Color came off my stamped concrete within 2 years. Sergio gave me so many excuses as to why this could happen. They were all excuses! The reason this happened was because he let the cement dry too much before putting on the color so the color didn't penetrate into the cement. He promised to make it right. Several phone calls to him only to have him give me more promises. He never came through with his promise. I had another cement contractor look at the issue. He confirmed the cement was too dry when the color was applied. It looks horrible. read more

I called and your call service and the gentleman that answered was rude and insisted I know exact square footage of the job before I could even schedule an estimate. Julio and his crew at Just Awesome Concrete did a fabulous job on my backyard. At first, it was just dirt. When they finished, it consisted of nice stamped concrete, retaining walls, a patio cover with two fans and shades, grass with sprinkler system, bushes, shrubs, palm trees all on a sprinkler system where I don't have to water anything! Julio's crew was very professional and they always cleaned up after themselves. I used to never go into my backyard before Julio arrived. Now I spend most of my time back there. I live in Tracy CA. The summer sun is intense. I have used Julio from Just Awesome concrete twice, and am happy with both jobs. First was in 2012 to strip, restain and seal an existing stamped and colored patio. The acid stain and sealant used turned out nice. I just finished having him restrain the same area. The sun in Tracy is intense and the acid stain was starting to fade. This time he used a brush on non acid stain which covered extremely well. (This stain didn't exist three years ago. ) He then applied two coats of sealant which really made the color pop. Looks very nice. Three things I learned: 1. Weather has to be not to hot or too cool. Start early am. 2. Be patient and allow stain and sealer to cure for a day between activities 3. Keep your animals in the house while the stain cures. Our cat decided to take a walk on the fresh stain, and left a "trail" on unstained concrete. (Julio was great and got it up with Muriatic Acid. But lesson learned on my part) Overall, top notch job. And he's now branching into concrete etching. I'm updating our house and will likely try this on other concrete areas. Thank you Julio. read more

Called the company, spoke to a gal who was taking messages that they weren't able to come out for an estimate about a week an half out. Told her her that's fine book me as soon someone can come out. The date she had book me down for ... Didn't get a call from the concrete guy so I called the next day wondering what happened. Same lady gave me an excuse that the concrete guy must have been super busy and will call back in a a day or so to confirm. Waited another day still no call. Called them back the same lady I spoke to originally said that he had left for vacation and ran out of time to call me back. Screw this business ... you can't get your crap together. Don't let the name fool you. They do more than just awesome concrete. I called Julio, from Just Awesome Concrete to get an estimate for a small concrete pad in my backyard. He responded quickly and was very nice. His prices were reasonable, so I hired him. Within a few days his crew began working. He said he would finish in two days, but he finished in one. I was telling him that we were going to have the rest of the yard landscaped when he was finished with the concrete and he informed me that they also did landscaping. He gave me an estimate for everything else I needed done and it also was very reasonable. They had done such a nice job on the patio that I gave him the job to finish. They added another concrete patio, leveled the backyard, replaced the sod in the backyard, added sod in the front yard, put in edging and sprinklers and added lava rock to both yards. They did all of this in 2 days! And they did such an amazing job. From the pictures, I could see that they did nice work, so I trusted him and didn't micro manage the job. I was pleased with all of the little details they added without being asked. He has a really good eye and I was thrilled with the results. I could see from the pictures on his website that he does beautiful work. What can't be seen is the incredible customer service you will receive from Julio. We met just awesome concrete back in May of this year. They were booked solid for 3 months. After I did some research and checked reviews I decided to wait for them to do our work and I am so extremely happy we did. They are AMAZING. So professional, accommodating, helpful and awesome. They were there on time, on the day they were to come, did exactly as they said and cleaned everything up. It is so great to find a company that actually does what they say they will do. I had a backyard disaster at the new home I purchased. I called around to various contractors on a Saturday morning and was disappointed in the results. Some "no answers" and some voice mails, no live voices. I left messages and waited for return calls. About 2 hours later Julio from Just Awesome Concrete called. He apologized for the wait and while he does not like to work on Sunday he agreed to come over the next day to look at the job and give me an estimate. I had left 6 messages and the only other call I received was the following Thursday evening. Julio arrived on time and we began talking about what I wanted and what options I had. He was good at listening to what we had in mind and even better at making suggestions that would enhance the job without trying to change our intentions. He gave me a price on the spot and it was about what I expected. I told him I would get back to him because I still expected that other contractors would call (all I read about is the bad economy and people out of work). By Tuesday evening I called Julio to accept his offer and schedule the work. It has been my experience that if you have to chase a contractor to get a quote it will only get worse after you hire him. I believe in relationships in business more than contracts and I felt very good about Julio and the way he presented himself. He started the job about 5 days latter. The stamped concrete patio was done 4 days after they started. They installed the sprinklers and sod as soon as the concrete could be walked on. His crew was well mannered, dressed professionally and did great work. They left everything clean and neat at the end of the day. Bottom line is we are very happy with the job.
