Hey all, this is going to be a long post but I wanted to make sure that this does not happen to…read moreanyone else. As a local small business owner I do believe we all have to stick together and right now I am being wronged by another local business. I have been quiet about the situation for 2 months now, and I just can't let this go anymore. On May 13th I had Barrier Auto Glass (A company that is supposedly bonded and insured) come out and replace the windshield on my 2019 Ford F-450. They did a shoddy job, the seals were not replaced correctly and the windscreen was all broken. On top of that there was WATER leaking through it all week. I contacted them about the situation, their receptionist told me that they were having a KNOWN issue with their urethane and still decided to use it on my truck. They came out and "fixed" the leak (they did a hack job then too). I thought it was all okay so I let it go. A day later my truck began to have various shorts throughout the electrical system. I took it to a local mechanic and they diagnosed that water to the BCM from where the windshield was leaking was the cause. They sent me to Ford and Ford confirmed the cause as well. Throughout all of this Barrier Auto Glass claimed that they had insurance so there was no need to worry. When we finally started a claim Farmers Insurance also told me that Barrier had insurance and then a couple days later I found out that they LIED to me and they had no insurance. I contacted the company multiple times and asked to speak with the owner and they always dodged my calls. 2 months later they are still out performing services and meanwhile I have a $100,000 truck that is sitting at FORD NON RUNNING, that I have to continue to make payments on and pay for MY INSURANCE. I have not been contacted by the glass company and they are now going on with business as usual. Their work is NOT cheap and I thought you got what you paid for. Turns out they are just another hacked up company that has NO RESPECT for what could be someone's most expensive asset, and not only that but it is one of the most vital pieces of equipment for my company. Thanks for taking the time to read. Please feel free to share and if you are looking for an auto glass company DO NOT go through these guys because even though they had acknowledged fault, as soon as they saw they did not have insurance they did not offer up any other solutions. I will post pictures of conversations. TLDR: DO NOT USE BARRIER AUTO GLASS THEY MESSED UP MY EQUIPMENT AND ARE NOT BEING RESPONSIVE AND THEY DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIM THEY DID

I have extreme anxiety of being the passenger in a vehicle I am not driving and my daughters and I were very nervous about being in a big truck with our top-heavy Ford Expedition being carried behind us -- AND my daughter gets nervous and motion sick from the bumps if she can't see when they are coming up. But Mark was just great about it, offering reassurance, telling us about his experience driving for decades and it was clear he was keeping our fears in mind as he drove. The road going back down the the mountain was awful -- with bumps and potholes and unpaved areas and we were riding in a large truck going down winding mountain roads along many scary dropoffs. There was tho one page that I didn't feel comfortable signing. It's for diagnostics testing. Now, I understand the need for this testing for vehicles that have been involved in an accident as there are tons of sensors and such on new cars. But mine was merely a scratch and a dent from a ball or something. I stated it seemed like a good way for them to just make money. I checked the box "no" stating I dont want to pay for diagnostics if insurance doesn't pay for it." About that time, the office gal Hannah just looked irritated and then told me my estimator was outside. The estimator was nice enough. I asked about why I needed diagnostics on something like this, and he wasn't quite sure. I gave him my keys and waited for my Lift ride About 10 mins later, my ride arrives, and as I'm about to open the door, I hear the estimator yelling "sir" and is literally running towards me. He says, " You need to sign this page!" I then see the staff watching this from the window. My Lift driver looked confused, so I only asked once again why I needed it. He said it's so when they disconnect my battery. Still didn't answer my question. I signed it and got out of there. The next day, I decided to call and try and speak to a manager. I was told Hannah was available. Nicely asked if there was anyone above her. I was then transferred to Logan the estimator. I asked again for a manager and was put on hold and then disconnected. About 30 minutes later I was contacted by a lady whom I'm assuming was a manager and was told, it seems we aren't going to be a good match for you and you need to pick your vehicle up. I was told I wasn't willing to participate in following their process. I simply wanted a solid reason as to why a simple ding and scratch required a $120 per panel scan that if my insurance didn't cover I was on the hook for. The whole running out as I was getting in a Lyft was bad optics, and I feel like my experience was quite unprofessional.
