I was very happy that I was able to visit as they offered many brands that you are usually only able to find online. Gotta love seeing it in person and not paying shipping, right? The store is set up by themes for the most part, but some brands are clustered together which may result in a particular product not being placed within its brand, but by theme. This can make it difficult to find particular products. However, the store staff probably asked me five times if I needed any help, but I was feeling too shy accept it. This resulted in me seeing a certain embossing folder that I had been looking for as I was walking out the door with my purchases. No problem - I did a U-turn and bought that too! Despite GA relaxing their COVID protocols drastically (as in no one wears a mask unvaccinated or not if they don't want to), the store requests that all patrons wear one. I certainly believe this is their right - their store, their rules and don't judge because you don't know their story, so please be prepared and bring and wear a mask. I could have easily have spent hours there; the only thing stopping me was my family waiting for me and they had run out of things to do in the small shopping center. There is a decent tea/boba shop that they spent some time in. Next time, I will have them drop me off while they go to Six Flags. :)

I was taken aback when I was not ever greeted. I wasn't offered any assistance as I walked around. I attempted to engage the women behind the counter when I was paying, but I felt dismissed. I loved the items I purchased, and the decorative environment is charming. I have been there twice. Unfortunately, the poor customer service spoiled the experience each time. I don't plan on returning.

The owner is knowledgeable, personable, and a huge fan of art, and it shows in his work. I came in with an oversized art print (30x40) and an idea of how I wanted it framed. He gave me two ways of framing and quotes for art glass and regular glass--no pressure to buy, just giving us the information. I appreciate that he wanted to give us options that were in our budget. I chose a floating mat and maple frame with an inch border around, and the price was more than reasonable. He completed the framing in 3 business days (!) and even helped us carry it to the car. The most impressive thing is that Eric remembers every person's art piece, without even needing to look it up. It's a personal touch that I found remarkable, compared to other shops I've been to (which were prohibitively expensive). The shop does also showcase Eric's own work which is really cool! All in all, I would trust Eric with framing any keepsakes or cherished art that you may have.

I was visiting ATL for the weekend and wanted to visit some yarn stores so the Craftivist came up in my research. I saw that they host events for people to come in and work on their fiber arts a few times a week so this sold me on visiting! When I stopped in, I was greeted and there was space for me to sit down. I even got some help on my project. It was so nice to be community with people who love the fiber arts for a little while. I look forward to supporting their business since they also ship!

I recently had a private knitting lesson here…read more The instructor begin with telling me the different types of forms yarn comes in, ie. hanks, skeins and balls along with other information about knitting. After the introduction the instructor picked out a wood circular knitting needle for me. The reason for choosing the wood I was told it would help hold the yarn better for a beginner versus a metal needle. When it came time to choose the yarn I was told to make my choice from a small area. I picked a mustard yarn. The next day I received an invoice from the store because I didn't pay for the items. Silly me. I assumed because I was only allowed to pick out from a certain section that it was included with the lesson that I had paid for. Unfortunately, because the yarn I chose was quite small. It has been difficult as a beginner working with it. There have been a lot of starts and stops which I would expect but more so because of the size of the yarn. I have since learned as a beginner I should have a bulkier yarn. When I left that day, I had not gotten the hang of the cast on, or the knit stitch. Five minutes before the class was to end we had just finished casting on and that didn't leave much time for the knitting since the store was opening. Since taking the class I have been able to get the hang of the cast on and the knit stitch thanks to Sheep and Stitch on YouTube. I think the reason I didn't get the hang of it in the store was because of the teaching style. It just didn't mesh with my learning style. I would definitely recommend the classes to anyone here. Very professional staff. Because the yarn I ended up purchasing isn't good for beginners. I did call the store to see if I could exchange it, but I was told they would not accept it because it had already been wound. The staff was very nice. They were very helpful when customers came in.
