I would give negative stars if I could. We had a home inspection from a Jeffery Garay on Saturday 25th. We were not home at the time of the inspection. Mr. Garay needed some guidance from us the t-stat. I called him to explain how to use the t stat. Seems he was fustrated and had attitude "I am already behind" he said.. He didn't want to listen what I was trying to tell him. He started to fustrate me with his attitude. After the conversation was over and he didn't get the ac to turn on and left with the inspection unfinished. That is just one of the issues, the other is that when we arrived a home we noticed a burning smell and that it was soo hot in the house. Both ovens were left on all day at 350 degrees. And the ac was left in heat mode. We have a small dog in a kennel for the inspection. Our poor dog was panting and very dehydrated. We are very lucky we came home when we did. The house could have been burned down and this could have killed our dog. If Mr. Garay was an experienced inpector he would leave everything as he found it. I will never alow anyone to come into our house again without myself or my wife to watch over the person. You will have to cordinate with our schedule from now on. read more

I am the seller of a house Jeffrey came to inspect. Jeffrey came into my home and was rude to my agent who was here on our behalf to make sure the integrity of our house stays intact. Instead he lied saying the buyers didn't want him there when in fact the buyer's agent said they were fine if he was there. Regardless, Jeffrey kicked him out. Upon our arrival home from work, I found lights on, my side gate unlocked, door between the garage and our house ajar, and the toilet in our master bathroom detached from the floor. The toilet had a wax ring replaced the week before and it was attached the floor, stable and in workin condition when we left for work that morning. When my husband went to take his shower the next morning, water was gushing out of the bottom of the faucet. Again it was not like this when we left. We had a licensed plumber out a while back and he replaced it so it too was working fine before this guy showed up. He also accused us of trying to cover up water damage in our dining area by painting over the wall. We have not painted anything in there since we moved in three years ago, you can clearly see brush strokes to see the discoloration is paint, the wall is hard and dry indicating no water damage, and there are settling cracks in the corner which would not be there if it was just freshly painted. He also refused to fix anything he broke afterwards. Of course it's only his word because my realtor was not permitted to be in the house according to this guy. That's sketchy already. I would not recommend him at all. read more

Couldn't be happier with Jeff and the job that he did. I spent a day price shopping for home inspections, and looking at Yelp reviews and finally decided to use AZ-home tech. It's a one-man show and we absolutely loved working with Jeff. He scheduled our inspection for 9:30am and was at the house, and working before I even got there. He allowed us to shadow him through all of his inspections and was VERY thorough, took pictures of everything, explained what he was looking for, what the acceptable tolerances were for every item, and his opinion on how necessary the repair was. He also helped us Gauge how much each item would cost to fix. Our report was ready for us that night, via an online portal that was easy to use and easy to download as a pdf. It included all the pictures he took, explanations for everything and his recommendations. Honestly....this dude rocks. We really enjoyed working with him and felt very comfortable with his assessments and opinions. He charged us $275 (-10 bucks for paying in cash) to inspect the house which included a pool with water features and a built in fire-pit....and another $49 dollars to bring along a pest control company to do the termite inspection. Best price I found, very friendly and knowledgable, easy to work with, easy to schedule and we got exactly what we needed. I would obviously highly recommend this company for any home inspection you need to get done. read more

Even though I've only bought two houses in Arizona, it's easily apparent the difference a quality home inspection makes on the largest purchase of your life. I'd recommended Jeffrey for everyone's home inspection! He's very diligent in his work and walks you through anything you have questions about. I cannot describe in words how impressed I have been with Jeffrey and AZ-Tech Home Inspections. I have now used this company on more than one occasion and have been so very pleased with his ability to work with my scheduling, his pricing, and most importantly his thoroughness! I am a super type-A personality and I've had bad experiences with lesser inspectors previously so I was naturally suspicious of a new person I must rely so heavily on without evidence I could trust him. When I asked my Realtor for her most detailed home inspector she said to call Jeffrey and described "his experience and reports are phenomenal!!!" and she was so right. He is the best! I did a complete 180 turn in the first few minutes. Turns out he is not just a top-notch inspector, he's an overall great guy with genuine interest in helping me be satisfied with my house decision. Buying a house is such a big decision and I wanted to make sure I learned everything I could about the house and so I explained when I called him that I'm very Type-A, very detailed and I will have a ton of questions. He didn't even flinch and agreed right away to have me there. This immediately told me he is a very experienced professional with nothing to hide and he wasn't planning to cut corners if he was willing to let me shadow him during the inspection. The first time I used his service, he checked everything, even things I never would have thought to check--he even tested to make sure the countertops were secure and went over every inch of the house. He answered ALL of my questions. Turns out the first house I wanted was a ticking time-bomb of major repairs that the seller tried to hide and cover with all new carpet, flooring, add-ons and new appliances, but Jeffrey was so amazing he found a long list of problems and helped me avoid what would have been the most COSTLY MISTAKE of my life. (After reading the home inspection report, the seller practically begged me to buy the house just to take it off their hands). I am SO GRATEFUL that he found the hidden foundation issues, among many other things just waiting to go wrong. I can't thank him enough for his honesty, integrity and for being on MY side! The second time I used him was on a house I really liked in a different part of town. He pointed out even the simple things like a door hinge that was a little loose and a toilet that took too long to fill up after flushing. These items still "function as intended" (which is where most inspectors would stop) but they weren't perfect so he pointed it out to me and included it on his report. His extensive reports are very detailed and include color photos and little arrows indicating what he saw. He went up into the attic which was hotter than our 120 degree (outside) temps to make sure he checked the A/C properly--and he found a tiny leak that was putting cold air into the attic not the house. He flagged and photographed that too. As I started with on my review, I can't say enough great things about his service. I will us AZ-Tech Home Inspections for as long as he is in business. This world needs more people and more professionals like Jeffrey. I would rely on his opinion in a heartbeat. If I can give you one piece of advice, it would be to call him for your inspections. It's the best investment you can make in deciding to buy a house or not. Jeffrey, if you read this: Thank you SO MUCH for everything you did for me and my family. You are a life-saver! Had my home inspection with Jeff. Very personable. He's methodical when checking things and isn't bothered by questions. His detailed report was emailed to me and my realtor the same day. It included lots of pictures and even some examples showing detailed images of how things work. The gas was shut off to the property so he couldn't check the furnace or hot water heater. After the realtors sorted it out, Jeff drove back a few days later to check these things AT NO COST TO ME!!! Highly recommended! read more

Jeff was real friendly and personable. Unfortunately, it's not a personality competition. Buying a home is the largest asset one will ever purchase and I expect a thorough detailed inspection, which I cannot say was received. But simply put, you get what you pay for! Everyone was more but I highly doubt I'd be receiving the actual report literally 10 hours after completion and paying, thirty minutes before midnight and after paying he said he was in route to another inspection. Obviously I was worried that not completing his report then and things would be left out. What do you know?! That was just the case. Several photos were left out, statements contradicted one another and didn't make complete sense and it all wasn't all discussed first hand while I was at the property. And this is understandable as another inspection was done after mine, it was nearly midnight and hardly any notes were taken while he went thru the property. For a young guy like Jeff I admire the venturing out and starting a business. In order to keep a business going there needs to be more professionalism and it should be treated more seriously as this is a pretty important 2 hours and ensuring you are purchasing a good product is the main purpose behind an inspection. Jeff left me questioning whether to hire someone else for another opinion and very confused. I'd opt spending slightly more money next time for sure to know the person I hire is taking this as seriously as me. read more
