What started as a very stressful situation and lasted for months due to the insanity of supply-chain madness, ended on such a sweet note. No matter the time, money, concern the outcome was worth it all. Bloomfield Construction (BC) employees were there to guide and inform us every step of the way. As is expected with large projects, issues arose but those issues were minimized due to the quick response and professionalism from the BC team. Not only did out home come out stronger, safer but thanks to the quality of the work, it came out much prettier. If you have a need to use this company's services, please reach out to them, you will not regret it. P.S. To some of the negative reviews I have read, these people need to keep in mind that BC does work with external vendors and they do address each and every concern. Some slack and common courtesy goes a long way on both sides of the isle.

Up until the contract was signed, the salesperson Gerald was great. He went above and beyond to get me samples and worked with me as I kept going back and forth on colors. I wanted to order windows at the same time, but Gerald didn't have the right paperwork with him so he told me to wait till he came out again to go through the final inspection. He gave me a quote of $500/ window since I did the big siding job. The installation went pretty good, the guys that were contracted out did a pretty good job (some spots were done halfway) but overall, it was fine. Then Gerald came out to do the final walk through and did the contract for the windows. He did a quick measurement of the windows and wrote up the contract and took my deposit. He then said it was $550/window. Not a big difference, but enough to be annoying and make me feel like he was taking advantage of me. I called him out on it and he said he was done with me and I can deal with the office. Thankfully he texted all of this so I have the proof of how unprofessional he was. Maybe 8 weeks later, I called the office to see when the windows would be in, since they haven't even measured yet. The woman who answered said that someone measured them already. I asked when and she said that they did it from the outside of the house. That seemed odd to me but she said it's how they do it and the windows will be in soon. Few more weeks later, I called again to check in and she said they were on order. Few weeks again, I called, and they finally set up the appointment. The windows get delivered and the installation guys arrive. Guess what? Wrong size windows ordered. Turns out they never sent anyone out to measure like they told me, and when I called, they realized it and they used the very incorrect measurements that Gerald took, even though the contract states that it was an estimate and professionals will be out to measure correctly. So I call again and they say that the new windows will be ordered to fix their mistake. Few more weeks go by, and I check in again, and they said they windows were in but nobody called me. By this point, it has now been months. Anyways, they come with the new windows and guess what? Wrong color this time. The original contract and the first set of windows were the right color, but this second set was white when it needed to be almond to match the window right next to it. And to top it off, the trim around the windows were damaged so I need to repaint. Not to mention that their caulking job is horrible too, so that looks like a job that I did myself, not a professional one. So yet again, I call and they apologize, and say they are ordering another set. Then the owner has the installation guy call me and say that he didn't want to pay to order more windows and would be it ok if they painted the window frame to match. Ummm, no! So they say they will order new windows again. That was in maybe early February, then COVID happened in March and it is now July and I haven't heard a thing from them and I doubt I will. I would never ever recommend this company, to anyone, regardless of the price. I don't know what kind of crooked people are running this place and what they think they can get away with, but I feel like my 8-year old is more organized than the people working there. I would have happily paid 2x as much to go with a reputable company, this place didn't deserve my business at all. Stay far away, not worth the hassle or poor job that you'll receive. Now I have to look at my miss-matched windows as a constant reminder of the poor decision I made to go with them.

By the time we found it, the carpets were under water and the baseboards were covered in mold. The team from 1-800 were there called at 4PM on Friday afternoon and were in the house on Saturday morning to contain the damage. They took total control. Folks, this is a highly professional team like few service providers I have used over the years. No lame TV commercials. No gimmicks. Just professionals in their field. Project leader Lawrence was super experienced and informative and kept in constant contact with us. This gentleman was accessible at all hours and often over the 4-week process came in on a weekend to check the progress of the project. You would think it was his own company. The mold mitigation expert, Keith, was clearly an expert and was no less informative and in charge of his area. Even the cleaning staff were professional, efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. 1-800 worked with some partner companies including Total Loss Services who boxed and removed property for cleaning and storage Moldquest, the testing company snd Amistee who cleaned the HVAC ducts to remove mold spores. These companies were in the same professional league as 1-800, highly knowledgeable and on top of their part of the work. The demolition, cleanup and mold removal took about 5-weeks and we were pronounced clean and ready for rebuild. Most of the cost was picked up by insurance. All in all, our experience with 1-800- Water Damage was top notch. So much could have gone wrong, but 1-800 Water Damage team made sure that our experience was the best it could be.

I had quite a few worries after seeing what I thought was maybe mold or even evidence of a past flood in the new home I bought, along with some other things. I have two little toddlers and not only did the possible mold worry me, but so did the chemicals until I learned more through him and research. I sent a very in depth email to Keith where he asked for a phone call with me, and did his due diligence to find out how to best help me. Without causing anxiety and panic like some mold and water damage companies can, he offered to come see my home in person at no cost to me. And was flexible about it. After looking at a lab report from my previous home inspection and seeing everything in person, he assured me there were basically no worries to be had while being totally understanding. I told him I had a new mold air testing the next day or so scheduled with a testing company, and he even checked on me afterwards to hear if the results were good, just like he had thought they would be. I didn't even need any work done yet he was there every step of the way. It's refreshing that there are companies who seem to truly care while doing an excellent job- without just scaring you into payment. Thanks again, Keith.
