?" I get told it's not done yet but it will be done in time for the wedding. I was not happy but what was I going to do, the dress had to be hemmed anyway so they told me the next fitting it will be done. Welll GUESS WHAT my next fitting was just two days ago and the bow was not made AND THE MATERIAL WAS NEVER BOUGHT FOR THE NAVY BLUE BOW. Extremely unhappy, this bow was paid in FULL back on January 14th. Being lied to is my number one pet peeve. This bow should have been made prior to my dress coming in. My gown should have been completed for my first fitting. The owner kept using "Prom season" as the excuse. I don't want to hear it, Prom season started a few months ago not back in January when I bought the dress. I went back tonight with my dress fitting perfect and my bow made......FINALLY. The bow needed another clip in the back because it was sagging a bit and the ribbon needed the be cut slightly (it was to long in the back) so I ask the seamstress if it can be done and she said "absolutely easy fix no problem" so I ask Howard when can this be done and he looks at his "imaginary watch" and says well we have 10 days left so we have time. He doesn't take ownership for anything and he does not go out of his way for his customers. I insisted I take my dress home with me tonight with my completed bow, I was completely fed up. He got extremely loud and said he doesn't appreciate my dictating orders and me telling him when it'll should be done.....Well I wasn't backing down. Sure enough, I was told to come back for 8:30PM and I picked up my beautiful big navy blue bow and he tried to apologize but this man is not a genuine person and at the end of the day he does not care about his customers. So if any of you actually took the time to read my bridal dress experience please save yourself the headache and DO NOT set foot in Azaria Bridal. It is not worth the aggravation and stress that Howard puts on the brides. read more

My daughter and I went to Azeria for her prom dress. We couldn't be happier with the service. The dresses are beautiful and the salespeople are just wonderful. Prices are good and the alterations are done beautifully. My other daughter got her prom dress here as well. Would definitely recommend this store. read more

Just came here bridal dress shopping with my sister to be while she looked for wedding dresses. The staff was great we had Louanne helping us she was amazing. Super friendly and clearly loves her job. Gave us lots of suggestions and advice and kept this experience here really fun. I will return here again when I'm looking for formal attire they have a really big selection for both men and women. read more

I wish zero stars was an option. I was beyond mortified leaving this apt. I started my apt with a woman named Ron/Rahn (I can't remember) and she pulled dresses for me and was mindful of my budget and had asked me on maybe 2-3 dresses she pulled if it was ok it was a little over. All was good until I went to try dresses on. Randomly another consultant came out of no where, frantic ranting about what a busy day they had. I don't know her name- Can't remember if she even introduced herself because she went straight into nonstop talking. She was middle aged, had a fake eye I think. Let's call her Karen for the sake of me explaining. Karen followed myself and the other consultant into a large room to change. I was instructed to put my clothes on a chair and while Karen got my first dress ready to put on. First off- neither consultant asked if it was okay if they were present while I was changing. Not a big deal though- whatever I'm wearing full undergarments so I didn't care but still. Then getting in and out of every dress Karen was rough not only with the dresses (ripping them on and off the hangers, stepping on them, man handling them) she was rough with me as well. Throwing me in and out of dresses as fast as possible, clipping me in right, pinning me quickly (I ended up leaving and found a sewing pin left in my hair that's how rushed she was), and she scratched my back at some point(I can't even remember it was a blur). Meanwhile both consultants are hounding me about dresses ive tried on, where I tried in, how much were they, when they said they can get me the dress, if I liked any, etc. Also- the MOST DISTURBING PART of my changing room experience was Karen somehow unbuckling my bra without me noticing (since she was so rough with me with other dresses) and then trying to take my ENTIRE bra off from underneath the dress saying I can take it off to get the feel of the backless dress so i can picture it properly. to which I promptly told her no, that my bra will remain on my body. HOW DARE YOU TAKE SOMEONES UNDERGARMENTS OFF WITHOUT THEYRE CONSENT! At this point I blacked out and was barely coherent. Then after being man handled in the changing room and interrogated, I'm thrown in front of my party of friends/family and asked a million times what I think of the dresses, my party crying over the dress, and me checked the fuck out because I'm so damn uncomfortable that I couldn't have anywhere near a bridal moment. My party also had no idea what was going on every time I went to the changing room. Also, On the first dress and most dresses after They put a veil and forced me to hold this god awful plastic fake flower bouquet despite my numerous protests. (Given corona you would think they would eliminate any unnecessary touching of items) While were speaking of Corona- Karen was very vocal about her political views, spoke about Murphy and his plans like they were best friends and repeatedly told me I can take off my mask because "it's just us here" which I refused several times. At this point the other consultant was taking a back seat and not really into the apt besides telling me I should buy whatever dress I was wearing. In the end I only liked two dresses which I couldn't decide between. I asked if they wrote down in their system which ones the were. Karen said "oh you took pics you just bring those pics in and I'll remember which ones"... no offense but I don't trust that so I reasked and she said "fine I'll take a pic of this dresses number and put it in your chart for later, you liked this one better anyways" like oh okay guess you're making the decision for me so I can't figure out what the other dress was. I didn't care at this point. You may ask why did I even stay to the end if I was so uncomfortable. Well I'll tell you that I was maybe in and out of the dressing room actually trying dresses in for 40-45 min. All of it happened so fast, I was trying to please my party and trying to just find my dress. I didn't realize how disturbing it all was until I left in tears explaining the events to my party. read more

What a wonderful prom dress shopping experience! We were greeted as soon as we arrived by Howard. He was great and very helpful. He made sure we had what we needed the entire time we were there. He made my daughter feel special. The rest of staff was nice too. She can't wait to go back next year to shop for senior prom! read more

I never write reviews. However, with what happened to us, I feel compelled to write one. My daughter's Sweet 16 was scheduled for September 2020. Due to COVID restrictions, we could not start searching for a dress until July. Everywhere else told us we were limited to what was on the racks, Azaria assured us they would be able to get us a brand new dress ordered in her size. My daughter found the dress she loved and we placed the order. It went with her theme and we then based everything else around this dress- my dress, the room colors, my husband's attire, etc. Due to COVID AGAIN, we were unable to have the sweet 16 in September. Azaria called us in August to say that the dress was in and asked if we were coming to try on and pick it up. I asked if they could continue to hold it because her sweet 16 was postponed to April 2021. In March 2021, we postponed the sweet 16 to June 2021. We went to Azaria just to make sure the dress still fit because my daughter gained some quarantine pounds. I admit I did not inspect the dress. My daughter went into a fitting room w a consultant and tried it on. When she came out I noticed some beads were loose but I was there for the fit and didn't inspect. She took the dress off with the consultant and we went home. Again, we left the dress there. We returned in May and once again my daughter tried on her dress. It was a disaster. There were make-up and sweat stains inside the dress. There were small food stains on the outside of the dress. Tons of beads were missing, her crinoline and tulle were ripped, and the arm accessories were stretched out. It looked like someone wore the dress for a night or two and returned it. If not, it looked like the dress was used for a floor sample while in their possession. I spoke with the owner who said he would dry clean and repair the dress. His assistant blamed my daughter and said she must have done it trying it on and that the beads probably fell off being stored there so long. My daughter is immaculate and does not wear foundation. Under the arms on the insides was full of sweat and foundation. I told the owner that while he attempted to repair the dress, I wanted a brand new one. Now even though I ordered in July 2020 and was able to get it delivered by August 2020, now ordering in May 2021, I couldn't get a new dress until October 2021!!!! I called every Mori Lee retailer I could possibly call from the designer's website. There was no way I could get a new dress. My daughter was in tears. Azaria's owner's answer to me was that if they could not get the dress corrected to my liking they had tons of other dresses to choose from! Seriously? A whole sweet 16 centered around this dream dress that my daughter adored and we were just expected to pick out another dress off the rack??? I finally got ahold of a Mori Lee retailer in Connecticut who confirmed there wasn't enough time to get a new dress but gave me her cell phone number and asked me to send her pictures of the dress. She agreed that this dress could not have been damaged so badly just sitting in storage and that there WAS NO WAY my daughter could have soiled the dress like that from trying it on (which I knew already). She told me that she had an expert bead seamstress at her shop and that if Azaria couldn't or wouldn't make the dress perfect for me then I could bring it to her in CT. I went back to Azaria and looked at the repairs. There was still so much that needed to be done. I went through the dress inch by inch having the seamstress put a stick pin wherever the beads didn't appear symmetrical and seemed missing. My husband also analyzed and looked over every detail of the dress. When we came back next visit there were still missing beads and small stains. After back and forth to New Jersey, I finally took the dress home from Azaria THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE MY DAUGHTER'S PARTY. I even had to wait in the food court after my daughter's final try-on because there were still bead issues. I finally took it home because it was "good Enough" and it was almost closing time. I needed the dress and there was no choice but to take it. They offered me no discount for my trouble or constant commute to New Jersey. They offered no apologies because they denied fault. I will NEVER step foot in that store again and I have made sure to let everyone know what happened to us. I will be visiting that store in Connecticut who offered to help a complete stranger who didn't even buy the dress from her store. read more
