The hotel is beautiful and well run. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room, which was comfortable, quiet, and spacious. It's not fancy, but still conveys a feeling of luxury and comfort. If you have an option to, ask for one of the higher floors - they seem a shade nicer than the ones lower down, although everything was very pleasant.
The diminished star rating is for the restaurant service. The food was fine, although I wouldn't say outstanding. But the restaurant is severely understaffed. Dishes took a really long time to emerge - at breakfast, we allowed an hour, and were still in danger of missing our transportation (which we told them about) about 45 minutes in. And getting them to bring us the check was a monumental effort that required us to relentlessly buttonhole multiple staff people, and finally camp out at the front desk til someone showed.
