Howard is a super nice person, just not that honest. I do not recommend Ho Ho Buys Cars. He…read moreabsolutely DOES NOT PAY CASH as is plastered all over his web site. He's a "my way or the highway" guy, and his way is a certified check which IS NOT THE SAME AS CASH. If you don't believe me, ask your bank, as we did. This is EXACTLY what happened to us, so we chose the latter--not to sell to a bait-and-switch person. To say one thing then do another did not work for us. Don't fall for that. If he is incapable of knowing upon inspection or driving the car if it works (a car with only 7516 miles on it and still under mfgr warranty!--really Dude?), then he should get his own mechanic to verify that the car is near perfect. Do your own due diligence, but don't expect us to give you the car before we have the cash. That's all we wanted was to have the cash WHEN we gave him the car. He flatly refuses unless he has the car BEFORE YOU GET ANY CASH. Same time, Dude, SAME TIME. He refused to meet us to get actual cash with the car at his bank and doesn't want to use escrow either. I told him I'd be changing this review if he continued to advertise the word cash on his web site then not allow the seller to have the cash WHEN they give him their car. Again, SAME TIME, Dude, SAME TIME. Be honest, be fair. I will revert this review ONLY AFTER he takes the word CASH off his web site if all he will give is a certified check. Full disclosure: We had left the car door ajar so it drained the battery and did not start when he arrived, but we proved that to him by jumping the car that there was nothing wrong with the car. His offer, by the way, was the lowest of all we received.

What a great truck buying experience! I worked with Marco the internet sales manager. I asked him…read morefor the out the door prices on a new truck and he provided that with no haggling. Worked with Juan and Oscar the finance guys. Both are super chill and a pleasure to work with. Marco helped me set up my info center and gave good recommendations for dining in the area as we were from out of town. Would buy again from this dealership again!

Used to be my go-to. Then they started providing poor service. Background, I was a diesel mechanic…read morefor about 11 years and know when I'm being screwed/getting smoke blown by a guy who doesn't know what he is talking about (my service write). I also have health issues so I didn't have time to fix the truck this time around but I usually do all the services. Anyway, I took my truck in to SERVICE for a recall, and 2 days before the appt (on a Saturday) it began acting up. They said they would look at it during the recall and called to tell me it was a fuel pressure sensor and a fuel rail because the sensor is inside the rail (it isn't). They quoted me 10hrs book time and on 3 different phone calls insinuated that if it could be done in less time, the price would be cheaper than the $3000 quoted. I had no choice, as I needed my truck for Monday and I couldn't get the parts shipped until then. Come to find out, he lied about shaving time off the bill. They finished the recall AND the repair in 3 hours and charged me the full amount. On the receipt, the parts were insanely marked up as well. RockAuto has OEM for $100. ACDelco had it for $230. THEIR OWN PARTS DEPT had none in stock but charged $380 for it, and the receipt had it marked up to $560 so the writer could get his max commission. The fuel sensor was $150 for a $30 part. The kicker is, I had to take it back 2 weeks later because the fuel rail was "bad again". I told him it was the fact that his "Master Mechanic" had used barrel connectors on very sensitive wiring and not even bothered wrapping tape around them. He should have used a waterproof connector and/or spliced the wiring in for the fuel pressure sensor. Not the cheapest, laziest method he could think of. So when I brought it back I told the service writer and when he returned the vehicle, he said the Master Mechanic had wrapped some cloth tape around the wires. Great, that should hold in even more collected moisture once the rain and humidity kick back up. Then I had a guy cause an accident so I used their BODY SHOP. They estimated it, said it may need a new bumper but at least a tow hook, buff some paint, and a couple brackets. They were also supposed to look at the TPMS since it was reading 20psi with 60psi in the tire after the crash. No biggy, the other guy was at fault and charged with Reckless Driving. His insurance was paying 100%. When I dropped it off, they did another estimate and said it didn't need a bunch of stuff from the first estimate, "but we will check". He said the TPMS would be hard to get on the claim, and there was no way it could be related. Also he said the lines that the first estimator said would require a new bumper weren't 'bad enough' to bother with a new bumper. But they replaced the wheel well trim piece and a fog light that were perfectly fine. If the impact 'didn't reach' the tire for the TPMS, and the bumper wasn't bend enough to worry about the lines, how did it affect the wheel well trim that was fine when I dropped it off? BUT when I got the truck back, I made it 10 minutes down the road before the front tire was shaking so bad I had to turn around. It felt like they had left a tie rod off or all the lug nuts. They took it for a test drive with me as passenger, and he tried to cover his arm up when the steering wheel starting shaking out of his hand. He admitted it wasn't like that when I dropped it off (This was 2 months after the crash waiting for the at-fault guys insurance to reply, and I drive 1000 miles a week. I would have noticed if it was bad) but that all he could do is send it to the SERVICE department so *I* could pay $300 for an alignment because he had already closed out the insurance claim. When I asked about the TPMS he said they didn't even look at it. Come to find out afterwards, the crash caused enough of a shock that it was reading the right rear tire as the front right tire and vice versa. It took me 10 minutes to figure out when I got home and checked all 4 tire pressures. They were also nice enough to leave ALL the garbage and parts they swapped, in the bed of my truck. His advice to me was "Probably better find a mechanic and have them take a look at it". No problem. I absolutely will. It will not be your shop(s). You have really taken more to screwing your customers for a quick buck but my time and service will not be spent there anymore. The only redeeming quality was that the two ladies in the body shop waiting area were lovely to deal with.

That said Alec was quick to reach out not one, but twice when a 66 Coupe that I had my eye on came back as available after previous offers fell through. Once I was able to get a deposit in on the vehicle I'm pretty sure Alec was in contact at least once a day for a week straight answering questions and working through the purchase process. As other reviews mention Brad was extremely helpful with his car inspection and reporting which was completely transparent and honest. No attempt to hide anything allowing me to buy in confidence. Brad and Alec double teamed the paperwork and got it all done very quickly on a Saturday morning no less. Once the bank transfers were all squared away and I was able to get a hauler lined up Alec was there to assist with load up, on a Friday night, after closing time no less. All in all, I can't think of a better over the internet car purchasing experience. I would highly recommend Survivor Classic Car. Great folks that will take care of serious buyers.
