So much fun and it's something different. Before you start throwing sharp objects around the place they give you a quick and helpful how-to lesson on safety & proper throwing methods. They then assign you to a lane where you have two targets and two axes. There's a whole point system associated with where the axe lands on the target (actually based on the world axe throwing league rules) so that's pretty cool. They play awesome rock music the whole time and there are some light drinks and snacks for sale. It's kind of hidden in an industrial park area but there are signs off the main street that easily lead you to this place. The employees/owners are also friendly and approachable. They want to help you where they can and will give advice if you're struggling or maybe not doing something in the safest way. We booked an hour reservation and that was sufficient for our family of three. Will definitely have to come back with more family and friends!!

I was looking for an axe throwing place. They have one in Upland, but there were many complaints that they don't have ac. And it being over 100 degrees, we would definitely be needing some ac. It's nice here in that they have 2 targets per lane. So you can have 2 people throwing axes at any given time. It's a good setup. The axes that you're able to use are a good quality. The actual board they use is a softer imported wood as suppose to ply wood, which would be a lot harder for the axe to sink into. It was pretty hot and musty inside. Their ac unit just wasn't able to keep up with the heat outside. They do sell drinks, including soda, beers, and water. The people who work here are pretty nice and helpful. Seems as though it's a family operation here. They teach you the proper ways of throwing the axe as well as how to improve your aim and accuracy. They have a whiteboard to keep score. As well as chairs and small round tables to sit at to take a break or watch others in your group play. It's easy to make reservations online. It was about $40 per person for 2 hours of use, which comes to about $20 per person per hour which is not bad compared to other activities (bowling, VR, top golf, etc.) Granted they don't have the different axe throwing games that the ones in upland has as well as in San bernardino. But it was fun nonetheless. I would love to come back any other time that isn't summer because it would've been a lot more fun if it wasn't so hot in there.

What an amazing place to bring friends and family. Came here with my boyfriend in a Friday night to do experience something different. Brian the owner greeted us at the front and was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had mentioned neither one of us has ever done this so he spent some time with us and walked us though. Had some beers, and laughed a lot what an amazing first experience. Super clean and friendly establishment, will be coming back soon with a group of people. I love that they have snacks, both alcoholic drinks and non- alcoholic drinks.

Great rock music

This was the first time I ever went ace throwing. It was a blast. This place is very clean, checks of the list for the moms out there. There are many safety precautions that the owner has implemented and they made me feel safe. Axe throwing is a great fun recreational social function that allows one to experience adrenaline and the joy of being reckless with out the consequences. Reckless precision. Please visit.

Went to Axe Slayers Throw House for date night. We had a blast!! I loved how they explained how to throw and took time to answer any questions. Can't wait to go back. Loved their beer selection too. Good vibes/music.

It is for sure a new fun activity worth trying out . The owner is great he gives you instructions and tips with such charisma it makes the whole experience enjoyable. The place is clean and with separate boards it feels like it's just your party there. 100% coming back :)

Axe throwing and a couple of beers = perfect way to spend an evening. Went axe throwing for the first time and the owner was so patient, awesome step by step coaching to start the session off and good tips to improve my throws. Definitely recommend!

Yes but you will have to call us to add people to your reservation.

There have been so many changes over the years to the gym here at UCR, mostly to try to better the place. They've moved things around, made things nicer, added more things, and overall improved the gym space but adding things like extra power racks and now they have a weight sled on the second floor. Service is generally friendly but usually whenever I ask the front desk for things, they seem lost or they act like they don't care about anything. Overall, I do think that this recreation center is a lot nicer than other the other UCs. Some of my complaints include that they refuse to have higher dumbbell limits, since the highest dumbbells only go up to 100. I know it's not in-demand to have them, but if students need to progress, you'd think they'd add more weights. I also don't like that they got rid of some of the leg machines downstairs and moved them upstairs. By doing that, you're making students become even more lazy from doing leg workouts more often and you've created a chicken leg epidemic! haha If you're coming to this gym from outside of the university, I believe that they have guest passes for $5. But if you're from UCR, I highly suggest utilizing this gym because it's included in your tuition.

They have any type of weight training you need, an indoor track, beautiful pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, and almost anything you need. The equipment is kept clean, and you can use the rooms to do floor training when classes aren't being held. Speaking of classes - they have people come and teach Zumba, Pilates, or again - anything you need. Water stations on both floors, and clean bathrooms on both floors as well. Sometimes the SRC gets crowded, but that's mostly after the New Years. If you avoid prime hours of working out you'll have no problem getting the machines you need. However, even if it is crowded, you'll still get what you need with a short wait time. If you're a student or have the opportunity to use this gym, I strongly recommend it!

The park is well-maintained and the city has invested a lot of money and time into keeping the Park updated and continually making changes based off of the needs and requests of the community. There have been a few changes in the past few years here. The dog park is closed but it is my understanding that the city will be reopening it again over by the gazebo area. I thought I should also add this location on Yelp for future pool seekers. I can only review on the lap swimming pool since that was what we were there for. When we initially stopped by to gather more information, the girl at the desk didn't know much details about the swimming atmosphere. We returned a few days later and talked to one of the lifeguards there and she was able to give us more details about the hours, pricing, availability, and crowdedness. You enter the pool, and apparently the gym and rec center, through the locker rooms, which are separated for men and women, which is nice. The locker rooms are big enough to change and store your stuff. They also have lockers outside by the pool. The L-shaped pool is very large. It is divided so there are four lanes for lap swimming and a general area for other swimming purposes. Bleachers, a sunning area, and lounge chairs are available for spectators and guests. Plenty of seating area, which is nice. The pool is indoors, but one of the wall is "open" so it feels like an outdoor pool with concrete covering. Quite nice, actually. You have to call and ask for pricing since I believe it might be seasonal. Plenty of parking. The rec center itself is much larger than what we expected from the outside.
