I reached out to several tattoo shops in the Valley hoping to find someone that could assist me in restoring and cleaning up my Batman tattoo. Most artists really don't want anything to do with another artist's work and rightfully so. This is common practice and I wasn't offended at all, I just kept searching. I reached out to a handful of shops on Yelp and AZ Tattoo Asylum responded the same day advising they would be willing to assist me with this restoration and clean-up. I found the artist profiles on Instagram and decided I'd approach Isaac to see if he would be willing to assist. I went to the shop early on a Saturday and had him review my current work and then explained what I'd ultimately like to achieve. Isaac was totally on board and agreed to assist me! So the shop itself is located at 51st x Thunderbird on the border of Peoria / Glendale. It's a super convenient location especially for me since I live on this side of town. The parking lot area opens up to another larger strip mall so there's plenty of ample parking. Their shop opens at 10 a.m. on a Saturday which is nice. For some reason, tattoo shops have this connotation that the artists are in a cheesy 80's metal hair band and therefore, they open late and close early. Not the case at all for the AZ Tattoo Asylum. They're at their stations at 10 a.m. on a Saturday ready to turn your piece of art into a reality which is pretty awesome all by itself. The store entrance is clean, the workstations are clean and it's a place you can feel comfortable. After chatting it up with Isaac a couple of weeks ago, I scheduled my visit with him today. As I've already mentioned numerous times, the artist workstations are exceptionally clean, sanitary and you can rest assured you're in a professional environment. We got started right away and after a 4-hour sitting, I am so stoked with the way my old tattoo has been transformed! It is 1,000% better than it ever was! It's bright, the lines are so crisp and clean and the colors are so vivid now! Isaac killed it and I could not be happier with the way this is turning out! If you need any work done at all, please please please do yourself a favor and check out the awesome folks at AZ Tattoo Asylum! One quick friendly FYI from a fellow Yelp Elite member, their business is cash-only, however, they do have an ATM machine on site in their lobby for your convenience. That said, I would not hesitate at all to recommend Isaac at the AZ Tattoo Asylum to my family, friends, co-workers or fellow Yelp'ers! Go check 'em out!
Just stumbled across this place on my way home from another consult one day. Thought what the heck, the more opinions and options the better. Came in, looked at portfolios, and was AMAZED! Everyones work looked so good but two really spoke to me. So booked with both!! First one, today obviously, is with K-Ta, the owner. Her lines are clean, shading is amazing, and outstanding color. She has a very light hand as well. #thankful. Thigh stings a bit. In two weeks will be with Jorge! His watercolor work is phenomenal. Gave him a description of what I wanted and he is drawing it up. Rough sketch is fantastic. Can hardly wait!! Come check this place out. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff amd most importantly a CLEAN studio!!
I got my fingers tattooed by Jorge and the entire process went smoothly! I was able to walk right in, show him what I wanted, and we discussed the process. He did warn me that tattoos on the fingers are harder to maintain and there would be a good chance I would need to come back for a touch up. He showed me pictures of what it could turn out to look like to make sure I fully understood. He was very informative and wasn't trying to just take my money. We set a date and we did my tattoo and a few weeks later I followed up with a touch up. Both times everything was sterile and new out of the packaging. Overall great customer service, cleanliness, and professionalism! I will definitely be back!
Good shop, my artist I just recently found out is no longer there but my experience the first time was good. They had a clean facility. They were welcoming and the place didn't seem like one of the whole in the walls like it can appear from the outside with its blacked out windows. The pricing was fair and the quality of work was good.
Recently got two more tattoos from Jorge! Always a wonderful experience! And as always they healed quickly and beautifully !! I've been going to him for about 3 years now, I've experimented with other artists but Jorge had to end up even fixing one done by someone at a different shop! He listens to what I want and pays such amazing attention to detail, he provides such a gentle and comfortable environment and I'm always ecstatic with the outcome, I can always trust him to execute any concept I come in with perfectly
Wow!! The artists at AZ Tattoo Asylum are beyond reproach! Firstly, the artist talent cannot be expressed in words. Secondly, they follow all guidelines from masks to sanitization and aftercare advice and follow through is also beyond reproach. My artist, Jorge, not only redrew my desired ink, he turned it into the absolute best artwork I've ever seen. While being inked by Jorge, he was kind, attention to detail was off the charts, and very accomodating. Jorge not only did my now most favorite tattoo, but he also provided detailed instructions for aftercare as well as applying proper aftercare procedures while following all guidelines. I never felt at risk at the shop or with Jorge. Gloves, mask, sanitization and above all - the best artistry in the valley. Definitely choose them as your preferred tattoo studio. Thank you Jorge!!

Not only is the shop nice and clean but Jorge is an amazing artist! He does good clean work and is an easy artist to sit and talk with while getting work done. I would highly recommend anyone to go to him or this shop this picture is one of the 2 tattoos he's done for me. I will definitely keep going to him for any future work to be done I've had no issues with any of the healing or after care for any of my work that's been done.
100% hands down recommend K-ta! She is so down to earth and professional. I was a first timer and she answered every little silly question I had. She made me feel very comfortable (even though I was freaking out deep down inside) and positive about putting something permanent on my body. If you ask her for her professional advise, she doesn't beat around the bush and gives it to ya. She does great water color work. I went with something simple and can't wait to go back for more!
Hands down. 5 stars. Jorge did a 3D butterfly on my shoulder yesterday and I am absolutely in love. I will never go to a different tattoo artist. He is absolutely unbelievable and very talented indeed. I sent him a picture of a real blue morpho butterfly and he was able to duplicate the colors and details even better than I ever imagined. I loved it so much, that I went to see him for 2 more tattoos, and will never go to another artist! Go see Jorge!! You won't be disappointed :)

My wife and I felt like we created a good and forever no one with him aaa our artist now. The shop itself was great! Very clean, and just had good vibes around it. Wow, what an amazing studio! I have been getting tattoos for 40 years. I finally decided to do my arm and did they exceed my expectations. The art is amazing. The prices were extremely reasonable. I love Jorge's work but to say this shop is amazing is an understatement. It was nice, clean, the bathroom was clean, and the place had a women's touch. It was very welcoming. My husband and I both got tattoos and we both had a good experience. Mine was with Jorge and his was with Josh. We will be coming back and are super happy. read more

I've been following Jorge around since I got my first tattoo by him. His tattoo work is amazing and has held up the quality for years. The shop employees are nice and professional and keep the environment friendly and the space is very clean. I'd recommend anyone coming here for their tattoos. read more

K-ta is AMAZING!!!!! Her artwork is impeccable and she takes pride in each individual tattoo. She keeps tight, straight lines and her watercolors leave everyone admiring the tattoos she creates. I got my piece over a year ago and it's still fresh and bright. Even my husband switched from his artist to K-ta because of her expertise. I've read so many of these reviews on Yelp and IDK what happened to others who dealt with "some guy/Jorge" but I can tell you, from my own experience and my trips to this establishment that he is NOT there any longer. The staff they have there now are down to Earth and super cool. If you want awesome tribal work, see Hana. He's truly authentic. The shop is clean and safe. I work in medicine and appreciate the safeguards that K-ta takes in her shop to ensure our bodies are protected and respected with the work that is done there. The prices are fair for the exceptional work that is produced. Whether it's your first, 100th, a coverup you'll know they will take care of you and you'll leave impressed. Thanks! read more
