I, 28 F, 1st appointment ever as a new patient to get a TB test and an annual physical. Without introduction first, I walked into the office for the appointment, met the doctor who was late because of traffic, without her introducing herself to me she went behind the desk to login and saw me and recognized I was her new patient. She didn't properly introdyce herself to me. She looked at me and said my hair looked fake. I was offended because we just met and you're my new doctor. I said no, but she asked again if they were extensions. I again said no, then she said everyone's hair is fake these days. She took me to the office to do checkup and history. She asked the normal questions like drinking, smoking, etc. But when she asked about sex, I told her no, I am not sexually active right now and haven't been for a while. She judged me and asked why, I said because I don't want to and respect God. She didn't believe me. She asked is it because your husband isn't around? I said he is. I live with him. She still couldn't believe me and asked how often we have sex, told her we don't. She said ever? I said not for a while. She said "You're too young to not be having sex." She asked if his private parts worked. I said yes. Asked if he was aggressive, I said no. Asked about my last pap smear and said it's been too long. She schedules me for a pap smear without my consent. Went over scheduling my TB and blood tests to be done the same day. I was ok with that. She then just abruptly left the room without explanation. When I checked out, the nurse said I had to fast 8-12 hours for the blood work in the lab. The doctor never told me I had to fast for the test and didn't ask about my availability. So I fasted for 8 hours to go the same day before they closed. The next appointment comes for the day of my pap smear. She went over my results saying I was normal. I recently saw online that they offered self collection for a pap smear. I asked the nurse for that first and if they didn't have it, then do pap smear. The nurse told me to undress waist down and lay on the bed with my white napkin draped over me. When the doctor came in without explanation or procedure, she just pulls up the stirups, I asked what about the self collection? She just said yeah and without warning after putting my feet on the stirups, she didn't ask me to move down, and yanked hard on my legs towards the end of the bed. She lightly placed a small amount of lube on me and without warning, just shoves the metal speculum into me, I said ow!!! She continued to aggressively force it further in. She said relax! I said wait, I need to stretch out my skin to help because it goes inwards causing more friction. But then shoves it in again without being slow or gentle. I said ow! and kept telling me to relax while pushing on my belly. She forcefully cranked it open, shoved the qtip into me, and then aggressively felt for lumps with her fingers. I kept saying ow! the whole time saying it hurts. She took the speculum out, showed me I had a small amount of blood on it and found a small benign polyp. She started laughing at me after hurting me and said "You're not normal, I'm only using 1 finger and you're in a lot of pain." I told her the metal speculum hurt and she went too quickly, she said "I have to do it quickly to get it done." She thought I was faking the pain. I started to cry because she wasn't listening to me. She asked me if I was in actual pain I said yes, it feels like a pinching sensation. I was still half naked and she berated me over my sex life saying I should have sex 2-3 times a week. I told her that I follow God and don't want to have sex. She said "I don't think it's that, I think you're just in a lot of pain and you don't want to have sex because of it." I told her many times that it hurts down there during sex with every sexual partner I ever had, not because of muscle spasms. She kept asking the same exact questions about my husband and our sex life. She was upset about my pain and said "You just never had deep sex before and no one has ever went deep enough" I was shocked and appalled. She reccomended me a sex therapist. I started to cry more from being unheard. She said how 1 finger shouldn't hurt and even 2 was impossible! She diagnosed me with vaginismus and vaginospasm and asked me if I was ever sexually assaulted before or raped. The doctor assumes my pain is fake and a fear of sex, not true. I only clench when I am in pain. She showed me a google website of dilators to open my vagina more over time working my way up to the biggest one. I said how would that help my pain? She told me I should masterbate and stick my own fingers down there. I told her no, that's not my concern. She wouldn't stop laughing and said a sex therapist could watch me and my husband have sex since I wasn't normal. I only came for a pap smear. She left the room, I got dressed still crying and heard her complain about me. After, I was bleeding and felt unheard. read more
