This tow truck driver was called to tow a pickup truck from a private driveway. Instead of towing the pickup from the driveway he backed up to an SUV that was LEGALLY (per the police) parked in the culdesac. Before he hooked up to the SUV we came out of the house and asked what he was doing. Instead of stopping, he put the bar out and lifted the back of the SUV. He said he was taking the SUV to his lot and wouldn't put it down unless we paid him $300. We had to call the cops to keep him from taking the SUV. The police said since he was hooked up it was a civil matter and we would need to take him to court for it to be resolved. The police talked him into lowering the fee to $100 so we paid him and he let the car down and left. He wasn't getting paid for the vehicle he was called to tow so he was going to get money from someone, whether it was legal or not! He was not helpful at all and wouldn't even tell us his name when the 911 operator asked for it. He said "it's on my shirt" but we standing in the dark and his shirt couldn't be seen. This guy will scam you for the most money he can get, even if it is illegally. If I could give zero stars I would. Also, this is on Christmas night. read more

Writing this on behalf of my dad. :) These guys came out and towed my dad. He got a bit stranded and AAA had him waiting for 4 hours. Called Too Cool and they were out within 20 minutes and had him all squared away. They were kind to him and patient, which means so much. If you need a tow, you are already probably having a bad day-they really seemed to understand this, and provided great service and help. Too Cool is on AAA's provider list. If you can front the money for service and wait for AAA to reimburse, give them a call, especially if AAA gives you a long wait time! read more

Needed my vehicle towed from my home to the shop after my insurance left me high and dry. Called before 7am, Too Cool promptly answered. Dispatcher was extremely friendly and easy to work with. Set up a time for tow to arrive for pickup. Driver arrived, was courteous and friendly. Hooked quickly and took to the shop. Dropped off in a spot. My Prius wouldn't start in my garage and when I called the dealership they told me to have it towed in so they could diagnosis the problem. I called Too Cool and made arrangements for them to come out the next morning. I got a call in the morning from John, the driver, advising me when he would arrive (a little late because he had been sent out of town on his previous call). When John arrived he was able to diagnosis the problem was the 12 volt battery. He jumped the car so I could drive to the dealership, recommended going to AutoZone for a battery, and followed me there to make sure I didn't get stranded. By giving me a jump instead of towing me to the dealership, he saved me about $75. I ended up having to go to the dealership to have the battery installed (AutoZone said that on a Hybrid it was "very important " that it be done properly). Buying the battery at AutoZone saved me an additional $150. John was professional, friendly (so was his dog), and he saved me a bundle, not too mention going out of his way to follow me to the store. What an awesome experience even in the stressfulness of needing a tow. My motorcycle broke down and on top of that, it was raining. My wife called too cool towing and the service we got was definitely amazing. John assisted us tonight. By far, best tow company around. My car broke down not too far from home, and a close friend recommended Too Cool Towing. They were quick, professional, efficient, and honest. The next day, I had to get my car towed to the mechanic, so I chose to use the road side assistance my insurance offers, so I didn't have to worry about the reimbursement. Avoid at all cost! Showed up with truck that would not be possible to haul a 5th wheel. Then 1.5 hour later returns pissed off. Very quickly hooks up and would not listen to how to correct hook up my trailer. 45' trailer hooked up without running lights and only brake lights in back. Took off and lifted trailer very high in air. I thought my trailer will never make it back in once piece. Then he parks my trailer in the turning lane on a busy hwy while he goes and gets some hamburgers. Trailer made it back...but with a lot of damage. Coupler destroyed where it was impossible to use trailer! Even the area that the couple connects to, solid metal was bent. He struggled to get trailer off but then didn't even report the damage. One I tried to hook up and it was not usable then I got to be sworn at, threatened and treated as the problem in attempts to get my trailer fixed. Only way to get resolved was directly through AAA who was actually great to deal with to resolve the problem once I got a manager. Owner will not take care of your property nor fix it once damaged. Amazing with his recklessness didn't cause more damage. But by far was his behavior and threatening treatment in attempts to get my trailer working again. Even called and swore at the shops that I wanted to use for the repairs. Avoid!! read more

I patiently waited for a tow being sent via AAA today. I got a call from AAA that "The tow truck will arrive in 15 min. or less". after an 1 & 1/2 hr. wait, I called Too Cool Towing to ask why it was taking so long & the guy goes "It got cancelled". What?? He stated the truck broke down. I asked why he didn't call me & he said "Well, I called AAA & told them". AAA didn't take the time to call me either so I just would've keep waiting.
