So In the admist of COVID-19 and what is happening. My family attended Ottawa on the Labour Day…read morelong weekend and stumbled across this South Asian/Indian Restaurant , we attended this place for breakfast..greeted well and we ordered such dishes. The owner and staff was very friendly. I personally wanted to try the beef patties as the rest of my family ordered hoppers, I enjoyed. If I lived here, Id be ordering again. Edit: We were hungry again at dinner time in the late evening and stopped by again. At that time, I ordered the Beef Fried Rice. Once again the meal was spot on, tasted delicious, ,the rice was fresh and the vegetables were in perfect harmony, the egg mixed in the rice made it a savory hot meal. I also ordered spicy and the beef was juicy and moist ,it was worth it, I scraped the plate. The portions were also great. As the rest of my family ordered other dishes and were satisfied as well. To finish it off I tried my first Faluda. It actually was so amazing. So all in all, I just had to write this review. If you are ever in town for a nice South Asian/Indian cuisine. This is the joint. Thank you Master. Represent Ottawa well.

Ordered biriyani, kebab, dosa and chat from this place, total bill was about 80 dollar. Brilliant…read morefood. Huge quantity. I loved the kebab the most. The biriyanis were great tasting, even my 10 month old enjoyed the dosa. Wanted papri chat, they ran out so had to get samosa chat instead. Not a big fan of that specific dish. Otherwise great first impression. Taste:5/5 Quantity:6/5 Price:3/5 Value for money 5/5 Ps: spicey really means spicy, so caution with ordering spicy. Worked out for us,might not for everyone.

I have really given this place an honest try, and had hoped it would become a favorite and regular…read moremeal provider, my spouse and I had heard great things about it. We have eaten there once and ordered delivery twice. I tried all 3 times to get a whole tandori chicken (which is listed on the menu). I was told the first 2 times that they only had the leg sections available at the time. The third time was a phone order, and I was told (after the order taker talked to kitchen) that the whole chicken WAS available this time. I was very happy to hear that. However, on receiving the order, I was very disappointed to see that rather than the whole chicken that I was charged for, with 2 leg sections, and 2 breast sections, they gave me 4 leg sections. Not my definition of a whole chicken. Since I prefer the breast meat, I would have ordered something else if they had been forthright about not having breast sections any longer. I also ordered a kale salad and got something with no kale in it at all, not the same salad as I had enjoyed while dining in at their restaurant. I called them about the chicken, and was basically told "tough luck", nothing they could do, not even a refund for getting leg instead of breast. This disregard for customer satisfaction would have earned them a 1 star review, but the food IS flavorful, so they get an extra star for that. Also, avoid the tandoori shrimp, WAY overcooked. Nicely seasoned, but shrimp should not be that tough, especially not at the price they charge. Flavor: good Price: high Customer Service: poor

This is the second time we've eaten here. The first time was when the name changed from "Chillies"…read morebut the old sign was still on the building, with the new name draped over top. That experience was a lot better than expected, and we had planned to return. Plans came to fruition today! We got the Mixed Appy Platter to start. Mains chosen were Goat Masala, Kadai Paneer. 4pc Tandoori chicken, and family size garlic naan. Hearty, tasty, beautifully balanced flavours. Spice level chosen was medium - hot enough to waken your palette but not blow your head off. Ambiance was cozy and quiet, which we LOVE. We tend to eat early, so having the restaurant to ourselves is always a treat. Staff was welcoming and hospitable.

They have a pretty good size menu, so it took awhile to sort through. We ended up with the Vegetable Hakka Noodles, Tandoori Chicken, Family Garlic Naan, Chicken Saagwala, and the Kachumber Salad. The Hakka noodles were delicious, hadn't had these before but would definitely get again, they are actually really good as cold leftovers the next day as well. The Tandoori Chicken was great, bone in and cooked perfectly. Not too spicy, even my daughter ate some. The Family garlic naan really is FAMILY sized, absolutely huge, too big for our small family of three. Really good naan, and pretty impressed they can cook one this size, it paired so well with the chicken saagwala. The chicken mixed with the greens was delicious unlike other dishes we've had, it was probably the favorite dish we ordered. Their kachumber salad was quite nice, cold salad, really fresh feeling and the light seasoning blend they add to it was really nice to balance it out. This is a great spot to get some quality food.
