Like most retail experiences in America, Kohl's has undergone significant deterioration in the past decade. I used to regularly shop their men's department for casual wear and through some sort of alchemy involving a jumble of coupons and shopper credits a good deal was generally my reward. However, this system is maddeningly inefficient and prevents any sane human being from ever paying their obviously inflated full price. Well, that fiscal insanity must have caught up with them since they closed down the Lawrenceville store in the thriving Nassau Park Pavilion mall a few years ago and at the Howell store that I have visited occasionally, merchandise quality has cratered. Yeah, the tags still say Ralph Lauren but the shoddiness of material and construction are more consistent with his third cousin Rolph Lowrent - to stay afloat they are obviously trading out first-line merchandise for third rate filler. I got the mystical 30% off coupon and along with my $50.00 Kohl's cash I was out the door in a flash, driving at a mind blowing cruising speed of a sonic bullet at a whopping 25MPH through my residential neighborhood to get to my Kohl's. To buy some birthday stuff for my son and some summer stuff for the Hubb's. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. I am not sure what is going on at this Kohl's, short staffed or hired people who just don't care and those that do, simply cannot do it all? It was about 9:30am when I walked through the doors, I started heading to the young men's dept and passed the men's dress wear section-holy smokes did no one- NO ONE do any folding or putting the shirts by proper size together in the cubbies during the day or before they went home last night? These shirts are not cheap they were out of the bags, many unfolded, some tossed on the floor or just shoved into the cubbies, not uniform at all. I actually felt obligated to stop my shopping and fold some and put them back properly. I moved on to the athletic section UGHH again - how do you find anything? I got a few things and then made my way to the manly man section and I about had a fit! they have a sale but you can't match anything to the little electronic "Price -O-Meter" on the racks because the shirts and shorts are not even the same brand on the racks. Store security had to be going nuts and watching me like a hawk- going back and forth- I even went to my happy place "textiles & kitchen" to chill for a few, but even that was a mess before I went back to the trenches. Now you think I was flipping having problems finding stuff for my husband, I felt sorry for the the poor guy wandering this same section as me, looking for his size in shirts and slacks- simply ridiculous. Does Kohl's have any idea how much they lose in sales because people just get frustrated and give up? I mean they are making a lot of money don't get me wrong but when a customer walks out empty-handed.. that's money lost. The saving grace was my wonderful cashier, she gave me the gift receipts for each of the items, then took the the current 20% on top of my 30% off of my total, so yes I was happy with that and of course, she gave me back even more Kohl's cash- JUST when I thought I was out!! Basic Kohl's. Had a great clothe selection, at decent prices. Good variety of styles to choose from. Store is clean, but the store is big like any other Kohl's, so it's a bit harder to navigate, which is why I never give Kohl's 5 stars. Staff is on the ugly side. Never smiles, and never ask if you found everything okay. The line was a little confusing at first. because it looked like in was a complete loop. However, a staff member gladly helped me, even though it still felt it was in a loop. This is a good store, with great prices. read more

It's a basic kohl's store with everything you would expect. A wide range of clothing beginning with young kids all the way to adults. They have toys, and jewelry section as well. Also a makeup and perfume/cologne areas too. They have household items too with their respected departments. It's great here! read more

A year ago I would have given Kohl's a higher rating but they've slipped a lot in my eyes. The store is usually very messy, although I get it's tough to keep up with customers who toss things everywhere. You can get some awesome deals here if you rummage through. My biggest problem is their sales where they offer Kohl's cash (which is VERY frequently). Used to be they would honor Kohl's cash even after it expired. The last time I went there I was 2 days past the expiration date because I had been on vacation. They lost my business that day when they refused to honor it. read more

Very good sales . 9/10 times I get a very sweet cashier checking me out and they always take returns . Even if you lost the reciept and you took the tags off (as long as you have it on your card your fine ) . read more

Been doing business with kohl's for over twenty years, Green Bay, New Jersey, always treated us ok. E-commerce unreliable. Website was jammed up and we couldn't put in correct shipping address. Customer service told us no biggie, cancel order and resubmit and we're all set. $95 UPS 5 day ground to Salt Lake City from two day free. Sorry, feel bad for you but can't/won't do anything. read more

Prices are decent but not enough salespeople and some were just plain rude. A lot of the clothing is not in the proper place or marked wrong. If you have time to browse and are looking for cheap prices then this should be fine. Ample parking read more

They need to hire better cashiers. Today I had a lady probably in her 60s-70s raise her voice at my 1 year old baby for crying and yelled no. I didn't want to cause a scene and my baby was upset so I just grabbed my receipt and left. He was literally crying for 3 seconds while I grabbed cash from by pocket before she yelled. Kohls Brand Rock & Republic "RRJaggedBlack" Shoes I have to admit... I fell in love with the way these shoes looked when I first saw them. But let me ask you this... Should some style and flash make up for extremely poor craftsmanship? The answer is a huge NO. These shoes fell apart after just 2 WEEKS of normal light casual wear. The rubber came away from the rest of the shoe all the way around the bottom sole, the upper part, and the toe cap of the shoes. Mostly anywhere the rubber connected to the rest of the shoe material... it came apart. I had to crazy glue most of the shoes back together. And... I think that the description on the shoe box which states: "Coveted for its distinctive design and quality craftsmanship, the legendary style of Rock & Republic is made for the spotlight. Rock and revel." is just a big lie. These shoes are nothing more than cheap, Chinese made garbage. The kind of quality you might expect to find at a knock off flea market. (I've actually found better quality shoes at places like that.) I feel ripped off and extremely displeased. I will NEVER buy shoes from Kohls ever again. On September 3, 2016 I visited the Kohls store in Howell. I am considered a valued customer and I do spend quite of bit of money on a monthly basis. I had 2 kohls cash certificates, one for $30.00 that expired on August 21st, 13 days later and one for $20.00 that expired on August 14th. Unfortunately I was away on vacation and over looked my kohl cash! I approached the customer service counter and asked if they would honor them. They wouldn't budge. I totally understand not honoring the one that expired on the 14th, but the 21st - 13 days later either? I was pretty upset. It wasn't a coupon it was money that I was rewarded for spending. Also it wasn't months later it was a couple of weeks. I just remember when they did extend things like this. I feel that the customer service truly went downhill and I am reluctant to shop here anymore. I think with people's bust schedules it would be nice to extend these offers, especially to valued customers that spend a lot of money. I am VERY upset they wouldn't honor any of my $50.00 in kohls cash. It will be a while before I go back!! read more
