From my first visit to now, the front desk staff have been welcoming, incredibly kind, and always take the time to thoroughly explain any treatment plans, insurance details, or questions I have. Dr. Azar is also hospitable and knowledgeable; he cares about his patients and pays attention to the details. I have been seeing Dr. Azar for a little over a year now, and he has treated me for several fillings and crowns. Every time I visit, he makes sure I am comfortable at each visit, and I always leave feeling well taken care of and confident in the quality of care I received. Worst dentist I have ever visited in Bay Area! Very unprofessional! Booked appointments months in advance. But when I show up for the appointment, they said it is cancelled. No email, call or texts mentioning cancellation. Drove over 5 miles and wasted whole morning just to know that our appointment slots have given to some one else. Also, beware when you try to cancel, they will charge you for no show indicating their cancellation policy! read more

Cancelled our appointment. Azar Dental, even if you have requested to confirm an appointment with us this does not give you the right to cancel our appointment. You have a cancellation policy, If we did not call in to cancel then it does not give you any right to cancel our appointment on your own. It's absolutely absurd to cancel our booked appointment in less than 24 hours of our scheduled time. Your receptionist called the evening before our appointment and I had schedule that weeks in advance. Regardless of your excuse that it is the holiday season, you have no excuse. I can't recommend them enough. I started as a patient of Dr. Azar when he worked for another office before starting his practice. He was patient and attentive before and you can tell his attitude is shared by the staff because every time I go it feels like everyone there is part of a family. To give an example, no one was willing to offer invisalign. The orthodontists I met required extraction, surgery and braces but a long wired jaw recovery wasn't an option for work. After the topic coming up a few times, Dr. Azar understood the situation and came up with a way to make do with invisalign and now two years later I have a proper bite and no more tooth wear issues. I have had a loose crown on my implant almost 2 years ago which my previous dentist could not fix after several months of consultancy. I was referred to Dr.Azar by one of my friends due to my frustration with the ongoing implant and crown problems I have had for so long. On my fist appointment Dr. Azar provided me my options and a solution plan and fixed my toot the next day with a 40 min proceedure. He just made this whole experience so comforting and smooth that I really wished I had seen him much earlier. I have been seeing him as my general dentist since then. I really don't like to leave negative reviews unless it is justified. Dr. Azar seems nice and advertises to have years of dental experience. Unfortunately, his dental knowledge is outdated and his dental skills are borderline between incompetence and malpractice. I had serious complications after being treated at his office so I had to go get it fixed somewhere else. My new dentist who fixed his shoddy job told me it was not done right from the start. For another second opinion, I went to a third dentist who was highly recommended and well regarded in the dental industry, he also confirmed that Dr Azar did a crappy job. Amazing place. Very clean. Belma from front desk helped me a lot for suitable appointment. After appointment she explained what my insurance is covering and not covering. She gave me a lot of valuable advice which I didn't know that before. This is for sure that she knows her job very well. Dr. Azar is so gentle and knows his job. My previous experiences were always bad. I got a crown from my previous dentist and there is a huge gap between my teeth. He will fix that crown later on. I need to replace my all previous fillings and one cavity needs to be fix. I told him that I cannot use Amalgam fillings because of the cancer soar. He told me that he will use composit one instead of Amalgam which is cosmetically better. By the way his assistant lady took my all teeth pictures and x-rays and show me the detail of my cavities and problems. Next appointment he will start fixing them. I rarely write any reviews and I felt I had to write this review and be transparent with my experience at this dental office. I was very disappointed with my experience today at Azar dental during the COVID time we are in. There was no safety protocol whatsoever, the space was open with a patient on my right side and left side. There was about 7 patients in the room with their masks off and no walls or partitions. Only 1 private room and it was occupied. Upon arrival, the receptionists took my temperature and didn't ask any screening questions. They were running late and I had to wait 1/2 hour to be seen. This is not something new. I was put in this position at my previous appointment. I don't mind the wait but seeing the lack of safety is something disappointing. There were patients waiting the waiting room and a couple came in with Starbucks drinks in their hands, inside the patients rooms drinking. Shouldn't there be a no food zone inside the patient area? I had a dentist appointment for my kids yesterday and let me tell you, Little Sprouts dental office in Brea set the bar high with their COVID safety. I felt safe! Not only do they offer private rooms with closed doors, they provided a wonderful and unforgettable experience. When I addressed the safety issue with Azar dental, their response was "our building is old." This should not be an excused, you are responsible for the patients and their safety and you are responsible to make the patient feel safe by providing safety equipment such as partitions for each patient seating area or closed curtains. This office lack COVID safety and it was a let down. I made the right choice to cancel my appointment for myself and my husband and walked out of the office and I will never go back to Azar dental again. read more

The dentist office is never a pleasant experience, but this is probably as close as it can get. Dr. Azar is really patient and gentle and so are the staff. I ha e in the past got bonding, filling, deep cleaning and wisdom tooth extraction from him and I've barely felt any of it. It was the smoothest procedure I could have asked for. Dr. Azar maybe calm as a person, but his advice and dental skill failed miserably at calming the nerves of an unsuspecting patient in the long run. I used to see him when he was working at a dental group in Santa Clara. His knowledge and dental skills are outdated and subpar at best. In fact, they're outright dangerous to patient's long-term health. Shoddy dental work aside, he talked me into making the life-long mistake of putting in toxic amalgam fillings by assuring me there's no risk whatsoever in my mouth. I was not even informed of other options or the Pros vs Cons of the alternatives. Over time, I developed chronic health issues as a result. Later I found out from other doctors that amalgam is extremely neurotic and can cause neurological issues, autoimmune disease, chronic illnesses and mental disorders. In 2001, the US National Health and Nutrition Examination surveyed 31,000 adults and found that the number of dental fillings correlated to the incidence of cancer, mental conditions, thyroid conditions, neurological issues (including MS), diseases of the respiratory system, and diseases of the eye. After reading this, Dr Azar might finally come out of the stone age, but it's is too little too late for all the damages already done to his past patients. Ignorance maybe a bliss to the layman, but to a health professional, it is simply unacceptable. read more

Wow how can I briefly summarize my experience with Dr Azar? He is just amazing! From the moment I talked to him over the phone he gave me such hope and comfort. I have to get a tooth extraction from a trauma and I must say it has not been easy to sink in that idea, but Dr. Azar explained everything very thoroughly and all the steps after the extraction. His office is so cozy and beautiful and the staff is just super friendly and amazing. He has top notch dental equipment and is super knowledgeable in his area. He is very attentive to his patients, has great sense of humor and I couldn't tell you how happy I am to have him as my dentist.
