This BMW dealership needs help. The service advisors need to be trained on customer expectations,…read morecustomer correspondence skills, warranty contact time management, ( don't wait till 450pm to call when they close at 5pm)) Is this an avoidance technique? The dealership is very nice looking. Mechanic didn't know what a single use head bolt was and video recorded him saying when I pulled out the bolt the threads were stripped. It's a single use bolt to torque specs. Please train these mechanics and encourage them to do research. This will give confidence to customers. Service advisors need to be able to communicate better with techs and relay to customers. I hope this is helpful to upper management. Given I have been a service advisor at MBUSA and Caliber Collision over 10 years and highly successful. Team members have always worked hard when they are communicating well and sharing the repair process with the customer. You need to step up the pace and hustle. Multi-tasking is a skill that is learned. All the best. J

If you're planning to buy a luxury vehicle, you would expect luxury-level customer service…read more Unfortunately, that was nowhere to be found at BMW of Sarasota. My family and I walked into the showroom genuinely interested in purchasing a new BMW and spent about 20 minutes waiting to speak with someone. Not a single employee greeted us, asked if we needed assistance, or even acknowledged our presence. What made the experience even more frustrating was that two women at the front desk appeared more interested in chatting with each other than helping potential customers. Two other employees looked directly at us but made no effort to come over or say hello. We weren't asking for special treatment, just the basic courtesy of being acknowledged. After standing there feeling completely invisible, we walked out and took our business elsewhere. It's hard to imagine ignoring customers who are ready to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle. First impressions matter, and this one couldn't have been worse. I hope management takes a hard look at how prospective customers are treated because no one should feel unwelcome the moment they walk through the door.

I finally succeeded in finding a different advisor and booked an afternoon service( botts were no help). I feel sorry for elderly customers who must feel frustrated trying this process- never dealing with a human. Once at the dealership, situation similar to last time- still under construction but very few people demanding car problems be addressed(afternoon appointment worthwhile); Waiting area still the same; at least the leather chairs are comfortable. Joey took good care of me advising me about the progress the technician was making. Still love the dealership and my car should be good until we return in the fall. I hope the construction is finally completed by then.

This dealership is not what it use to be...total money grab. I had 3 recalls "service campaigns"…read moreon my 2022 so brought it in as it was due for 15K mile check as well (technically the car is old enough for the 20K mile check). I barely drive the car but was told that despite only driving the car 2K miles since last oil change, because it was a year since the oil change, that I was due for an oil change. I declined even though a coupon was offered. The business model is to get you on all the extras when you bring your vehicle in for routine recommended maintenance. You will be told it is all needed "to keep your car running" but my response to that is why should I have to pay 100s of dollars to keep a 2 year old, $60K car with only 15K miles running? If that's the case I should have just bought a 15 year old beater and then I wouldn't complain if I had to spend money to keep it going. This car also had battery replaced in the first year. Service told me if I don't use the car for at least a month that I need to keep it on a trickle charger....WHAT?!?! Brand new car that has to be on a trickle charger if I don't drive it every 4 weeks at a minimum or unplug the battery....huh. I solved the problem by letting the Lexus app expire so that way the car wasn't constantly trying to connect with the satellite when not in use, draining the battery. Lastly, get that remodel done. That place is a hot mess, confusing, no orderly system, and all you do is wander around a construction site maze trying to find your way to the door. It makes one want to avoid this place at all costs. P.S. never did get my tires rotated, service video showed "they were fine, no need to rotate"....imagine that. But at least I didn't get gouged on all the extras.

Put Your Pedal to the Metal... and Don't Buy From Gettel…read more Nearly three weeks after purchasing our vehicle, we still don't have the second set of keys and key fob we were promised. They claim they sent it regular mail, an $800 key fob, and the only two backup keys for the car, and they wanted to save money and have NO TRACKING for us. What should have been a simple follow-up has turned into multiple phone calls, conflicting information, and excuses. I was told the backup keys and key fob had been mailed, only to later learn they had not been sent. At this point, I have no idea where they are, and getting answers has been nearly impossible because phone calls routinely go unanswered. Unfortunately, that post-sale experience perfectly sums up what buying a vehicle from Gettel Hyundai Sarasota was like. While we're happy with the vehicle itself, the buying experience at Gettel Hyundai Sarasota turned out to be one of the most frustrating car purchases I've ever had. The process started with confusion over what was advertised online versus what was actually available at the dealership. There were two nearly identical vehicles, and sorting out which one was being advertised became an issue that complicated the entire transaction. My salesperson, Jeanine, was excellent throughout the process. Unfortunately, once negotiations began, the experience went downhill. The vehicle we purchased had previously been a Gettel service vehicle and had never left the Gettel organization before being offered for sale as a certified used vehicle. When General Manager Chris Corriveau joined the negotiations, we found ourselves debating not only the price but also the dealership's own online advertisement. The advertised price that brought me to the dealership was lower than the price I was ultimately asked to pay. We spent a surprising amount of time arguing over a difference of roughly $100-$200. In my view, I wasn't negotiating at that point--I was simply asking to purchase the vehicle for the price that was advertised online. The bigger issue involved the equipment that was listed for the vehicle. The advertisement included: * Creamy White Pearl Paint ($500) * Cargo Net ($55) * Cargo Organizer ($120) * Cargo Tray ($120) * First Aid Kit ($40) * All-Season Fitted Liners ($260) * Mud Guards ($130) * Tow Hitch ($450) I was told these items were associated with a different vehicle and that because the car was used, Gettel was not obligated to provide them. However, the vehicle delivered to me didn't even include floor mats. When I questioned this, I was told that if an item wasn't specifically listed, it didn't come with the car. Yet when items were listed, I was told they weren't guaranteed to come with the car either. That logic simply didn't make sense. After considerable back-and-forth--and after I was prepared to walk away--the dealership reluctantly agreed to provide the cargo tray and fitted liners while refusing to provide the remaining listed accessories. The purchase took nearly five hours despite being a straightforward used-car transaction with no trade-in involved. The problems didn't end after the sale. I was owed backup keys and a key fob. I was told they had been mailed, but later learned they had not been sent. Multiple follow-up calls were required, and getting answers from the dealership proved difficult. Phone calls were routinely routed to people who didn't answer and didn't have personalized voicemail boxes. The car is great. The buying experience was not. My advice: if you're purchasing a used vehicle from Gettel Hyundai Sarasota, get every promise, accessory, key, key fob, and included item documented in writing before signing anything. Do not assume that because something is listed online or appeared on the vehicle's window sticker that it will actually be included when you take delivery. Based on this experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from this dealership. Put your pedal to the metal and keep driving past Gettel.

I called on Saturday afternoon to the service center, a pleasant young lady, Cynthia, understood my emergency and made an appointment for me for Monday morning. Jason my Service advisor called me Monday morning at 8:30 letting me know as soon as our Sprinter RV was there onsite they would take it directly to the shop and access the repair. It was around noon when I got the call from Jason hoping it would not be a major repair. Come to find out this was all under Mercedes recall warranty. They had the parts available and would have my Rv back to us by 5:00. Then I received a text from the technician with a 3:00 minute video showing my my undercarriage and parts installed. He was very thorough and professional. I wish all service centers were like this. I would trust and most definitely recommend them for any repairs and service. Thank you to the entire professional staff for making this a pain free as possible
