Hands down the easiest concrete company experience I've ever had. I'm a GC and have been in business for about 10 years, pouring concrete regularly. This project was outside my usual area, so going in without any existing relationships was a bit of a concern--but Byron and his team delivered across the board. He coordinated everything seamlessly--concrete, pump, and even helped us out when my crew left tools behind in another town by quickly getting us what we needed on site. That level of responsiveness goes a long way when you're trying to keep a job moving. Super easy to communicate with, quick response times, and overall just a great team player. If I could give six stars, I would. I really wish his company was closer to where we typically work--I'd use him every single time. Also, for context--most of the reviews I saw were from homeowners. As a contractor, I'll say this: when you're coordinating a larger pour, it makes a big difference working with a true professional. I have a big concrete job in Oakley, ordered 30 yards of base mix and 30 yards 50/50 6sack for driveway, prices went up since I use them back 2021 which I completely understand (inflation) I normally use concord ready mix for over 10 years, for my construction company business, but Byron rock price was the cheapest out of the 3 company I called and they came on time, I've used Andy 2021 on a big job in brentwood and had a great experience, they came on time and the quality of materials was great! Till now I don't have any complaints of cracking in Brentwood so on this new big job I'm going with them again since I was satisfied with their materials and had no complaints of cracking in my previous job. Andy was very responsive in texting and pricing which is a plus as I shop around to get best pricing in materials. I highly recommend this company if your doing big concrete job . Byron Rock and Ready has provided me fantastic service for several years now. Their mix designs are top quality and their prices are more than fair. The big plus for me is that they also have concrete pumps. No more calling multiple places and trying to coordinate a concrete pump and concrete. Give Andy a call, and it's a one call deal. The last job that I used them on, we had 180' of hose and Saul and Raul the pumpers were awesome. They cleaned up perfectly behind themselves. Not only that, we had the Pump wash out into the Concrete truck, so there is absolutely no mess left behind. The job was left exactly the same way as when they arrived, CLEAN. Very professional. I have been buying concrete from Byron for years. They do an excellent job. Pump always on time, concrete not far behind. The concrete business is a rough and tumble industry. It is real easy for a inexperienced home owner who thinks he knows the grind and after a few You Tube videos he is a fucking expert. A prime example of this is the below review buy Vu, right from the jump he calls names like "dumb ass" and everyone knows that this type of talk will get you a trip to the dentist. I buy hundreds of yards of concrete from Byron and must deal with this industries trials and tribulations like a grown up, not some little Beta male whos 3 1/2 CY order is late, or a neighbor who is entitled to silence at 7am. Or any other lame reason to 1 star a hard working family business. You want to see what bad service looks like? Check out Kelly Ready Mix. Quit your bitching, its a hard business and Byron ready mix out performs in both service and cost compared to any other vendor in the area. Our concrete was an hour late. The guy in the office never answers his phone. The delivery guy dedicate it would ok to eat the pizza that I purchased for the guys that I hired to the finish work that had to sit for two hours to wait for the concrete to arrive. They charged me standby time for the second truck even though the first truck was an hour late. I don't recommend them. read more

PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They misquote prices and are insulting to you as a customer. No one needs that! Scott - 509-378-1033 This company is represented by a man named Andy. Andy sounds like a business man when you call and is more than wiling to quote you a price for concrete and concrete services (I asked for a concrete pump due to the majority of my project being in the back yard). I told Andy that I was putting in a concrete patio/deck in the back and a retaining wall in the front yard. I explained that I would need about 6 yards of concrete total. Andy quoted me a price for the concrete (which was adjusted later on my request) and another price for the concrete pump (here is where the pricing problem starts - Andy quoted $350 for the pump, unless I paid with cash, in which case the price was $250). Later I contacted Andy again and asked to have color added to the concrete. Andy adjusted the price by quoting the amount the color costs by yard of concrete delivered (no problem here). The day of the project - today - the pump shows up on time....the truck is a little late, but that's OK, traffic, etc., can excuse that away....and two guys show up from Byron Rock and Ready Mix. They are nice guys...but one let's himself into my back yard without even ringing the front door!! Scared the socks off of me as I was having breakfast and happen to see this guy wandering around in my closed-off back yard. Though I quickly realized he was one of the delivery guys, it would have been nice to just know he was going to be coming around the house! The delivery went well and the color was fine. I thought all was good until it came time to pay! Then, when on the telephone with Andy, the guy I am talking to says that the price is different....significantly different! I paid them and they DID NOT PRODUCE A RECEIPT for $1300 that I was required to pay. In fact, the printed out sheet that the driver did have with him and the wrong numbers on it in the first place. As he sat there doing the math over for the third time, he finally had to admit that the numbers were wrong. I had wet concrete in the back yard and did not have time to argue with them, so I finished my project and then called Andy back...I went to voicemail, so I explained to him that this was POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE to quote one price and then not even make a note to remind himself of what he offered....When Andy called me back, he told me that his guys should have only been at my house for 30 minutes to drop 6 yards of concrete and that I put him so far behind schedule because I tied up his truck for 3 hours. The fact is that they showed up late, and we were done with the concrete at 8:30....his guys then cleaned up their concrete truck and pump IN MY FRONT YARD and drove off without even leaving me a receipt. Andy told me I WAS CRAZY for thinking I could take delivery of 6 yards of concrete by myself and that he (Andy) was really having to scramble to get the truck to the next job.
